This place is really good and the food is very delicious. I’ve been eating here for almost a year now and in my opinion it’s one of the best taco spots in Long Beach. They also have good flan which is made fresh.

The breakfast we had here was delicious. Breakfast burrito and avocado omelettes! I’m eager to go back to try their lunch.

These are one of those toe of places that you go to because a friend told you about it. It is kind of a hole in the wall but that can be a good thing The atmosphere is great and the people that come to the place are also very nice as well. If you are interested in a new place to partake with some good tacos them this is a place to give a try. When you first walk in you can smell the food on the stoves and grills that are cooking the food in the back. They could have any type tacos that you want. They have the usually carne asada, carnitas, chicken, shrimp, fish, beef tongue and more. Depending on my mood I can get the shrimp, chicken, or even the carne Asada. On this trip I got the shrimp tacos that come with cabbage and pico de gallo. The shrimp is cooked perfectly and all of the seasoning makes it takes so good once it all together on the tacos. Now tacos are not the only thing that they serve they do have burritos, enchiladas and also they do breakfast. The prices are very reasonable and if you happen to make it on a Tuesday they are even a better deal and it may make you want to try a couple of different types just because. All in all it is a great little spot to give a try if you are in the mood for some good food.

I tried the mushroom taco and the grilled and breaded fish, but I am ambivalent on the matter as I am actually a chimpanzee.

I have been coming to this location since early 2013, and along with Louie Burgers, this is why I visit this side of town in Long Beach. I usually get the breakfast burritos, particularly the chorizo, and unlike some places, their chorizo isn’t greasy nor is it too burnt. Also, I love their fresh salsa bar. From what one of the ladies there told me, the salsa is homemade right at the restaurant. Sometimes they have a breakfast burrito special for $ 3.95 + tax that comes with coffee or juice! Where else can you get this deal? Even their other items on their menu are still decent, including their menudo and caldos. Please keep up with the freshness and quality of food that keeps me and my friends return weekly. ¡Muchas gracias!

I’m so happy I discovered this little gem. The micheladas are amazing. I come here about once a week, I love the amazing customer service and good food! Their carne asada fries are everything… Menudo on Sunday’s is a must!

Taco Tuesday We broke tradition from the cantarito on 7/cherry. I had al pastor n asada. The tacos had more meat but the flavor at my usual spot is better. my place also has dollar shock top or Stella. Not bad. but found better

I’d come here for the micheladas alone… they are huge and like $ 6! For tacos I recommend the potato and also the fish. Asada and al pastor are pretty standard but nothing to write home about. Salsa bar is good and the ladies that work here are super nice. Nice diverse crowd as well. I would be here every taco Tuesday if I could lol.

I decided to fit one of every mexican two they offered here and I was surprised by a consistently good flavor from one taco to the next. It seems to always be busy here, however if you are patient and understanding with the crew they will look after you and make sure you get what you need. Overall I really liked this place I just felt the tacos w r e 4⁄5 not 5⁄5.

I was wrong about this place so I deleted my previous review. This place rocks. Great Mexican food at good prices. The best days are Tuesday and Fridays when they have Mexican tacos for $ 1, American tacos for $ 1.25 and mushroom tacos for $ 2(my personal favorite).

Came here after shopping with the boyfriend in Costa Mesa yesterday. I haven’t had tacos in a while and this is a little overdue. I got a carne asada taco, shrimp, and a fish taco. This place is authentic as they use the small tortillas. Yet they still pack the tacos with a lot of meat and with a lot of cabbage, salsa, cilantro, etc. First bite of the carne asada taco and I thought not bad. Honestly you can’t go wrong with carne asada. When I bite into the fish taco I was surprised. The fish isn’t fried up as a whole piece. It was fried up and then cut up. This is different from other fish tacos I’ve had in the past. Seeing as how a lot of fish tacos usually have a whole piece of fish fried up. Their shrimp taco was legit good! It was piled on with a lot of shrimp that was grilled. And the salsa was on point.

