This place has a big selection of different nail polishes along with everything else you might need in that department. I just recently went there & bought Orly gel polish that was on sale. Buy one get 2nd one 50% off. They also had OPI gel color on sale too. But decided to go with Orly because it had 2 steps vs. OPI’s three steps.
The customer service is poor! They are so rude, they keep following you around the store & when I actually had a question about the nail polish, she seemed to be busy & not responsive. I don’t recall the cashier’s name but she had super long hair & wasn’t very nice. It took her a long time to ring me up & overall, wasn’t pleased. You have to know exactly what you need before going to this store so you wouldn’t have to ask any questions & just pay & leave.

This is a review for Sallys on PCH in Torrance:
I don’t really have a good impression on Sally’s customer service in general. They usually treat me like a little kid who doesn’t know anything or know how to do her own research beforehand. However, Jeannie helped me when I went in yesterday. I was trying to change my hair pastel and she gave me helpful advice. She was friendly, courteous, and very informative. I’ll definitely be going to this location from now on (I don’t care if that Lakewood location is near my work)

i usually really enjoy coming here… i color my hair often so this is the place i go.
usually the customer service is amazing but now i felt compelled to write a review because the past couple times i have been there that has changed.
there are two girls i used to always go in to see… so helpful! the answer ALL my questions and really go above and beyond to make sure i know what it is i need and what it is i need to do.
the last time i went there, just last friday… the sevice was terrible. Not only did the girl not help me, she laughed at me when i was asking her questions and was quite rude about it. the time before that i went to ask the girl about two different bleaches but all she did was read the package and tell me that… not helpful at all, i could have read that myself.
So please bring back the other two gals because i miss them!

Girls are courteous and knowledgable about the products they sell. I usually only buy hair brushes here as I am not in the biz and they do not carry OPI nail products. They would a larger volume of sales if they carried OPI. wonder why they don’t?

Love their sales on nail polish! I’m a nail polish fiend, and they often have sales on China Glaze and OPI for decent prices (2 for $ 11). Their selection is one of the better ones I’ve found at a beauty supply in the South Bay too.

Sally Beauty supply makes me feel like a teenager again. This is because the staff follows you around like your about to steal something. They accusingly ask «CAN I HELP YOU?!!» I answer, «No, I’m fine»…and yet they still follow, they still pop out of corners and stare at you. No seriously staff… I just want to look around… sure, I have a small bottle in my hand, but I’m not about to put it in my pocket… I just want to look at your 200 different kinds of hairspray.
So, yeah, I wouldn’t come here to just «look around» because it’s irritating. I will come for what I want and leave.
They have a membership card, but it’s 5 dollars. I’m not into paying for discounts, thank you.

So I must say that they do have good customer service. There is always someone willing to help you find something or suggest something that you might want. I was there the other day and a cashier came from the back even though there was only one person in front of me. This store has so much of everything beauty wise that it can be a little overwhelming but it is fun to go and just look around. I do wish that they carried O.P.I. nail polish though.
