I have been coming here for years and I still love going. The service is good and the food is delicious as well. The hush puppies are my favorite and surprisingly enough, the chicken here is great! I actually don’t like fish so I always get the chicken when I come here with others, so I can’t comment on that!

Fried food that didn’t make me feel regretful afterwards, it was perfectly battered and crispy. 2 piece fish and chips combo was perfect.

Every time I visit my home town I have to visit this place and I’m not a seafood eater. Haha. One of the oldest restaurants in town.

Excellent fish and chips. Light and flaky fish in an excellent batter that wasn’t overly greasy. 2 pieces of fish were sizable and satisfying. And the hush puppies are the best I have had. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try the coleslaw because they didn’t include utensils in my take out: make sure you ask for napkins and utensils.

The best fish & chips with hush puppies I think I’ve ever had. Everything was excellent even the coleslaw. I will definitely be back when I’m in town.

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner. Our fish and chips were served piping hot and very fresh! The portions were huge and enough for lunch for both of us the next day. We will be back!

Just go here… you wont be disappointed. A bit pricey but I’m willing to pay it for good food and awsome service.

We used to go to Alfie’s every Friday night with my family. AMAZINGFOOD and great quality. From the hushpuppies, to the fish and chips, and the customer service — always a great experience when going.

I heard this place was the best in all of the Pacific Central Coast. Being new to the area, of course I had to see for myself! I’ve tried: fish and chips, clam chowder, hushpuppies, fried shrimp, and fried veggies. Everything has tasted very good. I even brought my family from back home when they came to visit and they really enjoyed the meal. Love how even though everything I’ve eaten here is mostly all fried, I don’t feel too bad about it. The oil they use is fresh and all the food have a clean, crisp, fry taste to them. Good, quick, polite service.

OMG!!! some darn good food. I’d suggest the family dish with the variety. Shrimp, chicken and fish. now that’s a combo for $ 40, 8t fed my family of 4 perfectly.

The food was just OK. the fish was good, the shrimp was blah. Two combo plates, a kids meal, and two beers cost $ 40. Cute restaurant, nice friendly service, The pizza garden is across the street.

This place used to be my absolute favorite. I don’t know if it changed management or what, but I’ve been really disappointed as of late. The normal fish and chips order is good, along with the cole-slaw(which has a nice sweetness to it); but as I surveyed the fryer-area, I noticed a large amount of grease caked onto the vents, and what looked like mold on it! Ick. Maybe they’ve fixed it since the last time I’ve been there(few months ago), but that’s rather offputting.

Really good food I always get the calm strips and veggie mix yum! Only thing you get a lot of batter crumbs along with your food but it’s still good!

Alfies is great. I had the fish and chips and the fish actually tasted fresh. It was Alaskan cod and was flaky and the breeding was light and crispy just like it should be. The hush puppies where also very good. Great tunes in the background too. Only thing that could improve is more outside seating.

After driving around for 20 mins trying to decide where to eat, accidently stumbled upon this place. Was hesitant to try at first, but why not. Thankfully we did, the fish and chips combo was hot, crispy and fresh! It came with hush puppies and coleslaw as sides. Both items were delicious. Also, tried the fried clams, very good but serving size was a bit small. Not a fancy place, but not a hole in the wall either. Order at counter and pick up your own order when its ready.

Great spot to stop for friendly service(IMO). Anyway, the fish and chips here were great. Get the lunch special. I wished that they had been more salty but the serving size is good and they’ll let you substitute items in your meal(double fries, or double hush puppies etc). Quaint and quick.

Where we go to get our fish fix in town. You cant go wrong with the complete combos as it includes coleslaw and hushpuppies. Fish is delicious, cooked perfectly and the fries are double fried so the insides are light and fluffy and the outsides crispy and golden. I pour the malt vinegar on EVERYTHING! The clam chowder is very tasty as well. Minus a star because I feel this place is a bit pricey for what you get.

The Man wanted to try this tonight and I didn’t have the heart to say no. I’m really glad I didn’t. This is the closest to English Fish and Chips we’ve had since leaving the UK! Only thing missing is the newsprint to wrap the fish and chips in. For all nay Sayers I’m not sure what they expect a 5 star dining experience from a chippy shop? If so they are seriously misguided. If you are looking for a taste a British chippy shop fish & chips look no further. They use steak fries that’s a plus too many U.S. places use those shoestring things blech! Not authentic. Steak fries are the real deal. Second they have cod! Real deal again as once again U.S. Places use other types and it’s never the same. The batter was light, the fish was flaky and not fishy tasting! I detest a fishy tasting fish I actually won’t eat it if it tastes like a fish market smells. Third it’s a chippy shop AKA fast food. The cashier was nice, smiling, quick to take our order. The cook checked to make sure everything was ok after we got our order. The foods as ready quickly and Hot! The coleslaw was crisp not soggy. Fried food is fried but no pooling of grease here no soggy mess on the food from improper fry technique. The interior was was decorated with all types of British Eye Candy. They had books on sale by local authors. A great place to support local.
