VIOLATESSTATECREDITCARDSURCHARGES, yet wonderful bartender. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the pleasantries of a great bartender that never let my glass be empty. I’m EXTREMELY disappointed that they post a $ 20 credit card minimum(that’s fine!), but they also add a $ 2 surcharge, which is prohibited by the State of California( ). This needs to be removed as anyone who has been charged the $ 2 can claim three times the amount for damages plus legal fees. Credit card processing a standard part of business and it needs to be included in the budget.

I loved the drinks and the price for the drinks was good. I went on a Friday and they had a live rock band and they were good. There were not a lot of people in there which was strange bc they had good music. I think alot of people don’t know about the place. It was hidden. But it’s was great.

Never knew this place existed. The live band Rewind was jamming out some good tunes and the people were friendly compared to Snug Harbor down the street. It might be good for football games and sporting events; I would visit this place again.

Fun local place, servers, shots girl, bartenders and security friendly and fun!!! They don’t serve food you can bring your own just no drinks, which is understandable

Boomers. Super dive. Ordered Thai food in the same strip mall and had to wait a bit, so we popped in to grab a quick drink. Typical beers on tap. I ordered a vodka soda, got rubbing alcohol instead — uh I mean pure vodka. I didn’t specify what kind of vodka, so my fault. Boy was that drink stiff. I think after I sipped it down I was crossing my eyes. Then the Thai food that was ordered came straight to the bar and I inhaled that. With that being said, they let you eat at the bar. There is a pool table and what looked like to be a stage. It’s quite large. I haven’t decided if i will be back yet. But now I can saw I have been to Le Boomers.

Some friends and I made a quick stop here, on a Wednesday night. It’s way out of our area, but we were on our way home from something else, and decided to stop in for some karaōke. Karaōke was good, LOTS of singers, and long rotation, though. Drink prices were fair. I didn’t care for the décor, location or ambiance, though, and wouldn’t go out of my way to go again.

The place is a little skitchy, but that’s what’s why I like dives. The Friday night cover band is pretty good.

Fun place to go on a Friday and Saturday night. Great bands and decent prices on drinks. The crowd is a mix of older to younger people but they all seem to mesh well and everyone always look to be having a good time.

It’s a dive bar but one of few places where they still have live music. Thats why they earn the 5 stars. Good selection of drink as well. Can’t go wrong at Boomer’s.

I’ve experienced better… I’ve experienced A LOT better. But what if I don’t care for any of that… what if I just want a beer and a place where everybody is relaxed and older(sometimes a lot older)? Boomer’s hits the spot when I’m looking for a Historic Dive(as historic as Lakewood can get I guess). I love how the Bud Light is served in giant plastics cup, no need to worry about broken mugs here! I also love that I can order up a round of Patron for random strangers and it won’t run me any more than a couple of 20s. This is the joint you go too when you’ve had too much glitz and glamor in our life… This is the joint where you don’t have to get your hair did to impress anybody… This is the joint where you go to shoot pool, play darts and listen to some good ol’ juke box music. I enjoy my time here a lot, but I can’t shake off the thought of people looking at me funny… I’m not exactly what you would call a part of the in-crowd… I typically don’t have anything in common w/the other patrons. They probably think I belong at V2O or something… I doubt they even know what V2O is actually… for the record I don’t go to V2O. When I’m here, and I look over to my fellow bar buddies, I get sort of a half smile… half«WTF you looking at?» … hey, that’s good enough for me! Come over here and take a shot w/me buddy!!! :)

My girl and I like this place due to the great live bands. The people r nice and always up for dancing. We frequent 1 – 2 times a month. The drink prices are ok but there is a charge to use credit/atm.

This place is awesome if you like a local bar. The drinks are cheap and will get you effed up! All the bar tenders are nice also. The mix up the music alot. Bands normally play but now they introduced a DJ like once a month or something. The DJ is really good also. I make it a point to go on the first friday of every month. They have a band called the Sin City Playboys and they rock. They mix up the music alot and will play 80’s rock, mix it up with some classic rock and some of todays alternitive. If you get a chance to check this place out you should swing by. You will not be dissapointed.

Nothing really special about this place, as I haven’t been in about 4-or-5 years. Right on Del Amo, so easy to find and plenty of parking. I used to go here when Karaōke Suzie was here; she was cool as hell. Older gal, big poofy red hair styled from the 80s and she’d keep your song slips, so next time you were there, just thumb through your favorites. Other times there was usually a band or something, but nothing really stands out. Oh, yes, one incident: some douche bag decided to cuss me out b/c I mistakenly thought he was a buddy of mine. So, the asshole took it all out of proportion, the bartender told me «finish that beer and leave» and the security-biker-dude(who resembled a bear, rather than a human being) stood behind me then tells me «time to go». Whatever you do, don’t say anything to anyone that could possibly get taken out of context, as you’ll find yourself in the wrong and the douchebag-loser-asshole who escalated the shit doesn’t get tossed. Classic. Oh, congrats Boomer’s…you were decent enough not to grace my Sh*t List, but the Thrill is(definitely) Gone… good luck, losers!
