Ross Dress for Less

Here’s my take:
— Always greeted upon entry by Loss Prevention — check.
— Mens shoes stocked and good selection — check.
— Pretty good prices that compete with online — check.
— Finally, cashiers (9 times out of 10) are social and pleasant to talk to.
I don’t have any complaints or negative experiences to share.
Only suggestion would to offer loyalty points or fictitious cash like other department stores.
Keep it up.

I hoped that when I wanted to purchase two pairs of earrings, I would be rung up at the separate register they have in that area. Not the case. I was told, «follow me to the register over here.» So the male employee walks away quickly to a cash wrap area, shoves my earrings I want to buy in a drawer there and walks away. Doesn’t look at me or say anything else. I am expected to get into the long line of customers. Then when it’s my turn to be rung up, the cashier looks at me and asks where my items are! Well, shouldn’t you know? Do you think that’s a good system? Why should I have to tell you where your co-​worker shoved my items in a drawer? She goes to retrieve them after I advise her where they are. I then advised her that their customer service was the worst and I don’t know if she cared. Where is the Manager? I know they are not paid well but learn some basic, customer service skills! Walk me over to the other register and ring me up! I don’t think I will be back at this location.

So. I hate to admit that I frequent this place. Sometimes it’s a bit crowded. But overall they try and keep it clean as best as possible.
My only dismay with the location is the fact that there are so many idiotic parents that let their kids run around unsupervised and touch things. not just toys. And need major disciplining. Quite aggravating
Otherwise all the staff I’ve dealt with her have been helpful and accommodating

I don’t even want to give this Ross store 1 star. Over the last year it has gotten progressively worse with each visit. After today i will not be returning. When you go to and leave the dressing room you are treated as if you have stolen or are going to steal something. The ladies nearly yell at you if you don’t do exactly as they say. So rude beyond words!!! Customer service means nothing at this store. They’ve completely lost perspective that we are their customer. You are treated more like an inmate in this store.

I love a good bargain and this store has plenty. If you don’t mind taking the time to actually search through the racks, you can find some really cute things and good deals as well. This is a ROSS store, so you’re obviously not going to have the ambiance of an upscale department store.
Pro’s :
— You can find great deals if you’re willing to put in the time and effort
— This place has a good selection of affordable Plus Size clothing
— In a jam, you can get a quick, inexpensive gift for pretty much anyone.
— The store is clean and mostly organized
Con’s :
— It has a bit of a flea market feel; it will be crowded and scattered.
— You do feel like a criminal when you try things on
(I understand they get a lot of shoplifters but the employees go overboard)
— Continuing, their customer service isn’t the greatest.
— It’s located in a poorer area so you get the occasional person asking you
for money outside or walking around the store talking to themselves.
If you can put up with it, it’s worth a try to find a great deal.
I wouldn’t go here if I had something specific and professonal or classy I was looking for but when I need a bargain or just want something new for no reason, I drop by.

Store is limited on merchandise but the customer is service is first class with Samina! She went out of her way to assist us in looking for a pair of shoes in my daughter’s size. They didn’t have it. Them but she made a true effort to look just in case another patron placed them in the wrong section.

I typically like Ross stores. I used to live up in the Rocklin/​Roseville area and was a frequent shopper. However, I haven’t had such luck with this one here in Lodi. I’ve gone multiple times, hoping for the best, only to leave disappointed. Perhaps its just the luck of the draw. Small town, smaller options. I don’t know, but at this point I’m thinking the drive up to Sacramento would be worth the gas.

It’s a ‘hit and miss’. Sometimes you can find lots of good stuff there and other times you can’t find a damn thing. I don’t like the location, it’s right next to the dirtiest 99c store. Yuck.

On this visit, the store was a little sparse. It was clean and organized though, which was a nice change from normal Ross stores. I like this location.
