Went in for a sprained ankle. Waited an hour WITH an appointment. Dr said get an x-​ray but he didn’t see anything wrong. Paid for office visit. 3 months later a bill comes for seeing DR. I pay it. 8 months later ANOTHER bill comes for the XRAY because its an additional charge. Neither dr nor staff mention that cause an additional charge on top of the visit. I call customer billing and they tell me ‘well of course theres additional charges.’ They suggested grilling the staff on every single thing that is done during the visit because you WILL NOT BE TOLD what you will be charged for. Probably this way at most hospitals. Disgusting state of health care.

Ive made several doctor appointments here. Every time ive waited 90 – 120 minutes after checking in. Dr. Michelloti is kind enough to spend 5 minutes with me

Was late to the cancer center due to traffic and Dr. Mirshahidi staff at the cancer center told me I’d have to wait or miss my appointment for another doctor (which I couldn’t) for my last visit. SMH.
Also the check in person Jared was beyond rude, what a way to treat a patient with a health condition screaming at me in front of other patients!!!
Will not miss this staff especially Rosorio. I would give it ZERO stars if I could.

Never again… Treatment was sub par… wait time was hours and hours… They could not tell us how much each service was going to be… Needed an x-​ray but they could not give us a price. They ended up charging us $ 850 for a children’s Ibuprofen, 1 x-​ray and an abdomen exam on a child with stomach pain.

It says er wait time…93 mins that’s a lie we’ve been here from 3pm to 1am and my wife just got called back… not only that but a woman came in and was seen quick because her grandson worked here they give preferred treatment to employees which is ridiculous then they call people who complain about the wait time… and my poor wife had to get seen 9 ½ hours later… Loma linda needs to get their shit straight… from what I see it’s going down hill you might want to check other hospitals before coming here… throw up in the waiting lobby sat for 2 hours before someone came to clean it…
I’m just done with this hospital… it used to be good and now it just went to shit!

Only reason I can’t give this hospital a negative is becuz Unilocal doesn’t allow it. My sister was in a major car accident one week ago today, this hospital discharged my sister after her car went off a cliff and flipped over and rolled 4 times. She had to be rescued out of the car before it went into flames. Her left ankle bone was hanging out, she has a hole in her thigh the size of 2 tennis balls that they stapled up after they inserted a tube for drainage, then another tube for drainage on her right leg that was busted open, they put no gauze on her knee cap where all the skin was removed. Day 3 at the hospital she has surgery and 2hrs later nurse comes in we are going to prepare you for discharge. Excuse me! She has no car, she has tubes hanging out of her legs and still in a soft cast. After raising hell they did not discharge her but proceeded with trying to do physical therapy the same day. WHAT! she can’t even walk, she just had surgery. Then a nurse comes in and says she’s going to take her blood to prep her for surgery. Excuse me she just got out of surgery 4hrs ago. She had no clue. after confirming that she already had blood taken and had surgery she was finally able to rest. Next day they take her to surgery to restructure her foot. her blood pressure the whole time was no less than ¹⁸⁰⁄₁₀₀ but Friday they send her home with tubes hanging out of her legs no pain meds didn’t wheel chair her out didn’t wrap her knee. Basically sending her home with open wounds that can get infected and she could lose her leg. BUT they only concern was she didn’t have the insurance they wanted to treat her any further. Ummm is she not human, what happen to compassion, what happen to respect? I couldn’t believe it. No one knows what each other is doing, it was like an investigation to find out what was next on the agenda, the worst communication I’ve ever experienced in my life. This hospital needs to be shut down immediately. You just dont treat people like that. They should be ashamed of themselves

I’m really leaving this review just to warn anyone who comes into this hospital. Their regulation is that the entire time you’re admitted into their hospital you MUST keep an IV in your arm the ENTIRE time. Which for me would up being a NINE HOUR trip. So sitting in the waiting room for all those hours to never hear your name, you’ll be sitting with an IV in your arm. Also, which made that experience soooooooooooo much worse was the fact that they didn’t even know how to put it in. A week later and I still have a HUGE bruise where they had attempted to put the IV and a second HUGE bruise where they finally put it in my other arm. Which, the second one they somehow spilled out some of my blood and never even bothered to completely clean it off of my arm. I will not be visiting here ever again.

