Dusk To Dawn Urgent Care

HORRIBLE experience! I can’t believe the ordeal we went through just to get my daughter’s injured hand X-​rayed. First we went to the Long Beach location this morning and waited almost 2 hours before seeing apparently the only doctor working there. He spent all of 3 minutes with us before telling us to go to the Paramount location at 4 PM for an X-​ray since the LB branch doesn’t have their own X-​ray machine (???). Fine, we get to the Paramount branch and have to wait almost 45 minutes to get the X-​ray. When I asked about the results, they told me that they don’t have the radiologist at the office and that they faxed the X-​ray to him. Seriously!!! They told me that he would call me in about 20 minutes with results. When 30 minutes had gone by and I still hadn’t gotten a call, I complained to the front desk, who seemed surprised that I was still there. They finally got the doctor to call me, and fortunately, my daughter didn’t have anything broken or sprained. In total, we wasted almost 4 hours to get this information. I will NEVER again have anything to do with Dusk to Dawn Urgent Care!

I guess you get what you pay for, but seriously I while have found a better place to go if it weren’t for the fact that my poor person’s insurance only allows this place.
They should be open, of course 20 minutes after 9 they are not. I have better things to do than to wait outside the office. Like waiting inside the office for who knows what?

Don’t waste your time or jeopardize your health if you want quality urgent care. I would not recommend to anyone, and I went to two locations on the same day, L.B. And Paramount since L.B. Could not finish the exam. Five days later no one has called me with any x-​ray diagnosis, yet they told me they would call the next day. I went in with pulmonary infection, migraine and trouble breathing and bad coughing. I didn’t go in there to feel worse than when I arrived. Long delays, incompetent aides that also serve as reception, couldn’t fill my script it was written incorrectly so pharmacist said it would be illegal to fill, can’t get a hold of anyone on the phone for follow up. I ended up going to my regular Dr two days later and was diagnosed with pneumonia. I wrote the urgent care owners a letter of complaint 4 days ago and have not heard back. Beware, go to another urgent care brand!

It is really hard for me to give a 1 star rating because I know how detrimental it can be to a business to be flooded with poor ratings on Unilocal.But, that being said, all the reviews about this place are spot on. I went in at 11 and I was one of two people in that waiting room. After 45 minutes, I made it back to the exam room. While I was waiting, I literally fell asleep. at 12:30, an older asian gentleman by the name of «Roberto Valento» came in. Bedside manner was poor, and I may be incorrect in this assumption, but he seemed WASTED. His speech was slurred and he was rocking back and forth on his feet. He was understandably frustrated that I was in to see him about an issue that should be directed to a primary care provider, but since it was a 2 to 3 week wait to see my PCP, I had no choice but go to an urgent care clinic to prevent an eye infection caused from a corneal abrasion. I’ve had a corneal abrasion before, and they typically add some dye to the eye to make sure it is not a foreign object and follow it up with a thorough exam of the eye. Then they give antibiotic eye drops to make sure an infection does not occur. The doctor seemed unwilling to perform an actual exam, and after a vent session on our healthcare system (again, an understandable vent session) he just prescribed me the antibiotics. He never introduced himself, and the only reason I have his name is because it is listed on my antibiotic prescription.
But here’s the strange part. When I went to get my prescription filled, they informed me that insurance will not cover prescriptions from this doctor. Other reviews say that he is under investigation. So I paid full price ($ 36) for 10 eye drops. Which is crazy. I’ve been sitting on my computer this morning trying to look up why he is under investigation, and I cannot find anything on the guy. Which makes me wonder if he is even using his actual name. Obviously, I am not planning on coming back to this location, and I am curious to find out more about this mysterious Dr. Valento. I should have just paid the $ 100 at another clinic — and you should too!

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! You will be wasting your time. We arrived at the building at 8:15 P.M. Supposedly they are open until 9:00 P.M. There was no one in the lobby to let us in. Thinking we had the wrong door, we looked around. Someone came out, and he told us to call the care center. No way we would have known that, otherwise. Calling the care center number, we were treated to a long list of options (hours, directions, billing, etc.), none of which referenced being able to talk to an actual person. In desperation, we pressed «0». After a long wait, an operator came on the line, told us to hold, and disappeared. After 5 minutes or so, the operator came back on the line. We told him our problem. He disappeared again. After a few minutes, he told us someone would be coming to open the door. He hung up. No one ever came to open the door. We wasted about 25 minutes, at a time when we really needed help. These people do not understand the word «urgent.» Nor do they understand the word «care.»

