Horrible service, waited 45 minutes to order, so I left. I suggest going somewhere else for Mexican food in Lompoc.

Just a little confused, before I ordered dinner they served chips and salsa. We then ordered and asked for more chips because we were out due to the small chip basket. When the waiter responded I was shocked when she said we will have to charge you. I asked if she was joking and she said no. I eat at alot of Mexican resraunts in my travels and I will have to say I have never encounterd this dillema. Need less to say if you to broke to serve chips… go out of business because I won’t be back nor will any other decent paying customer.

We have eaten at this Burrito Loco a few times & it is so inconsistent. The cooks make your food however they feel at the time & the cashiers charge whatever they feel like, it’s ridiculous! This last time I just wanted a chicken burrito for pick up, I told them what I wanted on it & when went to pick up it was $ 10! The girl working(who was not friendly at all) said its .65 extra for cilantro, onions, salsa, etc. When all of this is normal on a burrito in the first place. It was ok, but definitely not worth $ 10. We are done going to this location & do not recommend it at all!

The tables were all filled by couples when we arrived needing a table for 4 and an infant. Only 2 tables for 2 were available and nobody made any moving motions as our group stood there surveying the place. So we were or end to order from their limited take out menu. After placing our orders but before the food arrived, tables became available so we sat down. The dine in menu has quite a bit more to offer. This review is based on the take-out order which was placed. My carnita taco plate was fairly tasteless. The veggie burrito was dry per hubby and the others had previous eaten there so were acquainted with the food. Hubby liked the salsa but to me it was just OK.

Came in for a breakfast burrito. Ordered the breakfast burrito special. It should of been called a bean and cheese burrito. It was full of beans and a spot of egg and and frozen hash browns. There is another Mexican place that does it right down the street. Also, they false advertise the breakfast burrito. Look at uploaded pics of what they show is the breakfast burrito and the pic of what I actually got.

The salsa is amazing! HOWEVER service is not nor is the food. We will be stopping in for salsa and leaving from here on out again. We came here for years but food and service have both declined so much. We decided togive itanother spot.. bad idea. They wanted to charge us 1.99 for an extra basket of chips and salsa. Really? Bottom line.. bad service, bad food, bad business but great salsa.

I didn’t get to eat here. I called and asked if they had soup. Yes, alboganas. «What kind of meat is in that?» «I believe it’s beef.» Could you double check? Is it my own fault, I do not know the recipe? I have no idea what kind of soup that is but it’s crucial I do not eat pork. So, for the lady to not know for sure just turned me off. I left.

I really like this place. It’s a tiny little spot and the food is decently priced and tasty. Their salsa is definitely one of my favorites around. It’s usually not busy when I go but the service is good and food doesn’t take too long. It’s definitely not the best Mexican food in town but if you need options I do recommend this place.

This food is really delicious! Chips and salsa, on their own, are reeeally good. Burritos are amazing! I love the tortilla they use! Nice and thin, and flavors everything well.

This place is delish. Service was good. I recommend. They use nacho cheese for their nachos. Most Mexican places use actual cheese! I think the prices were fair but I like the salsa the most! It’s one of the best Mexican restaurants in Lompoc!

The free chips & salsa are OK. The biggest issue I found with this place was the price. $ 8.63 for a grilled chicken burrito. Yup! That’s right. I realize now that the chips and salsa must be rolled into the price im guessing. The taste was not spectacular or memorable and I can’t say I could justify coming back for more unless I was Loco. Maybe that’s how this place got its name… Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Good luck.

This place is a joke. If you live in Lompoc then you know there are great places for mexican food. Burrito Loco however, is not one of them, although they are the only mexican place that delivers. So, it works out ordering from them from time to time. I had quite the unpleasant experience with them during my last order, which will be my final order ever! I ordered several items, an entrée, a burrito, several ala carte items and an order of chips and salsa the one pound option. Grand total a bit under $ 40. Happy to pay cause I’m hungry. After all the food I had ordered I politely ask if they can give me some extra salsa, because who doesn’t use a lot of salsa? I mean Taco Bell for goodness sake will give you as many salsa packets your heart desires. Which, they then replied that I can only have two salsas, now everyone knows the size of the little dixie cups restaurants use for salsa right, well, that clearly wouldn’t be enough for the amount of food I ordered, and not nearly enough for my liking. So what it boiled down to is they refused to give me anymore salsa then two, which is just ridiculous seeing that anyone could easily use those two on a burrito alone. Frustrated and disappointed I, without hesitation, cancelled my order and asked for a refund. With so many Mexican restaurants in Lompoc that offer an unlimited salsa bar, or happily supply good customers when you ask for more of a good thing, it baffles me that a place like this, where the food isn’t nearly as good, wouldn’t try to make customers a bit happier. They have undoubtedly lost myself as a customer and will tell everyone and anyone I come across to steer clear, starting with this review. Burrito Loco try taking care of your customers, a bit of customer service goes along way, especially to the folks that help you keep your lights on. If you did, maybe you wouldn’t have to nickel and dime them for stuff your competitors are giving out for free.

Since when does this place charge $ 1.99 for a basket of chips? Been coming here for years… never once paid for extra chips. No other places in Lompoc charge for chips… how do they deem this as competitive? Never going back. The server handed me my check, I put the cash on the table, then she came back and told me she needed my check back because she forgot to charge me for the chips. WHAT? You make a mistake and tell me to give you back the check??? No way. I told her to take the $ 2 tip I was leaving and put it towards their coveted chips. Going other places.

I love burrito Loco! We go almost every week. The shredded beef enchiladas with green sauce are to die for! Always good service and kind people. They’ve gotten our order wrong only once in the long while i’ve been going there and it was quickly corrected.

Food takes a while to cook but they cook it fresh. Burritos are huge and stuffed with fresh meats and veggies. The salsa here is best around!

Great food. Taco Tuesday all you can eat tacos for eight dollars. Wednesdays are fajitas nights which are pre made but are still good. Salsa is some of the best around. Only thing I don’t like is the service, it sucks! Wait 20 minutes for drinks, and forty five minutes for food. Love the food, hate the service.

The salsa was great but my carnitas was waaaay too salty and fatty. I really couldn’t eat much of it. But my friend’s food was great. The service was okay, a little slow.

I have never sat down for a meal here to be honest. I only ever go in to purchase their DELICIOUS(award-winning) salsa and a bag of chips. It is cheap and comes in a huge 12oz container. Perfect for taking to parties or to work. I love it, and my husband does too. The restaurant atmosphere isn’t the best though, which is why I would never dine-in. It kind of smells sweaty. The girl taking order was sweet and helpful though. I appreciated her patience and capability to handle me with her takeout phone always ringing! Poor thing…

Tried to eat at Floriano’s for lunch today, but the line was out the door. Still felt like Mexican, so we decided to try this place on the way out of town. Ordered 2 beef chimichangas and chips/salsa to go. Took less than 10 minutes and it was ready for pickup. Did some shopping at nearby Albertsons to make good use of the wait time. Opened up the styrofoam container once I got home and was pleasantly surprised to find a golden brown, perfectly fried chimichanga(see pic). Instead of drowning it with sauces, they let the chimi speak for itself, with side accoutrements waiting to be selected to create the perfect balance. The shredded meat inside was juicy and had great flavor infused into the meat. I opted for the hotter salsa and was pleased with the amount of heat. They did not hold back. Also purchased chips and salsa, but the house salsa was a little too salty for my taste. Overall, a good chimichanga but nothing really extravagant. I would buy it again, but wouldn’t go out of my way for it. Pretty basic mexican food here, based on what I have tried. Service was quick and friendly. Limited seating.
