Weibel Family Tasting Room

We stopped here on our wine tour and ate lunch while we waited for our tasting. Well… after our first tasting, we just kept waiting. Our pourer forgot about us. We were full from lunch and honestly, bubbles are even more filling. We decided no biggie and moved on the next tasting.

I dropped by the tasting room again last Saturday as I had such a fun time talking to Richard, the guy who served me the last time I was there. They said he wasn’t here today? What? You would think on a Saturday a very busy day they would have their best wine tasting guy there! And the young 20 something (who has NO personality) must be a 20 something thing! Anyway she knows like nothing about wine! and Then there was this brunette woman who I think may have been a manager, she appeared that way anyway just made me feel tension. weird! I hope Richard is there next time I drop by there, maybe in November?

Since my last review, Lisa from Weibel Corpate has contacted me. This alone shows they care about their members. Can’t wait for our next pick up!

Great variety of sparkling wines, wonderful décor and we have experienced great service each
time we have been there.
Today’s service was excellent, and we were served an extra pour beyond the standard 5. My favorites are the peach and almond sparkling. The aquas flavor is beautiful to look at since it is a breathtaking neon blue, but I am not a fan of the blueberry taste and influence.
TO MANAGEMENT: Please add more stools. Standing is tough on the longer side of the bar.

This tasting room is so cozy and cute! I highly recommend the bar seating as you get much quicker service since the person serving you is right there.
The tastings are relatively inexpensive. The champagne ones were under 10 and I think the wines were slightly more? I can’t remember but I remembered that it wouldn’t break the bank. The way you order tasters is that you write them on the table. Our server was great and served us our champagnes in an order so that the flavors would compliment each other.
My favorite of the 5 champagnes I tried was the almond. It’s the perfect amount of sweet and the almond adds a nice kick to it. The almond is pretty subtle, but the aftertaste is much more powerful. It was so tasty that I ended up buying a bottle which was 12 $. For every bottle you buy, one of your tasters is free! So basically you spend a few extra bucks and you get an entire bottle and tasters.
I also enjoyed the fruity ones — especially the peach mango and pomegranate. The peach mango was my second favorite and was nearly just as tasty as the almond. The fruitiness went great with the nice bubbly. It was so refreshing!
My least favorite was probably the brut. The flavor was a bit overwhelming because you could taste the fruit and the hazelnuts at the same time.

A very excellent excellent service wine palace. very distinct. They give the great atmosphere of individual and private parties at various occasions. I’m currently hanging out at the sofa, wanting to be left alone and as I see all the employees that are willing to help me once i make eye contact, are up to par for trying to help not just me but everybody else with 100% satisfaction. Judi is a great team leader along with Brenda and Dana during this Sunday. Its probably the busiest I’ve probably seen this winery in the past 3 months and I do not see any pressure or hesitation from their momentum. they believe in great team work and everything works out great. I’ve been through different restaurants and wineries and with their power of communication and integrity, everything seems to work out excellent for the Weibel family.

I don’t have enough good things to say about our experience today here! Judy and her staff helped me plan a last minute bachelorette party and it was amazing! The ambiance is so classy and feminine. They had us all set up and were so attentive. The girls loved it!
The champagne is delicious! Absolutely try the new blue champagne and the almond!

Visited this tasting room twice. Once the Sunday after Zinfest with friends and another time with just my husband and a Groupon. Both times we enjoyed the offerings and bought bottles. Raspberry and Stanford Brut are my favorite sparkling options. My husband got a bottle of very yummy red wine for only $ 10 and I usually don’t like red wine. 2^nd visit was on a Wednesday afternoon so it wasn’t busy and the employees were friendly and attentive.

They have the best sparking wines here. My favorites are almond and pomegranate. 3 stars because the service sucks and one lady is always rude.

What I love about dedicated winery tastings is that you can always learn something about the company, vineyard history or the family behind it. The tales are always entertaining.
At Weibel, I found out who I am when it comes to bubbly. I like subtlety, not in my face screaming «LOOK I’M SWEET AND FRUITY!». The raspberry sparkling was said to be a popular choice, but was a bit too much for me. Pomegranate demi-​sec was more up my valley, with Grand Cuvee Brut being my absolute favorite from the tasting.
The folks in Lodi are friendly and J who attended us is no different.

