Jael & Jabez Salon and Spa

This salon is the best full service salon in Lompoc! The prices are reasonable and the staff are all helpful and there to greet you with a warm welcome. They are very lenient with appointments and I love that there is no wait for your service. If your appointment is at 10am, they are ready to go at 10am. The massage service is amazing! Nancy is very professional and the massage and facial rooms are relaxing.

I happened to be home from work early and decided that today was the day I was going to cut my hair short. I Unilocaled hair salons that were open on Monday. Their salon came up. I booked my appointment online and then received a phone call from the stylist letting me know that she wasn’t working that day and apologized that her appointments hadn’t been blocked out for that day. She went on to make me another appointment with another stylist. Long story short that stylist wasn’t available either. The owner of the salon called me and got me an appointment with Angelica. These ladies went above and beyond to get me in that day. Angelica cut 11 inches off of my hair and gave me a very cute bob. I was very pleased with my hair and the service I received. I liked it so much I had my son go over there today for a haircut with Angelica. She did a get job. My son’s hair looks great. He is all ready to his picture taken tomorrow.

My story is a comedy of errors, although not funny at all. My first bad experience. After a lot of thought I decided to get my hair professionally colored to incorporate my graying hair. Never having my hair colored at a solon, I was excited to see the outcome. So sad it was not what I wanted at all. My hair was damaged as well.
Because I was very nervous to walk into a salon after that, I waited a while to get my hair cut. I thought I made a safe choice and went to a one chair solon, thinking I would get a one on one attention. Wrong, that was the worst hair cut I have ever had. Could my luck get any worse? I wore a hat every time I left the house for a month. I am not kidding! That was 3 months ago. Needing a trim and correction badly, I was at it again. This time I did my home work. I read Unilocal reviews very carefully. I kept returning to Jael & Jabez. In particular Pennie. I thought she sounded to good to be true. But I thought I would take a chance. That was the best choice I made for myself. She is magical!!! She is my Angel. I could not ask for a more caring professional. She knows and loves her craft. We are on our way to repairing everything. I am so very happy to have found her. I will surely be back to see Pennie again. Thank you Pennie!!!

Pennie is amazing! Hands down one of– if not the best stylist I have ever had! She is sooo knowledgable, and is so willing to share it with you! She is a perfectionist, but I love it! She actually listens to your vision and makes it come to life. Considering you spend hours with your hair stylist in my case, it’s great to have such a friendly, sweet person to talk with. I will never go anywhere else to get my hair done! Not only is Pennie amazing, the whole staff at the salon are friendly and sweet. I get greeted and offered a drink as soon as I walk through the door. The open environment makes it so you may end up having a conversation with another stylist and client, and everyone is more than willing to talk to you. I love this place!!!

I am very satisfied what Nikki Ramirez did to my hair. It came out the way I wanted. Definitely going back for more services from Nikki.

I reserved over the weekend via Unilocal for a Monday 5pm appointment with Alex. I needed my hair to be trimmed and thinned out. I just arrived in the area a couple of weeks ago and I decided on this salon after reading the Unilocal reviews previously posted. Summary: I totally recommend this salon and booking Alex, or anyone else, because everyone was a professional and the prices are reasonable.
I arrived a little earlier than 5pm, but I was politely greeted within seconds of walking through the door. I was led to a waiting area, where I was offered water and told I could read magazines while they went to get Alex. My first impression of the salon upon walking in was, «Wow!» Everything looked clean, well-​decorated and coordinated, and everyone working was busy with someone or something. I felt comfortable from the get go. Throughout my whole time here for the appointment, I also watched the other hair stylists work and interact with each other and their customers. Everyone had a great attitude and were professionals.
Alex listened very well to what I wanted (long enough hair to put into a bun for work), but she also communicated what she thought would be best for my hair. She worked with me from wash to style. She wasn’t rough with my hair when washing it. She talked about what she would do with each step of the cutting process, which was good because to some degree, I always want to know what’s going to happen to my hair when I’m getting it cut. She paid a lot of attention to detail and asked very good questions that lead to the end result of me feeling unexpectedly pretty!

I just moved to lompoc and decided to give this salon a try. They were super friendly and professional. Alex cut my hair, she took her time and made sure I loved my haircut. I would definitely recommend you go see Alex if you need hair help.

I don’t think I will return– not sure yet. I have read many of the pleasant reviews for the hairstyling part of the salon– but waxing? Nope, nope, nope… especially if it involves your lady parts. So, I’ve had Brazilian waxes before– many times. Even at my hairiest (I blush as I say this), I’ve never had a wax job be SO painful! The lady who performed the wax job asked me if I preferred soft or hard wax, and I let her know that I preferred the hard wax (from my previous experiences with the different types of wax). She said, «Well, I like soft wax better and so I’ll use that instead.» Then why did you ask me for a preference if you weren’t going to acknowledge it in the first place?!? So, as she started stripping away the hairs with the soft wax, I started to flinch. She noticed this and asked me if I had kids. I told her I had two of them; she then proceeded to tell me that having this wax job is nothing like having kids and going through labor, and that I was fine. Seriously, my lady parts are sensitive, but I know some of the pain is to be expected– I know this because I’ve had this done to me many times! How dare you tell me in your indirect way to suck it up! That waxing was excruciating and my labia felt raw and violated after all that! The least one could do while putting someone through that for an hour is speak a little more therapeutically.
Nope, never again… at least, not for waxing.
While I was rather displeased with the wax service part, the salon looked very clean, well-​kept, and sanitary– hence, the three stars. I may consider getting my hair done there based on the positive reviews for their hairstyling. If so, I hope my experience will be a little more positive the next time around– that is, if ever.