I would have given them a 5… Had a quadrupole bypass… the doctors were great … Well my doctor dr. feridian…but the nurse staff its so so… i would have said it was great stay… but not… wat happen just 2 days after my major operation… in November b4 thxgiving n the massacre shooting… was stressed by the nurses who were caring for me… my cell phone was stolen from me… Bt one of the nurse there… couldn’t prove it… but i know it was her… just 2 days after my op… my cell stolen from me… thats so low… its like kicking me down when im down already… i temped to ask the staff so many times about it or find it… all they can say it will pop sooner or later… at my end of my stay… finally a security came to my room to take a report… almost a month it took them… when the security ask me wat took me so long to report… i told them i been asking… the staff said they were doing something about it… but never reported at all… got out of the hospital… And payed 400 dollars for new cell which i should have… if they didnt have a thief in their staff… I’m still very upset n still bothered me till now… Had many memorable pics now all gone… dont get me wrong the doctors were great… they fixed me good… n saved my life… but after the surgery o wasnt comfortable after my cell was stolen from… thats it…

ER Review: Been here for over 8 hours. My son was experiencing inability to move the right side of his body. We are still here getting tests, but it took almost 7 hours to see a doctor. Urgent care wouldn’t take him and advised him to come here. Never again! The nurse is nice and that’s why I gave two stars.

Came here for the first time with a friend of mind while going snowboarding, he had a pretty rough fall. The staff here is, alright I guess, the wait is long, it’s congested, parking sucks and I would hate to be stuck here for a long period of time.
The ER is packed to the point where the have patients on beds in the hallways waiting for a spot, overall I know this hospital name is one of the top in the nation, I feel that this location overall needs some updating.
Other then that, I’m sure they perform to the highest standards.

Have been waiting for 8 hours in this crappy hospital’s ER. They don’t give a straight answer when you ask about time. Got an emergency? Go somewhere else. This place is the pits.

Beware of doctor dean dagermangy
At first he was nice but towards my last trimester it was awful, he doesn’t know who you are personally and treats you according to notes from his computer. I changed my doctor to a local one and I only wait 15 minutes maximum. Here you wait one hour and the. He makes you wait longer just so he can read his note about who you are.