I came here on taco Tuesday’s for their tacos but after seeing their extensive menu I was unsure. I stuck with the tacos anyways but want to come back to try their other plates. Oh and the micheladas! I regret not getting one they are served in a big mug. Back to food, their fried fish tacos were great they are breaded and are accompanied by a creamy chipotle sauce that pairs well. The Carne asada taco was delicious with their salsa and the al pastor tasted like chorizo for me it was good but not what I expected. Their French fries are sooooo good, their crisp and soft in the inside, I usually like eating chips& salsa with my tacos but I might start this new combo, they’re that good. My boyfriend had a torta de asada and was taken back to his childhood, apparently he hasn’t had a torta like this since then. I love the atmosphere and the old kumbias playing, perfect for eating tacos! Only downside is parking :(I live a few blocks away and drove here, next time I might just walk.

I came here after the Long Beach Half Marathon since I was very hungry! It’s a quaint place with very festive decorations inside. I liked the tv screens showing football and soccer games. The service was pretty amazing with the waitress/cashier asking if we needed anything or some chips and salsa while we were waiting for our food. I really wanted to like this place but the chile rellenos were not too good. The cheese inside the chile wasn’t even melted and there was just too much cheese everywhere. It was like they were trying to cover up the actual food or something. The chicken enchilada was alright. It was a bit small and the chicken tasted very oily. The fish taco was good with the salsa. I’ll admit, they’re salsas were on point! Overall, I would most likely go to another Mexican restaurant if I wanted more authentic food.

Girlfriend and I were super hung over on a Sunday morning so breakfast burritos were def in order. We walked here from my apartment downtown so it’s super close if you live in the Art District or anywhere around there. Average size place, clean, brightly decorated, comfortable seating, they serve beer, well-stocked salsa bar, nice staff, etc. My friend got a bacon breakfast burrito and I can’t have flour so they made my burrito in three corn tortillas instead(breakfast tacos mmm). The food was super inexpensive and unlike most Mexican places, our food wasn’t greasy at all. We left feeling satisfied instead of holding our bellies feeling awful. I will 100% be back here.

I checked out taco Tuesday. The chicken tacos were fine. The carne asada tacos left a lot to be desired. In fairness, I have pretty high standards for SoCal Mexican food, but I don’t think I’ll be back. If you do go, the corn chips are good.

Came here for their taco tuesday deals hoping it would satisfy my taco craving and sadly, this place didn’t. The service here is very friendly and welcoming, and their deals are great, but their tacos lacked flavor. I got the el pastor and it was way too dry, and my boyfriend carne asada was also a tad bit too dry. They had a salsa table with a variety of pickled veggies and salsa; we were hoping that it would help the tacos taste less dry, but all four salsa were very plain. We were hoping this would be our new taco joint, but the meat was a tad bit dry and the salsa was very plain and didn’t add oopmh or spice to the tacos. But not all the tacos were at a lost because I would definitely recommend the lengua tacos, my bf said it was one of the best one he has had, and the fried fish tacos!!! If you’re craving a fish taco this is the place to go to! They also have one of the best deals for horchata, a large refillable cup for 1.99. I was really hoping to give this place five stars, but was sadly disappointed in their carne asada and el pastor tacos. Those are the most basic type of taco meat and i’m truly sad they just couldn’t get it right, but it does have a few gems like the fish tacos, lengua tacos, and horchata — definitely stop by for those items!

I have been meaning to try this place for some time and today I decided to drop by. Pleasantly surprised with their veggie options. I had a big ol’ quesadilla that was full of zucchini, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and garlic. It came with guac and sour cream. Not to mention the salsas and jalapeños at the salsa bar! On a meat eating note: my boyfriend really liked his California burrito as well. And as for taco nights: muy mediocre. Tiny. Plain. Sura next door has better, more flavorful tacos.
