I have eaten here mostly for breakfast, but have gone for dinner a couple of times. Their breakfast is top notch. One of my favorites is the big biscuits and with country fried steak and sausage gravy. I also like the new andouille sausage biscuit. Prices are good and there is a wide variety of food to choose from. The couple of times I have been for dinner I have been well satisfied. My wife likes to get the fried cod or fried fresh fish of the day. Everything that I have tried and my wife have tried have been very good. For dinner they bring in waiters to wait on the tables instead of the counter service for breakfast.

So good! The hush puppies are amazing. I also prefer a lot of others. Definitely get sweet tea! Good location and right next to the taxidermy! I love this place! It is one of my favorites! I soooooooo recommend this place. Get hush puppies as a side!

I did take out for dinner and got the grilled shrimp, and catfish southern style. The shrimp and catfish were fine, but sides(okra & cole slaw) were meh. Tarter sauce and hush puppies were not the best either. I stopped by as they advertise on their scrolling sign a microbrew selection – yes, they did have some, but they didn’t know what I was ordering(IPA) and I had to point it out to them. I’ll give them a nice try for at least having a few other than the beer water most places carry. Will I go again – probably not. Nice people, clean place, but missing on the food quality counts big for me. One last thing that sort of irked me – the pricing isn’t all that great either. Example is the gator tail appetizer is about $ 7 and you get a few tiny pieces of tail. Not a deal.

First time going and heard it was decent. Mega disappointed. The set up is weird and there was no breakfast menu posted to read so you have to wait until you get up to the counter. Ordered the bacon plate and my boyfriend got the pancake/hash brown plate. No waitress which is annoying for the coffee refill factor. Thin, cheap forks. Styrofoam cups! Community sugar. Cold ass eggs!!! Hash browns are the frozen kind that look like McDonalds. My bacon looked like the scraps from the pan. Plain, over buttered grits that were at least warm. The butter on the pancake didn’t even melt because it was so cold! The biscuits were good though. Just order a biscuit and call it a day. We will not be returning here.

Have been here a number of times. The food has always been good and it’s not the same old burger and fries. They have seafood and BBQ. Only problem is that they are frequently out of our favorites.

the first mistake i made was getting the cheapo breakfast plate. while it seems like you might be getting this great country meal deal, it turns out, it’s very little food once you see it. umm… maybe i mean little by american standards. :) i don’t remember the name of it though. bland eggs. *biscuits* are yummy though. the second mistake i made was not reading the description of the«beignets». they indicate it’s not the same as you would expect so i don’t want to insinuate false advertising. basically, it’s a deep fried biscuit covered with confectioner’s sugar and other fruit toppings if you want. i’m not sure if that sounds tantalizing to you just by the description… heavy would be a good word. won’t be going back.

Delicious! We were very impressed with this neat but plain little place. Super friendly and the food is cooked fresh… from scratch. Highly recommend!

While searching for the best breakfast biscuits, several people recommended Claude’s Off the Bayou. When I arrived at Claude’s I noticed there was a drive-thru window, and a sign featuring a peaceful green field with a giant golden biscuit rising above the horizon like a giant sun, or alien spaceship or something. Perfect. Inside, it was clean and quiet. We were late getting away from the house, so things had probably died down as it was about 11 am. There were two sizes of biscuit, regular and large. I ordered one of each for comparison sake. The biscuit was golden brown, like in the picture. It had a smooth, soft texture to it. Not flaky at all. It had a lardy or buttery taste to it, but wasn’t overwhelming. The sausage and bacon was flavorful and homemade fresh tasting. The eggs were crumbly and good, but had trouble staying in the biscuit. The regular biscuit was maybe a little bigger than McDonald’s, the large was the size of a newborn, so really it was«cat head» size, like a full-sized bagel). The service was decent, standard«window order» semi self-serve. They had a self-refill Coke products trough which is key. Prices were great, $ 2 – 3 depending on options. I really liked Claude’s. It was a huge improvement over the Old Poste in Grayson. I would definitely stop by if I am in Loganville at breakfast, but I’m thinking the Little Barn being about the same distance from my parent’s house probably gets a slight edge on my biscuit experience.

Welcoming and kind service. Didn’t get to have the bbq ribs(Fri/Sat) only. I had the fried gator(amazing) and New Orleans grilled oysters(fantastic). The corn fritters were also very good as well as the baked bbq beans. I also had pulled pork with georgia-style bbq(tomato based, sweeter) rather than the south carolina and north carolina versions. I would suggest they put more sauce on it! Had the beignets at the end of the night. They are definitely dense but sweet deliciousness! Great place and will definitely eat here the next time I’m hankering for some bbq and gator!

Off the Bayou moved out of the CS Floyd Street location in Summer 2010 and apparently merged with Claude’s, which is a little further East on Hwy 78. I tried it once since the move and was really disappointed, because the things that were good before are gone now. Claude’s has a lot of items on their Southern fare menu, but it’s nothing to get excited about — it’s only a small step above smorgasborg dining.

My family and I went while I was visiting this evening. Delicious! I got the red beans and rice with a side of fried green tomatoes, my dad got the gumbo, my mom got the blackened shrimp salad, and my boyfriend got the flounder with hush puppies and coleslaw. We also got a basket of fried pickles to share. I took it upon myself to sample from everyone’s plate(or bowl) and I loved it all. The only thing I think could be approved on is the time we waited for our food, but I can accept it because I know the owner is cooking it up fresh!

A real surprise in culinarily bereft Loganville, Mike serves up some impressive Cajun grub. The gumbo and catfish poboy are especially tasty. It’s not a place that will impress a first date with it’s décor or service, but both are adequate and laid back.