I took my husband in for back pain. Wait time was about an hour, my husband was in pain just walking when the nurse saw that he was in pain she had a smurk on her face. The dr thats saw him was an older gentleman that seemed anoyed from the get go, he said «well you can walk right» «you walked in here». Hes seems to just disregard what my husband was telling him and gave him a prescription for motrin. I will not be taking my husband nor kids there. My suggestion is if you dont like your job then find a different on.

I went in a few days ago at 3pm in the afternoon. I sliced my baby finger open with a drill and needed stitches. The attending physician was a mature gentleman. I say that because other reviews mention him. I’ll tell you what: he stitched my gash up like a pro! I got in fast. He took around 30 mins to stitch me up. The staff was cool and very nice to me. Cutie pie gave me a shot in the rump of antibiotics and sent me on my way with a prescription for more. The place is good. I really appreciate them putting me back together.

AWFUL experience because is it POORLY managed. We came on a Fri at 9am right when it opened (for a TB test.) We were the third patient. There was only one staff person present in the whole office, a nurse, so she was busy processing all of the patients and their paperwork. A few more patients came in after us. At 9:35am, a second nurse came in, who also had to process all of the patients. Finally, at 9:50am, the first patient was called back. We were called at 10am. We didn’t leave until 11am, even though we were third to be called into an exam room and came right when it opened. Also, after we paid the co-​pay, we had to wait 10 min for the receipt to come because it was processed in another office and the receipt had to be faxed over. Really?! (The nurse who helped my son was very kind, however.)
They told us to come back in 48 hours to have it read, which was today, the Easter holiday. NO ONE told me that this location would be closed on Easter, when we had to come back. Very unprofessional! During our Easter festivities I took my son to this location, only to find it was closed. I had to go to the office in Paramount. We were the only patients there (according to the sign-​in sheet & empty lobby), & we still had to wait a while. I don’t understand why we had to wait so long both times.
This business is not run well.

Like most of the other reviews this place is under par. I’ve been two times now. I got to the office right at 9am and was the first patient. I waited in the office until 1030. I asked the med techs what the hold up was and they told me that even though they open at 9 the doctor doesn’t come in until 10 and on this day the doctor was running late.
The first time I came in I saw Dr. Eugene and even though he was late I thought he was very personable and efficient. I came in with a very bad cold and I left with antibiotics. I liked his doctor style and he was also very informative.
Second time I came in I saw an older Asian doctor (can’t remember his name) and my experience was HORRIBLE. As soon as the doctor came in he told me what I had, without him checking my lungs or ears. I asked him how he knew I had the flu without checking me and his response was ‘did you take biology class?’, I cannot believe how rude that was! he also told me ‘everyone’ has it. He then told me he wasn’t going to give me antibiotics. I told him that I’ve been around a lot of sick people (I work as an EMT) and that I felt absolutely horrible. He continued to argue with me and then he finally checked my ears. I told him I’ve had a lot of pain in one of my ears and he told me the antibiotics would help… Ummm he just said he wasn’t going to issue it! Anyways he never checked my lungs! He told me he wanted me to rest and take 3 days off work! Lol. This doc was obviously burned out and I will never be back because of him. The front desk staff seemed inept as well.

We waited 1.5 hrs to be seen by a Dr that seemed to be in his early 90’s walked in didn’t shut, the door behind him checked my husbands ears and mouth and walked out! Didnt even tell me what was wrong. He just said to gargle some 99 cent mouth wash, really! And when I asked him what was wrong with my husband he said «fine I don’t want to argue he has a mild ear infection, I will prescribe him some ear drops» will never come here again. Oh and apparently he does the same with everyone else that we asked in the waiting room. Pts were even more confused of what was wrong with them after they saw him.

Is 0 stars an option???
I had to bring my girlfriends daughter here. I’m military so I’m not used to civilian doctor offices. When I looked on my iPhone maps app it said they opened at 7. We rushed over to beat the crowd hopefully and arrived at 845. Only to see the door say they don’t open until 9am. Ok no biggie, 15mins, first patient, should be in and out right? WRONG! Vitals were not taken until 1030, and that’s only after me asking when we would be seen. I was told by the front desk woman that the doctor is on his way and should be in shortly but she didn’t have a time. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL! He finally arrives at 11am and comes in to see us. No apology for his tardiness or anything, just a quick 90 seconds visit. I wasn’t expecting a 20 min sit down but gee whiz 90 seconds? (If that). I was very disappointed and wish I had checked Unilocal before we went. Until her and her daughters are Tricare eligible I will ensure they NEVER go there again!!!

