After being moved from the first foster family in Palmdale, our children were fostered in Long Beach, through Child Net. Our experience here turned into a nightmare quickly. By law, the parents are entitled to a contact number to call the kids. I was provided a false contact number for the foster home for my children. However, it was reported to the court that we were harassing the foster family? How is that possible? It was also disclosed to us by our visit monitor that the foster parents had been told that we had NOVISITATIONRIGHTS with our children. However, we had been granted full visitation(3 hr visits 3 times a week) by the court from the get-go. Our SW withheld our visitation rights to encourage adoption, even though we have been told our family will be reunified. Because DCFS misinformed the foster family, they were now bound to accommodating maximum visitation. However, my husband and I were penalized, and it was reported to the court that we were causing the foster family trouble. At a visit, our son showed bruising on his face, as if someone grabbed around his mouth with force. The bruise was in the shape of a fingerprint. Even more disturbing, when we brought it to our SW and the agency’s attention, we were told the foster parent«had her own problems» and immediately requested that our kids be removed from her care. Our visits were suspended for 2 weeks, with the reason being that they were being moved to a new foster home. However, we learned that our kids were never moved during this period, yet our visits were still withheld. The court had ordered that visits take place at Long Beach police station. However, our social worker broke court order and had visits here at the agency. We were kept locked in a room for the 3 hour visit and were told we were not allowed to go outside, even when we had been allowed to in the past. The DAY I traveled to Long Beach to file a grievance with the agency, my children had been moved. I had no idea of their location, and had no way to contact them. Neither did the agency at this point. The lies, abuse, pain and suffering our family has had to endure has been unbelievable.
