This place is my go to egg sandwich with a coffee deli. I’m usually greeted by the owner Anna or her son or «Ro». The sandwich is always perfect in the temperature and consistency of the egg perfect amount of crisp bacon and the magic slice of cheese. You might think this is a simple enough thing to make. I have not found any food related establishment in the 3 ½ yrs I’ve worked at my job that can hold a candle to it. Although it’s a Long Beach Landmark, the Laurel’s egg sandwich has nothing over this one. Stop in and try one you will thank me.

Scary experience. Went there on a saturday afternoon after a nice day at the beach. The young heavy girl behind the counter never greeted us, but instead starred at us while heavily chewing gum… I guess that was our cue that it was alright to order? She takes the order… walks away… starts cutting up the ham… proceeds to slam it onto the bread… then takes her pen… and throws it back at the counter(she did apologize for that). Continues to throw the rest of the items on the bread. After I shared that I would like to speak to the manager– she tells me I was on drugs… Very disgusted that a young girl would act this way at her job. Good luck, young lady– you have ALOTTOLEARN. Can I rate the food? No. Never got the chance to eat it. Customer Service– horrific… and frankly afraid! Pens get thrown and food slammed! Will I go back? NEVER. Do I recommend this place? NO.

First to review and I don’t even live in Long Beach. Someone I feel like I’m an honorary Long Beach resident because of how often I couch surf here. C&C is a new guilty pleasure of mine and they offer tasty subs(delicious bread!) and yummy bagel sandwiches for only $ 3! What more can you ask for after a night of fist pumping and shots at the Inn. Oh, wait. I don’t do any of that! Maybe I’m not going to live here after all.