Before i found out about Jael and Jabez Salon, my hair was a disaster. But thanks to ALEX, my hair looks so beautiful and healthy now

This is the best full service salon in town. Kaitlyn and Pennie works miracles on hair, Danae can paint just about anything on your nails, and the rest of the staff are accommodating and super friendly.
I recently booked a massage with Nancy and it was as good if not better than any massage I’ve received at fancy resort spa’s. The environment was very relaxing and met all my expectations.

This place rocks! I wish I had known about them sooner!!! I called they fit me in real quick. I had a under arm wax. Took less then 10 mins. I was in and out. The lady was wicked sweet and easy to talk to. It didn’t hurt either. I will for sure be back! Check this place out!

After receiving a funky-​shaped shave from a very another stylist, I discovered Jael & Jabez. Katelyn LISTENED to what I wanted, empathized with my previous experience and helped me fix up what was a bit of a strange shape, and turned it into something smooth and rounded. Awesome place, Thank you! I will be back!

Finally someone that can cut curly hair! I had an awesome experience today with Pennie. She took her time, educated me and gave me an awesome haircut. I will definitely be seeing her again!

I had the best spa treatment ever at Jael and Jabez! Total five star service! I came in this weekend to take advantage of their insanely awesome May spa deal which was a 60 minute Swedish massage and 60 minute facial for an unheard of $ 100! As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted and handed an information/​registration form, which I filled in with all the pertinent information for my services. They were completely ready for me and I didn’t have to wait at all besides filling out my form.
I had actually had just had a spa treatment at the beginning of the month out of town, which was a massage, facial and pedicure, and this by far was way better. Not only was the price a steal the service was amazing!
I started with a massage, in a very clean and relaxing room. It was soothing as soon as I walked in, they had a very nice and calming water feature and neutral colors on the walls. There was also ample space and didn’t feel crowded or confined. And the serene music playing the background was spot on. Additionally, it had a very stylish mini chandelier above the massage table that added an extra touch of whimsy to the room.
Nancy was my masseuse and she did an incredible job at relaxing my entire body, I thought the pressure was great for what I needed. Honestly, some of the techniques she used were new to me and felt like total magic! Nancy definitely has healer hands as I felt completely at peace and felt all my stress dissipate. I am a total fan now and will be coming back! I will also definitely have to go in for a deep tissue! Seriously one of the best, if not the best, massages I have ever had.
Brenda came in a bit before the end of my massage to set up for my facial. They both made sure to not interrupt my service and cause a distraction. I almost didn’t notice that Brenda was setting up except for the bit of additional light in the room, but even then it was very minimal. Then as Nancy was leaving she introduced me to Brenda, and did an awesome handover so as to not pull me from my state of relaxation. I honestly don’t think I opened my eyes at all through the services because I was just so at peace and relaxed!
Brenda did an incredible job with my facial. I have had facials before but not as soothing and relaxing as this one. Not only was the facial incredibly soothing but I feel that the pace was perfect. It didn’t feel rushed or too slow. Brenda did a great job at explaining what she was doing so as not to startle me. Not only that when Brenda put my mask on, and was waiting for the enzymes to activate she continued my massage experience with a neck and head massage! The best! Also when Brenda did the extractions it was not painful at all as I have had with other estheticians.
I am not overselling it! Not only do I still feel amazing! But my skin looks incredible! They were both very welcoming, warm and professional. I highly recommend Jael and Jabez! No more going out of town for a full spa service! I am definitely coming back!

First time here and I really enjoyed the experience. I don’t often get my hair cut professionally done often so I liked that the rare times I do get my hair cut it was at a super friendly place. Kaitlyn fix my botched up fringe, gave me lovely layers, and friendly. I will come back here the next time I need a hair cut or a fringe.

I love this place! Carolina cuts my hair and she’s amazing! Always gets exactly what I what and takes her time to make sure I love it :)

I’ve been going to Carolina for years now! She is awesome! She really listens to what you want and it’s always on point with everything from color to cuts to eyebrows! Love the new salon it’s clean and modern. Also heard Nancy’s massages are the best so I definitely got to book with her! Check it out it’s definitely a gem especially for the city.

Today I went to Jael & Jabez and had my hair cut by Pennie. The Salon is very nice, employees were friendly. I was greeted and asked if I would like coffee, tea, or water. Any employee that passed by where I was sitting greeted me and asked how I was doing. Now as for Pennie. She is AWESOME! I asked her what kind of cut would work for me. She made some suggestions and I agreed with her. I love my haircut. She did a great job and was very personable. I will definitely go back!
