I must complain… This is not the first time that I’ve noticed, at this location, that I’ve been shorted on my bowl. Really, It’s only brown rice and veggies, with a few of pieces of chicken, and they try to short us… I did mention it to the server, she said that the bowls are bigger???

I always go here for a quick bite whenever I study at the Starbucks next door. It’s convenient and I like the food. But the last time I went there, I paid $ 7.50 for a bowl that was ¾ full. Seriously?! Anytime I’ve gone to a Flame Broiler location, my bowls were always packed to the top. I felt like I got ripped off.

Kind of far from the main parts of Long Beach, but it’s really convenient if you are flying in/​out of the LBC since it’s just down the street from the airport. It is located in the plaza with plenty of other restaurants, such as Habit Burger and the California Fish Grill. The parking lot can get packed during peak dining hours.
Unlike the other restaurants in this plaza, Flame Broiler location seems to always be deserted when I go there. The food is good, just like every other Flame Broiler, portion size is good (one location that I went to had ridiculously small portions), and my order has never been messed up. However, the other day, my food was left out on the counter by the cook for 5 minutes before the cashier in the front would give it to me — she was in the back socializing or whatever — I don’t really know. A little annoying there.

Located in the busy Lakewood/​Cover food corner, this small-​ish location can get quite crowded and waiting around for your food amidst the crowd at the height of lunch hour can be a bit challenging – I’m never sure where the best place is to stand. Aside from that, it delivers everything you could possibly want from a Flame Broiler. I’ve been a few times and the quality and preparation of the food have been consistent and predictable – possibly the highest praise one could give to a chain restaurant.
STEPH JUDGEMENT: A typical Flame Broiler – no more, no less.

It was as good if not better than other FB’s. And I’ve been to them all. Right across from the New Marriott. Clean little shopping center on Lakewood Boulevard.
