Closed. Sign on the door from the health department regarding their lack of a license. They were so far right anti government, I can only imagine what happened.

I’m glad this place is closed. That old bitter bag that took your order made walking into this place a miserable experience. Food couldn’t make up for the horrible service.

I’ve been eating here for over ten years. I’ve eaten at most of the local places also. For what you pay and what you get this place is a excellent value. Remember it’s a chain. If you want really authentic drive your lazy suburban butt over to 26th street in the city. The people are nice. The place is clean and the prices are fair. You get good quality for the price and it’s tasty too.

This was probably the worst taco place I’ve been to in 20 years! The floors were dirty and the worker walking around in slow motion wiping the chairs the tables the counters all with the same rag. disgusting! The al pastor tacos were truly the worst example of El pastor I’ve ever had a disgrace. I really think the health department should really check up on this place. If you want good Mexican food go to Los burritos tapatios in Lombard their food is a hundred times better than el famous burritos would never step foot in this dump again!

I wanna like this place but really cant. Came here to order a burrito & tacos but food is horrible. I thought id try this place cos its closer(I normally go to burrito tapatios) to home… I am not even mexican but i could have made better tacos. My burrito was soggy & had too much beans… If i wanted a bean burrito i would have said so… Reason for 3 stars, the cook behind the counter helped the lady with a baby carry her stuff out to the car. But other than that, i am not coming back. I just wasted my money! Now my gf will get mad at me for not eating the rest of my food!

What happened to this place? New owners? All new staff? What’s going on?! This place use to be good. No it never was a 5 star meal, but it was good. Nobody behind the counter seems to have a damn clue what is going on now. The refried beans are nasty. Watered down slop is what it should now be called. Ordered chips and cheese with our tacos as we always do. In the past they lacked enough cheese but were just cheesy enough not to really care. Now? Its even worse. There was barely a fricken tablespoon of cheese. It was laughable, except I didn’t laugh. We ate here twice this week and both times let us down. Done with this place. Good bye el-crapo burrito. There’s too many other good Mexican restaurants around. You lose.

This place has here here for a while so I thought it would provide some authentic Mexican food. Once again a taqueria that uses cheap ingredients where the bean and rice obviously are processed and taste like it came from a can. The Enchiladas were so small and not tasty at all and this lunch made me feeling hungry as soon as I left it to go on busy Roosevelt Road. Pass on this place as there are way better places in the surrounding area.

I have to say… do not one here is your hungry. People were very rude and the food was gross. The steak burrito tasted old and like nothing at all… just mush. Then the green sauce tastes bad. The chips were good… but the red salsa tasted like nothing, I might as well asked for tomatoes to eat with my chips…

The burrito was good, but I made the mistake of eating it all at once. Nothing amazing, but good. It is huge and could last for four meals. I’m still looking for a favorite Mexican restaurant.

Today a few of my Co workers and I thought we would order lunch from here. From the second we started our order it was a disaster. The person who picked up the phone had no listening skills. He was rude, disrespectful and just plain nasty. From the beginning of the call, my co worker was specific about there being four separate orders. When she placed the first order she asked him if we needed the first person to pay for that order. He said no and proceeded to take the next order. When the order was finished, my co worker asked the man to repeat the order. He told her no. Then he gave her the total. When she revisited the fact that we had to pay with different cards he said we didn’t tell him that and that he had to re do the entire order. By this time we were on the phone for 10 minutes. Another co worker took the phone and he was rude to her as well. We finally got fed up with the person taking the order and we asked to speak to a manager. He said he was the owner, and then told us to call back when we had someone who spoke«English». It wasn’t our English that was the problem; it was his level of comprehension and listening skills. I don’t understand how any business can operate with such disrespectful customer service. I hope that the person who we spoke to wasn’t the owner because if it was— he is not going to make it that far in this business. I can’t review the food because I never got the chance to taste it but I can guarantee you this, I will never give a place like that my business. We ended up eating at Burrito Parrilla Mexicana on Highland and we were highly satisfied. They had great customer service and even better food. They appreciate their customers.

Rating: 3.3 Short description: Solid burrito place Pluses: Decent burritos, good prices, they really know how to use Steak & Pork and chorizo, they do take credit over $ 6. I really like their ‘red’(hot) sauce as well. Negatives: A bit greasy(as you would expect), sometimes the wait for ordering is a bit when they get busy, and I have friends who have trouble with mexican food in general try sometimes who have some difficulty. Recommendations: Highly recommend the combo Steak/Pork Burrito with sour Cream and hot sauce! If you like a good, greasy mexican place, this is a solid place. If you need it healthy and not spicy, go somewhere else.
