Great food and service. The natural juices are amazing. Four stars cause it’s a little pricier than I would have liked for lunch.

My first time trying Colombian food and it was delicious. The staff was very nice and explained the different types of dishes. Definitely returning soon to try other items on the menu.

Looking for good Colombian food and I found it. Authentic taste and service. Shady looking area only downside to attracting more people. Must have the empanadas.

Came here because I wanted to switch up the food and based on the 4.5 star rating. Location isn’t the greatest do to laundry place next to it and the parking can be bad since people park behind you. Restaurant is cool looking as it gives you a true authentic feeling to a Columbian restaurant Service wasn’t great as it took a while to get checked on, server forgot drinks, and had to pretty much get up and go ask for stuff my self. Prices are pretty high for the type of place and the meal you pay for. Food isn’t too bad maybe a 4 out of 5 but wouldn’t be coming back, would be looking into other options.

Es mi segunda vez aquí! La comida estaba espectacular! It was my second time here and the food was seriously delicious! I’m Colombian and was missing my food a lot! Ordered my favorite dish, Bandeja Paisa/Tipica! My partner ordered Churasco a la Marinera! Also fabulous! Over all, had a great time and the best Colombian music was playing the whole time! Keep up the good work, guys! Doing a phenomenal job and I’m pretty sure the restaurant will need to expand in a few years! Coming back for sure, and this time, next month!

I’m probably a bit bias. This was my first time eating Columbian food, and my review will be about the taste of Columbian food vs the authenticity of this restaurant. I ordered the mixed platter as recommended, however the meats tasted a bit harsh especially the fried pork. It is definitely heavy dish. Very difficult to consume by yourself. The owner was very nice and the restaurant did have a Columbian décor to it. The neighborhood however looked very sketchy. Don’t recommend going there at night.

Best place in Long Beach to get Colombian typical food with a very friendly staff. There is another Colombian restaurant but it’s overpriced gourmet style. I would give it 5 stars if: 1. If most of the meals prices were less than $ 10.00 or if they had choices for lunch specials, I’d go more often. 2. Besides the food the place is big and comfortable. But the entrance is not appealing and the restaurant floor looks dirty. So, best Colombian flavor in town, but the environment. Not so much

My husband and i had a BAD experience here. He got food poisoning from eating chicken and i got a bad stomach ache from their corn arepa. They are not clean and we were not happy at all with the service, and the bathroom is extremely dirty.

We decided to try this place out after having searched online for Colombian restaurants in Long Beach. If I could give this eatery 10 stars, I would. The staff is very friendly and the food is beyond delicious. If you are a fan of chicharrones and plantains, then this is your next favorite restaurant. And Colombia’s version of boiled beans is out of this world. So far I’ve had Carne Asada and their Platter Typico, both of which were scrumptious. It’s just a restaurant that you have to experience, aside from all the cool pictures of the food. I can’t recommend it highly enough. We look forward to going there again soon!

This place was okay. Some of the food was good, some wasn’t well cooked. The«carne asada» was cooked only half way and the the other half was raw with blood on it. The drink«maracuya» definitely hit the spot! It’s a good place but be careful with what you order.

One word: CHICHARRON! I was in meat candy heaven — with my lips glistening with pork fat. TMI? Oh well, this place has great food, great service and plenty of options… breakfast too! We will be returning — you best believe! PS empanadas are delish!

OH my goodness! Where do I start. Haha it was just so perfect HONESTLY. Fast service, super super friendly and completely sweet. Got a delicious dessert on the house and a baked good on the house. LOVEDIT! You must try this dessert they have its called postre de natas! And the yummy baked good I was given was a pandebono, GOD so delish! I have to take pics when I go back, because I was so busy eating all the food and enjoying it I forgot to take them LOL It is a bakery and restaurant and they sell mixes for making baked goods, and other yummy treats. The waiter I had was a true sweetheart, he was excellent in every way. I also ordered the soup Of the day which was ajiaco de pollo, it’s beyond good, the chicken is just perfect no bones, no fat. PERFECT. Comes with a nice salad and rice and avocado. I would just like to applaud this place for giving salad, THANKYOU. God knows I need some greens with my meals. The papas Rellenas and empanadas are a must to order, the papas Rellenas are pretty big, the size of my palm! The chicken and carne are so amazing, I actually can’t decide which one I like more haha. Their aji, which is a special Colombian sauce(not spicy) is GOOD, try it with your empanadas and papas Rellenas, they’re brought with it. I highly recommend you get a drink and don’t be afraid to ask, they’re so helpful, the postobon Apple/manzana flavor is so great and the Colombiana soda, they have a special not so overly sweet taste, its satisfying. I will definitely come here often. Best Colombian restaurant I’ve gone to. The atmosphere is just wonderful, you must go! Bless these people with your business PLEASE