I absolutely agree with majority of reviews on here. The patient care and customer here are very lacking. I have stayed here 4 times (and never by choice– it’s because my surgeon and his team, who are great by the way, has affiliation with this hospital. I have to come here if I want to go through him as a surgeon, unfortunately.
I want to give this place a one star, because I believe I have enough experience here to do so. I also have experience working in a hospital for a year and a half under nursing staff (at a different hospital). I do truly respect my surgeon and think he is amazing –and I have had a few good nurses so that’s that why the two stars. I’m going to touch mainly of my recent experience of my stay here yesterday and today (I’m still here.)
Three times I’ve been here I’ve gone from Post Op/​Recovery to Intensive Care Unit. Last night and in previous times here, the Post Op unit has been very attentive and the nurses are very friendly. Yesterday after my surgery I had 4 nurses help me, they introduced themselves and asked my name and how I was doing. That is pretty much unheard of in Intensive Care Unit. I was in Post-​op for 8 hours yesterday!!! My RN, Tony, was was very nice and great, called about 5 – 6 times to Intensive Care Unit asking why over and over why they still had me in Post-​op. ICU kept saying they didn’t have enough room. It’s amazing though– by the 6^th time be called, they agreed and let me come up and they had a full room with 3 beds available! Crazy huh? It’s not like I already PREPAID a butt load of money for a one day/​night hospital stay. I understand there are always people in worse condition, but 8 hours in Recovery??? They were ready to have me out two hours after my jaw surgery and iliac crest bone graft.
I was extremely tired and sore and couldn’t sleep in Post-​op because the bright lights, loudness, and hecticness. When my surgeon came to visit me he was very concerned that I was still in Post-​op and not in ICU. I was t able to eat from 12am that morning so I literally went from 12am-​9pm to have anything besides water in my system. I wasn’t offered dinner last night when I finally got to my room either.
I’ll touch on my experience in ICU yesterday after I finally got here and met my nurse. I believe her name was Annie and she was sweet. The front desk staff have got to be the the RUDEST I have ever experienced on all occasions I’ve stayed here. I could here them all gossiping like they are in high school from my room and all throughout the day and night. I could hear them talk about patients and making fun of them– which is so so so unprofessional, unethical and awful customer service. I called the front probably a total of 3 times and heard the phone ring out there for at least 30 seconds– a minute while they just continued to talk. When they answered, they acted annoyed and didn’t say «Hi may I help you?» They just said «Yeah?» Or «Hello?» The third time I called them, I heard the phone ringing out there and one of them just picked up the phone and hung it up. So rude!!! I am the nicest, most polite patient and each time I’ve been here I’ve been treated like crap. I am not paying 8000 plus to be made to feel like crap. I did not choose to come here or be transferred on this floor. (I actually really just wanted to go home because I remember my previous bad experiences here and would have rather have been in pain than deal with the staff on ICU.) Butttt because of my surgery, they wouldn’t let me.
I called and asked for prune juice or stool softeners for one of my calls and they said they have to order it up specially and that they would have to do it tomorrow. I heard them make fun of me for ordering prune juice. I’m sorry that I’m on painkillers that make me constipated! Why do I have to wait until the morning for prune juice? Do they keep it locked up in a safe late at night so no one can have any or what haha?! It’s now 8:20 am and I haven’t gotten either yet. I just reordered a half hour ago and still nothing.
When the CNA, Mylisa, came in this morning, she didn’t introduce herself or ask to come in/​knock… She just walked in and said here’s your breakfast and put it on my tray and walked out. When I worked at a hospital that was a huge no no! We had to knock or ask to come in, introduce ourselves to every new patient, ask if they needed anything and just be polite. I don’t think they receive customer service training here. This floor is small too-​25 patients. The hospital I used to work on had around 50 patients some with a little more like Mother Baby or Gyn/​uro. The nurses had 8 – 10 patients each.
The stay ended on a better note. My discharge nurse, Audrey, was very attentive, sweet and funny. She definitely made my stay better after the previous night and day at Loma Linda. I guess I just got lucky with her!

This has bee the worst hospital visit in my life
I use to come to this hospital and wanted to make it my prefered hospital but the people that work here are rude and more focus on them self than patient care.

Once again I ended up in the ER unit. It was a mad house when we drove up at 6pm. At least 12 ambulances in the parking lot. The waiting room was wall to wall of sick people. I know everyone has issues about the wait here. What people need to remember is this ER receives a lot of trauma cases so definitely if you have a fever/​cold or other minor issues, you will have a long wait. In those cases, i would go to a Urgent care center & not to a ER.
I’d like to say thank you to my ER nurse MALLORY! You were wonderful!
Also thank you SHANNON, who is the ultrasound dept. You also were great!
I truly believe this hospital is the BEST! ER DEPARTMENT INCLUDED!

Wish I could rate no stars. Worst emergency I’ve been to. Very rude nurses!!! Literally sharing chips and talking like its high school. Waited for 6 hours!!! Then spoke to a nurse about how much longer I’d be. And he specifically said «sorry but they’re patients who are in worse condition and we have no rooms available.»
Notified him it was fine and that if we didn’t get seen within the next five minutes we were leaving.
Not even two minutes and all 6 – 12 patients (including us) were taken into «prepared and ready» rooms. Weird. How there weren’t any rooms then all of a sudden these rooms magically opened up.
If it’s an emergency don’t come here!!!

