I have been coming to this wine bar for MANY years. It is fantastic, and the wine list is always changing, so it is always worth coming back for more. The owner, Stephanie, is very knowledgeable on wines and pairings btw!

Ok, time for an update. I’m not dating Stephanie anymore — we’re married now and expecting a little baby somm! Art Du Vin is a second home for so many wonderful people that I can’t imagine our life in Long Beach without it, and all the other fantastic reviews show how many others feel the same. It’s not the fanciest wine bar around — it’s a place where warm, friendly people come together to enjoy the experience of sharing amazing wines and good times without pretense.

Hands down the BEST place in long beach to get wine. The wine choices are always on point, the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable and the environment is cozy and perfect to sip on the Vino.

This place is fantastic! Truly a hidden(literally) gem! I’ve walked along 4th Street dozens of times, but always on the other side of the street, so I never noticed this place. This past Friday, we walked on this side of the street on our way to the Social List for dinner, and lo and behold, we discovered this little place! We were so surprised! Was it recently opened? Where did it come from? It’s tucked into the same building as the theater, and it’s tiny, so it’s easy to miss. Upon discovering this, we decided we had to stop by after dinner to check it out. We walk in around 8pm on a Friday night, and it was just us and the bartender. It’s a small place, and it’s nice and dark, gives it a nice, classic feel. We both tried a delicious dessert wine, a vinsanto, which I enjoyed very much. What I enjoyed even more was just how friendly our bartender was. He was so knowledgeable about wines and such a great conversationalist. I had a great time just listening to, learning from, and chatting with him. We were lucky there was no one else in the wine bar! I’m definitely going to be back. This is a little neighborhood gem, and I’m excited to try out and learn about all the other wines this place has to offer!

Wonderful, friendly atmosphere! I came with friends and we enjoyed the patio on a warm spring evening! The Poseidon Pinot paired with the home made wheat honey bread, salami and Brie makes a tasty pairing! I can’t wait to visit again — hopefully soon!

It is an adorable little place that offers great deals. They bake everything there and the place smells wonderful. If you love a good glass of wine, this is the place to go. Parking is hard on the street, so your best bet is to pick a lot and pay. You’ll probably catch me on Wednesday for $ 4 house wines(All to die for)

This place is great. The bartenders are super friendly and welcoming. When I first came here from San Diego, they really made me feel welcome and introduced me to a lot of people. The wine selection is fantastic. It’s a little small, but it adds to the charm. My only complaint is that it can be a bit pricey, maybe that’s also a part of the allure for some people.

This place is so cute. So is the owner Stephanie. I am not a wino and don’t know a lick about wines but she made me feel at home at her wine bar :) On Tuesdays, it’s 20% off bottles so my girlfriends and I shared one :) we shared a Chardonnay and it was delicious. I was also here a bit earlier than my friends and Stephanie was kind enough to include me in some wine tasting with the wine rep! Thank you! We also got a small plate with some salami, two cheeses, honey and the best homemade bread ever! I think I ate most of it haha. Anyways, this place is lovely, the service is awesome, parking is plentiful(2hr street and $ 0.50/hr lot), and you can tell that there are a lot of regulars that genuinely love this place and come by all the time! I like that! I will definitely be back and have already recommended this place to all my friends :)

I absolutely LOVE this place. I came in this past weekend and told the owner that I normally drank red wines and knew nothing about white wines. Her response? She gave me and my girlfriend one of the best wine tasting experiences/classes of our lives. She showed us several white wines from all over the globe and we walked away having had a lot of fun and a greater knowledge of white wine. Beyond our impromptu class, this place has a friendly and knowledgeable staff, a great crowd, and of course a deep selection of very good wine. I highly recommend Art Du Vin!

Art Du Vin is a great place. It’s small so no matter how few people are there, it feels good. The staff is very friendly, professional and quite humble considering most wine people are not. The wine selection is great. Good high end wines for special times, but very good house wines that make it affordable to be a regular. The bread/cheese/salami dishes are very affordable. The people that go here are very friendly and it’s easy to just shoot the breeze. I’m a local, and I’m so grateful this place is here. Oh and they have card games, I was impressed by how people play silly games, engage with one another. Just a great place.

