The name is all its got going for this place. Burgers are super tiny on a huge bun. Have to get there big 4 burger sandwich to get up to a ½ lb. of meat. Also got there chicken rice soup — bland soup which had NO chicken. Never again

1st time, do not buy there burger, horrible! Very thin piece of meat, large bun, not good at all. They don’t know how to make burgers! Fast service is all that’s good.

The staff is just amazing. I am traveling on business and decided to go for a walk in the mall and stopped for a quick drink… ended up having dinner and never left! Food was amazing and the conversation was great. Thank you for ending my day on a wonderful note. I will be back!!! Katherine is new best friend while out in Lombard!

A good slider burger using its name and legend to charge itself as a top bar burger. Not a whole lot of value but knowing they have a full service bar just may bring me back during the Christmas shopping season.

First time ever at Billy Goat. I would definitely come to this location at Lombard Yorktown mall again. Food was delicious and came out fast. The staff was very knowledgeable about the history too.

I enjoy the Billy Goat downtown so I decided to go to the one at York town center. I ordered my usual a grand slam which is a 4 patty burger. I thought it was pretty much the same as the ones I get downtown just a little less attitude from the people there. I think they need to learn to joke around or like the guys in Chicago. I still give it four stars

Service pretty quick and friendly but food was horrible! Ordered single burgers which were paper thin with buns that were flaking apart. Tried to cut burger in half which was near impossible without destroying entire burger. Pickles good but that was about it. Would definitely eat at another spot at this food court.

Fries taste like raw potatoes. Very thin burger and very thick bun so all you taste is bread. The point of ordering an egg on a burger is so you get the yolk when you break into it, but the egg is so overcooked, there is no runny yolk. I don’t know if the flat, barely there burger there is seasoned, but it doesn’t taste like it. Will not be going back!

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible service. Sat at an empty bar for about 15 minutes while the bartender made eye contact every 30 seconds but did not stop eating her lunch for long enough to even greet us. Took our business elsewhere but disappointed because i really would have liked that beer with lunch!

Billy goat Tavern is located within the Yorktown Mall in the new remodeled food court. You basically place your order at the cashier station then they will call out your order once it’s done. Besides cheeseburgers they also serve salads and other types of sandwiches. but I’m here for a good cheeseburger. We ended up sitting by the bar area there are two flatscreen TVs and they can get any drink you like from beer to a mixed cocktail. When we got our food we ordered double cheeseburger patty and paid extra for the egg. They have a station that you would put your toppings from slices of raw onions to Kosher dill sliced pickles and the basic condiments. when we got our burgers I noticed that the Kaiser roll was kind of thick and the patties where as thin as steak and shake so the meat to bread ratio was still more bun. I would recommend to get at least two patties or more I think next time I will get the 3 to 4 patties at this location. To me it was kind of pricey for the burger of what you get. And I wasn’t too fond of my fried egg which was well done. I’m used to my egg to be a little bit runny not well done. My overall burger was dry even with lots of condiments. And when we ordered our fries they do not put salt on it you would have to put your salt yourself. I’m fine with that, the fries were crispy and soft in the middle which I’d like sometimes. I would have to give props on the customer service the cashier was friendly and patient and the staff would come by us to see how things were going. Overall it was an eh experience I may have to come back and try ordering more patties for my burger. Or order a ribeye sandwich like I used to when they were at the Taste of Chicago.

I’ve never been to the original Billy Goat. I would imagine it’s nothing like this. This is a shiny sports bar burger joint in a mall. But dude, I can get a decent cheezborger in the mall food court! And a beer or cocktail too! I will say their system is a bit chaotic. You order and then wait 5 – 10 minutes for your food and there’s no number or name attached so you have to pay close attention to what’s in the tray. I almost took someone else’s food once. We got two doubles and two fries. Yes they do have fries here. Despite all the text saying otherwise. The kaiser roll is a nice touch and you can add pickles, onion and relish as well as ketchup and mustard yourself. I thought the burger was juicy and tasty. The patties are somewhat thin, so I would definitely recommend at least a double — with just a single the bun-to-meat ratio is off. The fries were decent, nothing amazing. They also have a few other sandwiches — grilled cheese, ham & cheese, italian beef, etc. But don’t go looking for a huge menu. There is a full bar and a small but good selection of craft beer on tap(plus some macrobrews). The Yorktown food court is definitely improving, and I’m glad to see it. May be back for another Billy Goat cheezborger.

½/15 so I came here after my lunch got messed up at the mc Donald’s and the food was good, get a double. at least though. the patties are kinda thin and with a large but well done bun. the fries were surprisingly good and very crispy for thick cut fries. the establishment itself was very clean and pleasent looking and the staff was traffic. I got my food really fast the woman working the bar was friendly and helpful. it’s worth checking out and forming your own opinion.

Couldn’t wait for this place to open & was sorely disappointed; it is nothing like the original Billy Goat. Of course you know the famous quotes from the SNL skit about the joint: «No Coke! Pepsi!» «No fries! Chips!» Well at Yorktown, they serve fries, and Coke products. Blasphemy! And, my favorite part of the original Billy Goat dubla-cheeze? Besides the burger, the cheese and the pickles? The fresh, chewy Kaiser roll. Which they manage to ruin at Yorktown by grilling it. Ugh. Finally, the condiments, including my beloved kosher pickles, are misplaced way too close to the cash register, making for quite an awkward traffic jam. It will be my first and last time to this poor replica of a true original. To quote another SNL skit«Buh-bye now»

First and last time here. I ordered a cheeseburger and a diet coke. I stood there for 15 minutes as I watched the cashier give cheeseburgers to everyone who ordered after me. Twice I asked him were my order was and twice he asked me if I ordered fries too. Twice I told him«just a cheeseburger». I finally got my burger after I raised my voice. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because the burger was fairly decent for the price.

Came here a few days after they opened. Prices are completely reasonable(even if the place wasn’t in a mall). Food is similar to the original location with an addition of fries. The fries are very good. Full bar with good crafty beers on tap. There was a line but they were quick and efficient. I am excited to join my wife at the mall now.

It’s nice that Yorktown has a place in the mall with a full bar and big flat screens to watch The Chicago Blackhawks play. That rocks! Not so great is the super expensive price tag that goes along with it. My husband, daughter and I went and got 3 burgers, 3 fries and drinks(no alcohol) and it was just bout $ 35! We frequent the Billy Goat across from the UC and even with alcohol I don’t think our bill has ever been that much. Will not be going back to eat there anytime soon.