This is for wifi only. The medical service has been top notch and five stars during my cancer treatment but for the please God, tell whoever is in charge of their technology that their wifi is completely useless. It was three years ago when my girlfriend was in the ICU of the main building, it’s useless in the clinic across the street, and it was useless in the surgery building I was in down the street. Three separate building and wifi so bad it wasn’t worth the three-​five minutes it took to load a single Google search. I can’t think of anything (besides the words cancer free) that would be more comforting than being able to read the news during the hours and literally days of waiting that occur in hospitals than to just be able to read the latest news. How could they be so backwards? What are they paying for this service that doesn’t work at all?

This review is for the ED department. I’ve been dealing with some medical issues that I have been receiving treatment for. But the treatment I was receiving was not working, which is why I ended up here. I was sent here by a urgent care doctor.
I got to the ED about 10 pm. It was probably about a hour before I got triaged. During that time I was given an IV and got blood drawn. The wait to get a bed was ridiculous. I waited about 4 hours before I was taken to a bed.
The urgent care doctor had written on a paper that I needed to have an ultrasound or ct scan done and the nurse in triage ordered me an X-​ray. The communication seemed to be a bit off because I had requested some meds and it took forever to have the doctor approve it. I waited about another hour before I received an IV drip and another hour for medication. It was roughly 6 hours from the time I got there until I was seen by a doc.
Even though things were difficult. The two nurses who took are of me were great. They treated me very well and when I started to get stressed, they were there to calm me down.
After all this the nurse who did my IV at first did a terrible job because it hurt like hell and after I came home my arm had a huge bruise on it. I’m pretty sure waiting around for 5 hours with an Iv in my arm and nothing going through it blew my vein. Next time I will be refusing an IV until they will be pushing meds or a drip through it.

My 6 year old had her surgery here (The Childrens Hospital) in March. We were told to arrive at 9 a.m. and that they go by age. Younger kids go into surgery first. We arrive and wait in the lobby for 10 minutes before they take us in to pre-​op. There her vitals and other prep work is done.
We wait around for another hour and half. This kinda sucked because my 6 year couldn’t eat anything since the previous night and couldn’t have anything to drink after 7 am that morning. But it’s understandable that the younger ones went before her and she was old enough to understand.
She was very nervous, as anyone is before they have surgery. Because of that she was given a sedative that helped calm her down alot and made the IV process much easier.
We gave our info and were told we would recieve updates via text message.
We did recieve a total of 4 text. One with our case #, when surgery started, another to let us know everything was going well, and last one telling us surgery was over and to meet the Doctor in the lobby.
After speaking with the doctor we were able to go into post-​op, a large room with many beds separated by curtains. If patients respond well they are then sent to their rooms. A room was reserved for us, however another child had urgent problem which delayed the process of getting our own room. It wasn’t till 3 hours later that her room was ready.
Our room was spacious (it was a shared room with one other girl). But it was big enough for both kids to have visitors. And it had a couch/​bed for us to stay in (I stayed all 6 days). The nurses were kind brought out blankets for me and told me were to get regular coffee (yes they do have regular coffee in certain areas).
There she received excellent care. Nurses were caring. They encouraged her to get out of bed. They helped get her out of bed and onto a wheel chair so she had free range. We were allowed to take her to a play room with many toys and other recovering children. And once a day she went to school in the hospital. She was even allowed to rent movies, video games, and toys from the playroom to take to her room. She really enjoyed being able to pick out her meals for each day.
Little by little she regained her mobility and by day 6 she was able to return home (with a catherer). We were given clear instructions and shown how to take care of her and handeling/​cleaning of her catherer. Before we were discharged I was given her Rx and told were to order them (in the building) and were ready before we left.
After she was discharged a nurse walked us out to our car.

My previous experiences have been horrible and today is no different. An hour before vital signs were taken, this even when my daughter’s vital signs were taken at the urgent care less than 10 minutes since we left the urgent care. It’s almost 2 hours since we arrived and my daughter who rated her pain more than a 10 has yet to be triaged! This is despite having a different area for pediatrics. I wish I listened to my instinct and drove to CHOC. Avoid this like plague!
Now while walking out, this is what I find outside the ER a used IV –nice good one. I stepped to the side and watched nurses and staff plus security walk right by it. I am leaving now and would not have my dog treated here Unilocal please leave this up here is a pic