Amazing sparkling flights, great prices, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly! Highly recommended for a nice time! We had a group of 13 and they accommodated us with ease :)

This review is for the sparkling wine and lack of attentiveness. Granted, my friends and I came in at the end of the day, so I get if the workers were trying to get out of there. The place was still packed though, and it looked like they were short-​staffed, so I wasn’t really surprised by the lackluster service we got — it was basically, choose the wines you want, write them down on the counter (with dry-​erase marker) and they’ll pour.
The raspberry sparkling wine was too sweet for my taste, kind of like a Jolly Rancher. I saw that some wine-​tasters were getting margarita mix with some of their wines but I wasn’t sure what that was for… I guess if you try the citron sparkling wine you could ask to try it together.
Definitely try the almond and peach sparkling wines. I hadn’t had almond before, which was nicely subtle in sweetness and flavor. It looks like a couple other wineries around the area also serve almond sparkling wine (Abundance, Sorelle, the Dancing Fox) so I’ll have to try those and compare!
$ 5 tasting for sparkling wine, $ 7 for reds or whites (I think), $ 10 for a combination of the 3. The wine bottles are affordable; I think the sparkling wines go for $ 12 or so.

Weibel Family wine tasting room should be called Weasel’s Family! My Mom and I went in there to taste a few sparkling champagnes and my mom didn’t want to taste because she’s allergic to almonds and raspberry (the two we were trying). The lady gave me a bunch to try and said that we could just share the tasting. The entire time she kept saying (at least 3x) it would be $ 5 for my tasting, since my mom only had a sip of one of mine and a non-​alcoholic kind. She treated us like we weren’t important, even though we said we were trying for a wedding! She left us there for awhile and then ONE MORE TIME she told us it would be $ 5… The bill was $ 9.49!!! So my mom got charged a full wine tasting for a sip of one wine and another sip of a NON ALCOHOLIC WINE! Never again… I don’t care how good their wine is. That place swindled us. Oh, she never asked for my ID (even though I look waaaay younger than I am) I had to remind her. I wonder how she would have swindled us if we bought a case?! Ridiculous…

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this place! Nice décor and ambience great selection of wine. But what impressed me was the champagne!
Super friendly staff, tried everything but the champagne impressed me so much my mom and I became club members. Almond champagne is my favorite but they are all amazing.
Now I get invited to all the party’s, free tastings, free delivery you just cant go wrong.

First the good — the ambiance is beautiful. It is set up like a perfect place to enjoy wine and friends.
My experience that made me write a one star review: ended up here this past Saturday with a couple of friends. There were two ladies standing behind the bar. We were not acknowledged so I walked up to them and asked about the seating. One of the ladies politely said anywhere would be fine. After we sat down, one of the ladies left the bar and the second one went inside to never show up again. We waited about fifteen minutes realizing that we were not going to be served! We ended up at the bar next door and had a fabulous evening!

Showed up for Ladies Night Tuesday and had a fabulous time. The tasting room has a warm atmosphere, the staff is very helpful and go the extra mile to find out what you are looking for. We tasted the line of sparkling wines and ended up buying the sparkling raspberry. They have the wine club you can join, not too sure on specifics as I did not join, though one of my girlfriend’s has been a long time club member purchasing every few months and another one of our friends with us this night joined. The owner came through and was so pleasant, really enjoyed talking to all of the customers. Great place to stop with a wide selection of wines and a great price range as well. Stop in, you won’t be disappointed!

I love this place! I love the décor, the prices and the selection. I come here often with my friends and a few of us have joined the wine club. I recommend the sparkling Almond and Peach. I also recommend the GH. The only suggestion would be more munchies. Maybe cheese/​cracker/​fruit plates?

We ordered three cases of the raspberry sparkling wine for our wedding this month. Everyone loved the wine, that one is by far my favorite! Of course, all the other wines Weibel has are delicious too!