I used to live in Queens, NY for a while then one of my favorite food around the area was Colombian food. I was expecting to taste some good Colombian food in CA too, but it was not easy to find one nearby my neighborhood. Finally i found one in near my bf’s school and we tried. I told my bf that Colombian food is something very homey so he will like it for sure but he seems not interested in but we still tried cuz i know it is good! There is a parking lot behind the restaurant. We 2 people ordered *orden de empanadas $ 3.75 I think it is Colombian fried dumpling. You can taste pork&potatoes inside and it is really good. Just make sure, it comes with 3 pieces not 2. *Mountain Platter $ 18.95 The reason i like about Colombian food is it comes with many plates such as Salad, French Fries, rice&beans, potato mayo salad, etc I wanted my bf to try everything so we order this platter, which was very a good choice. I always love beef and fried pork skin which are very good. I found i even more love their shrimp… It was soooo good. Seriously amazing! Chicken was so tender and good too. Everything was so good even more than i was expecting! *Piña colada $ 4.99 They give us the best piña colada inside the whole small pineapple! You should try! Everything was really good. Perfect portion for two, but i believe Colombian food in Queens, NY was more bigger portion with similar price.

My first time trying Colombian food and definitely not my last. I WILLBEBACK!(: This place recently opened earlier this year. I didn’t think much of it due to the area. I decided to give this place a try after reading the great reviews about El Paisa. They also have another location in New York! Service was slow, but the waiter was awesome. He was very nice, giving us information about the place and food. He was very proud and kept a smile on his face. I had the Chicken and Beef Empanadas which was delicious(MUSTTRY) & Shell Steak with Shrimp in a garlic sauce. That was also delicious. Most definitely will be back. The area isn’t great and as long as they keep it clean, they’ll do just fine.

Wow! This was the first time I had columbian food and it was amazing. We had the empanadas, traditional platter(beef, plantain, fried three layer pork, avocado, rice, and beans), and a pitcher of sangria. I didn’t care for the sangria, it was very meh. But our server was really nice and patient with us and he even gave me a frozen mango margarita on the house. The flavor was outstanding and I think the price was fair for the quality of the food. Some things to be aware of, the neighborhood is not that great. From the outside, you might question it a bit and even the inside. However, I also felt like I was transported to a different country which was nice. I will definitely be back for those fried three layer pork and dranks.

I took my mom here instead of going to the Colombian festival just this past Sunday. I’ve been to a few other Colombian restaurants and I’m also Colombian and although my expectations weren’t too high I was still very pleased with the food. We both got a traditional Colombian plate, Bandeja Paisa, hers with the ground beef and mine with the steak. Both were a bit dry but very savory. The salad given to us before was exactly as described before, one beet, one slice of cucumber and one slice of tomato. Prices weren’t too bad, 12.50 for each of our plates. Wasn’t too impressed with the service. Our waiter gave us a few, «don’t you know?» Type of stares to our questions. Service was also a bit slow. I still recommend this place. We both went home with left overs.

So glad I found this place. I’ve tried several Colombian restaurants all around SoCal and this is by far the best. Came for Lunch: – Bistec Decebollado(steak and onions): Yes! Sometimes hard to find, but this was one of my favorite dishes when I was a kid in Cartagena. So glad this place has it! – Beef Empanadas: The real deal. Cornmeal empanadas! Choice of fillings(beef, chicken, pork). Served with two sauces(garlic and hot).(^_^) They were very accommodating. I asked to swap out the maduros(ripe/sweet plantains) for tostones(crispy non-sweet fried plantains).(^_^) So good, I returned for dinner with friends: – Friday soup special was fish: Very tasty! Loved it even more than the bistec. The small is huge(7″ bowl?). Came unexpectedly with a side of fried fish filet!(^_^) – Sangria: Excellent! – Chicken Empanadas: Also very good! Friends loved it too! They had platters and said the maduros are good too. I live in NorCal but visit LA once a month. I’ll be coming back to this place for sure! They are local and will too!

I ate so much goodness, I almost passed out. The empanadas are d-lish(shrimp) The sangria, I could have dranked three pitchers. It was that goodThen the waiter gave me a free shot. Now I’m really feeling good. The chef suggested I get the paella. I’m glad he did. It comes with a quarter of grilled chicken. Tinder flavorful. The dish is full of seafood(shrimp, scallops, and more chicken) it’s enough food for two ppl. A must have. I’ll be back soon

El sector y el restaurante como tal no son los mejores pero sus platos y su buen servicio al estilo Colombiano salvan lo demas… recomendado!
