Driving past here for so very long was a big mistake on my part. The secret is using good, no, better quality cuts of beef and proprietary seasoning process that makes their carne asada tacos the most tender and flavorful around. And I love the fact that they are built before your eyes and there’s no extra charge for guacamole. And they have a Coke Freestyle where I can get a ginger ale with these awesome tacos? Someone pinch me.

CT is a 2−3x per month event for my family. We often hit CT before shopping at Whole Foods and the food never disappoints. This place seems fresher than Chipotle and that’s a plus. The place is clean, the employees are polite and my order is always accurate. It’s never really busy but 2 – 3 people can be in line if you come around lunch or dinner. Order ahead if you don’t want to wait and join their rewards programme. Charge your car at Whole Foods while you eat.

If your looking to get some good fish tacos then this is the place for you. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about their other meats. I’ve tried every taco style they have over a period of time and their fish ones are the only ones worth mentioning. Their meat(chicken, carnitas, carne azada etc) were not warm upon eating, the corn tortillas were also not warm or heated and they put so many ingredients that the 2 tortillas fall apart. I will say that their staff has always been very friendly, atmosphere was pleasant with good music and plenty of parking in the Plaza. Sadly, very pricey for mediocre food. I want to make it clear that this review is strictly on their tacos since that’s all I’ve ever ordered. 4 tacos and a drink for $ 15? Sorry, but not worth it. I’ll be taking my coin elsewhere.

Excellent food and service. I had a not so good experience last June. Following said experience, the owner Michael learned of the issue and contacted me right away. He was very apologetic and understanding of my frustration. I returned a few weeks following the bad experience and the service was much better. I have been coming to this Chronic Taco for a long time. A lot of the time, I order for delivery through Doordash. I stopped by earlier today. The service was excellent. The guy behind the counter was very professional and accommodating. I noticed the owner Michael working when I was there. We spoke for a few minutes. He was very cool and still apologetic to this day from the one-time not so great experience last summer. Very impressed. For the last six months, I have noticed a drastic change in service… all for the better. I guess there was a very short time period last year where this location had some not so good employees, but it’s definitely no longer an issue. That seemed to have only lasted a month or two. Definitely my favorite Chronic Taco.

Chronic Tacos never disappoints. It is well worth the price and offers WAY more choices than the usual assembly line Mexican joints. The fish tacos are the freshest I’ve had. And the ultimate plus, the gringo bandito hot sauce displayed at every table. Give them a try! You won’t be disappointed.

Trust me on this viewers, Chronic Tacos NEVER disappoints. It’s the best place to get a good taco in CALIFORNIA! Thats my opinion. I have been a life long fan of their pork carnitas and chicken tacos. Now you might be thinking, ‘What’s a person who’s a lifelong fan of chicken tacos going to tell ME about this place?’ I am going to tell you A LOT. It’s a modern twist on the classic surf shop. When you walk in it has a menu board on the wall above the food stations. Its a better version of chipotle without those crazy lunch hours where if you get there too late-BOOM!- huge line’s in front of you. Chronic never gets rush hours. It’s always steady and fast throughout the day. They get things done quick and easy, with NO delay. They have a large variety of tacos, burritos, bowls, wraps, and beer. If you order a custom taco they ask you lots of questions about what type of tortilla you want what type of meat, etc. so be ready and have the answers because the longer you take, the more hungry you’ll get. Usually they ask you if you want to make it a meal.(This means you get chips and a soda.) I suggest you say yes. Usually what I do with my chips(since I’m not a big salsa person but a big spice lover) is that I dip them in Gringo Bandito hot sauce(on the tables). This might sound gross, but it’s delish! I suggest you give them a try. I went searching for Chronic tacos near me on Unilocal(here) and everyone was dissing the old Chronic Tacos franchise. There was something about closing earlier than they were supposed to and bad food. THISISNOTTHECASEWITHTHISCHRONICTACOS!!! It obviously doesn’t have the same flaws that the old franchise had. Yummy food and a great atmosphere. :)

This review is only for the potatoe tacos because that’s all I get. Really good, authentic potato tacos and service is always friendly. They also have some quality craft beers on tap!

In a time where Chipotle has turned teens and college students into petrie dishes, I prefer to head to a Mexican restaurant that has food at a reasonable cost, great customer service and a killer beer selection. This Chronic has one of the cleanest food lines I’ve seen from the rest of the chain and the freshest looking ingredients. The owner really takes care of his establishment and customers. As I was paying for my food we got to talking and the conversation lead to his beer selection, as I was indecisive in my choice, he allowed me to sample all the taps. Even though this is a small detail, it made me feel that he really takes the time to give his customers the best possible experience. Food portions are healthy in size and the Chronic Fries are my new guilty pleasure. Keep doing what you’re doing Chronic PCH.

Its okay. Im a little sad. I went to chronic tacos by the WF in LB. I have been using chronic,(the taqueria) for at least 7 years. It’s a corporate chain that used to have a cool edge to it. It was borderline inappropriate. Now its Baja Fresh in Stoner garb. I was not happy with my experience today, I wrote some harsh words earlier, then realize I probably shouldn’t trash the owner of this franchise. Chronic does at least try. The portions I received on my last visit, were skimpy compared to what I’ve gotten in past visits. I realize shredded meats are hard to portion, but they are cheap by comparison. If your customer is not happy with the portion then do something about it. I’m still not happy with the brand, but with the owner, who is actually in his taco shop working, I wish no ill will. Good luck with that portioning problem.

12÷01÷2015− I’ve been to a Chronic Tacos before in Mission Viejo, Huntington Beach,& others as well. All the staff greeted me & listened to my stressful day at work. I was going to get my usual which would be taquitos but then, I asked about the potato tacos and I hadn’t had one in 4 years! Got the potato tacos and made it a meal. My first bite made all the memories of my first potato taco come to life! I wish I bought more but next time I will! Definitely my favorite Chronic Tacos! Thank You Chronic for making my afternoon the best I’ve had in awhile!

Food here is awesome. I’ve tried almost everything. All the tacos, all the burritos, even breakfast and California burritos. Chronic fries are also good. Prices are reasonable I guess

The burrito was good, but as other people have stated, the employee had attitude. Pretty rude. I won’t be returning to this one and may have to switch to Chipotle if that’s the standard service for Chronic Taco. The owners should really focus on the reviews. The rude employee seems to be the norm at this place.

Although my husband and I did have an unpleasant experience after eating here, I am updating my review because after being notified by the manager, Michael, I feel that his concern for his restaurant and customers is beyond that of most these days. I appreciate good customer service over all. Thank you Michael, for showing concern and for looking into what may have been the culprit. Previous review written in between visits to the restroom. (I can only give two stars because both the hubby and I have been throwing up and in and out of the restroom since 2 am. Lunch at Chronic Taco was the last thing we ate before getting sick. I’m thinking it was the salsa since he got the carne asada burrito and I got the shrimp burrito. The only thing we both ate was the salsa. Thank God my kids didn’t have any. The food was delicious and the service was very pleasant. I’d like to say that we will eat there again but I don’t ever want to feel like this again.)

Pretty small place but the good here is good. Not quick on the timing, but it is good. If you want shrimp or fish, plan to wait a bit before getting your food. They make it as you order and brought to you freshly fried or grilled. I had the shrimp salad and at first it looked a bit sparse. After all the toppings and sauce, it was a pretty good size salad. Service: nice but not a single smile at all. Oh well.
