What a nice little shop! I found this place on my recent excursion to London the other day. It’s one of the bright spots on London’s Main St. If you lived in London(and really, any other small town years ago), you would remember when going uptown/downtown was the place to go to the movies, do some shopping, have dinner, do your banking etc. Temple’s Bakery anyone? Now? There are still some things downtown but not so much since most businesses are now chains and located along Lafayette St. Like I said before I digressed into nostalgia, this is a bright spot. A cute, upscale, little shop that has a welcoming exterior. It has a nicely decorated, attractive window to bring you in. Open the door and you will be greeted with the fragrance of whatever candle they have burning. This time, it was a caramel apple I believe. So inviting on a fall day. The owner was very welcoming too. Just enough friendliness to make you feel welcome, but not so much that you feel hovered over. The store is long, somewhat narrow and filled to the brim with gifty items. Lots of seasonal stuff in the front, some food items and candles next. Then you get to the greeting cards and ladies accessories(scarves, earrings, handbags, etc). Explore further back and you get to the home décor section and a generous amount of clearance /out of season stuff. Prices? Very fair. It’s a gift shop but the prices are very competitive. It’s a great place to pick up something a little different. If this were in Columbus, you’d find it in Worthington, Westerville or German Village. I think it’s a great alternative to the blandness of America’s typical shopping experiences these days.