Horrible Urgent Care. They only have 1 doctor on site and he takes forever. I got here at 3:15 and it’s 5 pm still waiting. Yes he does procedures but when he do it can take over 2 hours long before he sees you. Omg never again. FYI an urgent care needs 3 doctors on site at any given time.

This was my first visit, I was referred here by another doctors office. I checked in on a Thursday at 9:05, I was called up to the counter at 9:20 to fill out some paperwork. I have straight medi-​cal and was told that my visit would be $ 1, that was a first. At 10:05 the receptionist walked into the waiting room and said «the physician is running late but I can check you into your room.» (I’m assuming that means he comes in at 10 although their hours state 9AM) At 10:30 the receptionist came into my room to take my temp, BP, and weight, she also asked what symptoms I was having. Finally at 11:30 I asked how much longer I would have to wait and her exact words were «I don’t know, he’s not answering my calls.» I left. Over two hours wasted and I will never go back. Terri

I’ve been here 4 hours, and still waiting. Unfortunately I’ll have the hundreds of billboards around the city to remind me of this UNFORTUNATE decision to come here.

Score: 5 hours for a small routine issue. I only went because I am between doctors. I literally know what it feels like to be in prison.

Just don’t even waste your time coming…

The Dr was nice and seemed proactive. Wait wasnt that bad. Office girls not very friendly.

Rite Aid hates working with them. Its difficult to get prescription filled. They told me they faxed and called yet they never did. Such incompatency! No follow through. Never again and i recommend you dont either! I mean he wrote it incorrectly to what he wrote doesnt exist!

Sad when you need urgent care and the place is closed a half hour before closing hours smh

I rounded up on the stars, would say more a 2.5. The wait was long as others said but not too unreasonable. The staff was polite but not overly welcoming or friendly. The doctor did not even introduce himself and had pretty much zero bedside manner, just straight to the point and sat down and wrote on the paperwork for about 4 awkward silent minutes!
I just had a sinus infections, pretty basic, so I can’t really say much on the knowledge of the doctor… They didn’t take my height or weight just asked me if I knew it, which was odd since I thought that was standard procedures, especially for a new patient. I do know my height and weight, but it’s more the fact I was asked and not actually measured I found a little strange.
The office seemed clean, and not overcrowded which was nice,

Yeah the wait time is long sand they are not the most talkative people in the world but it IS urgent care so of course the wait is long. The first time I went here I had horrible neck pain and an amazing black woman helped me and she was by far the best doctor I have had in my life, i wish i could remember her name. The second time was an older man and he was okay, to the point which is what I needed since I had a bad flu. Overall, I will go back when I cannot have my doctors office.

Wow ! How naïve of me to not read the reviews before I came to this place but I see that my view is the same as everyone else and I thought I would throw my two cents into the pot.
To start, I was referred here by another incompetent practice *cough* Western Hand Center *cough*…I walked up to the counter where I greeted the nurse with a warm «Hello» and all I got back in return was a blank stare. whatever, it was early and I’m not here to make friends. I filled out the provided paperwork and proceeded to pay the $ 35 copay… I then went to the back and waited for the doctor, mind you in the ONLY person in here and I had to wait forever. When he arrived I told him that I had a laceration on my left hand that needed surgical stitching to which he replied.
«We don’t do that here»… «I’m not a hand surgeon, Why did they send you here»
Um I don’t know… you tell me !
At this point I’m beyond frustrated after dealing with Western Hand Center for 2 hours I’m now highly confused as to why they sent me here knowing they don’t deal with Orthopedic surgery. I demand my money back as I didn’t need a diagnosis I NEED A SURGEON ! The doctor and nurse then proceed to tell me they can help me out and that they just need to get ahold of Dr. Allen to refer me to an Orthopedic surgeon.
So I leave and I wait… and wait… and wait… FINALLY, I call back and a man answers the phone and I tell him about the situation and he then says they are still working on it and that they’ll call me back in an hour to which I then go into detail about getting my money back and then his tone gets real rude and defensive. He explains that they are doing everything they can and he can’t believe that I would be asking for my money back and then rudely hangs up. Did I ever hear back from them? Nope and I found my own Orthopedic surgeon after a couple of phone calls on my end.
TERRIBLE. GARBAGE. TACKY… A few words to describe the business practice of this god awful place. Best believe I’m calling back in the morning to demand my money back… I know it’s only $ 35 but I didn’t need to spend that to have them tell me what’s wrong with my hand ! Avoid at all cost !