Great wines and swell staff, it’s the best place in Long Beach to inadvertently play musical chairs.

My friends and I were doing a little wine bar crawl and ended the night Art Du Vin Wine Bar. This adorable little wine bar is attached to the Art Theater. They have very knowledgeable friendly staff there and some nice wines to chose from. We had a couple of glasses and the guy even made us a lovely cheese/meat plate too. This place is super small, but they have some patio seats too. Cool for a little night cap with one or two other people tops because the space is so quaint. Its a cool little spot to chill and talk and drink wine of course. Cheers! xo

Awesome place for wine-o’s! Stephanie is super sweet, if you don’t know what you want get a little tasting, she knows her stuff. Got a little meat and sausage plate, had Stephanie choose which was best for the wine I had and she nailed it! Small space but an adorable spot, highly recommend it!

This tiny little gem is always our first choice for Fancy Friday. Art Du Vin’s wine selection is on point and super reasonable. Their small, but attentive staff go out of their way to ensure you find the perfect glass or bottle to meet your tastes. This place is always spinning an eclectic mix of vinyls to create the perfect atmosphere for catching up with old friends, or meeting new ones. Their cheese boards are well thought out with locally sourced cheeses and honey. What I love about this place is that they go that extra mile to create a lasting impression. This shines through with their housemade breads which pair perfectly with the cheeses and wine. With a small space(I think I counted roughly thirty seats inside and on the patio), they create a warm, welcoming vibe each and every time.

Having just moved to the neighborhood(Summer 2014), I was thrilled to discover this little gem just a couple of blocks from my home. From the vinyl music and local art displayed on the brick wall, to the quaint patio where you can chill after work, savoring weekly specials(last night’s 4.00 red was outstanding!), this place is perfect. The simplicity of this space lends itself to the charm of its owner, Stephanie. This gal is the real deal(she knows her wine, people), and even more so, wears her positive, exuberant, and accommodating energy on her sleeve. Not only is the selection of wine superb, but I dare you to order the sample variety cheese plate and not make *that sound* with your mouth. «Mmmmmmm!» We arrived at 7:00 pm and by 9:30, phone numbers between new friends were exchanged and good-night hugs, shared. Come alone or bring your fellow wino friends; either way, you’ll be leaving with a smile and story. Art Du Vin honestly feels like — in a word — home. @thatgalkiki

Art Du Vin is a trendy wine bar in Downtown Long Beach, right next to the art theatre. The bar itself is pretty small, but they make very good use of the space. Inside, they about 5 bar seats, and there are several other seats with high tables out on the patio. After sitting in both locations throughout the night, I would definitely recommend the patio if the weather is nice. It much easier to converse with your friends since your aren’t sitting in a row, and the chairs are VERY comfortable. I loved the style of this bar! Brick walls, chalkboard menu, stacked bottles, and a shelf of vinyl records. Listening to these records provided such a great mood for drinking wine with friends. The service at Art Du Vin was one of the best I have ever experienced. We were served by a young woman who was running the whole shop and provided such personalized service. My friends and I weren’t quite sure what we wanted, so she gave us three wine samples to help us choose. She also told us that it was a better deal to split a bottle, which we realized was true! She was very accommodating in helping us split the bill 3 ways, which I know can be annoying for servers, but she didn’t seem to mind. The great service definitely helped us have a great experience! For such a small bar, Art Du Vin has a pretty large wine selection. After sampling three of the wines, my friends and I decided on a wine called«3 Rings», which is one that we all really liked. I didn’t notice beer when I first looked at the menu, but later in the night I saw someone with a beer, but obviously it’s mostly wine at this place! It’s really nice because if you don’t finish your bottle, you can take it home, which is what we did. This is such a nice place bar in Downtown LB, and I’d love to come back!
