The worst experience I have ever had!!! Moved pillows to lay down and found a dead rat on bed under pillow!!! So gross! Do not stay here!!!

Yuck. Ok for one night if all you need is a bed and shower. All rooms suppose to be non smoking but there were ashtrays in the rooms! Gross nasty cigarette smell coming from the room. I am highly allergic and have a bad cough now. I have no idea why this place was $ 70 a night. Smoke alarm ripped from the ceiling. I’m real sure thats up to fire code. Looks cute and cozy online but not so much in person. Will not stay here again and do not recommend.

I was unaware that this was the weekend of MS150 when I made my reservation, and every room in town was booked solid.(I was in town for a friend’s wedding in Dale.) My main complaints were the following: — chain nonfunctioning — the actual bit that goes into the holder was missing — smoke alarm incomplete — only the wires were dangling with the batteries and lid nowhere in sight — no ironing board/iron — no clock — obviously once a smoking room — with my allergies and asthma, I had requested a non-smoking room — a horsefly in the room — noisy neighbors who conversed outside Otherwise, the check-in process was easy with a friendly front desk clerk, and I stayed on the side of the motel away from the road. As promised, there was free wi-fi, a microwave and mini-fridge, toiletries, impressive flat-panel TV with an array of channels(I was able to watch Masterpiece PBS: Mr. Selfridge, The Office, and some of Kill Bill, Vol. 1), and free basic breakfast(taco and drink or $ 2 off other entrée at the next door Lockhart Café). The shower’s water pressure was decent. Proximity to other eateries/food sources(the motel is in between a barbecue joint and a Whataburger open 24 hours, Dairy Queen, and near the excellent Mr. Taco, Domino’s, McDonald’s, Doughnut Palace, and a chicken joint; down the street from the Walmart) is also a boon. I had wanted to stay at the Best Western, but it was completely booked.(I had attempted to book three months in advance, which was still not early enough due to the race this weekend.) Lockhart Inn was a passable substitute, but I’ve learned my lesson about booking well in advance and checking the event calendar.

Nice and clean room and a very reasonable price for a Friday $ 55. We came to Lockhart after a long road trip and stayed the night. My judge of a hotel is the shower head. There was great water pressure. I’m happy. The beds are comfortable and there was a new flat screen HD tv in the room. If you’re in town and looking for a place to stay look here first. The hotel is older, but the lady at the desk was friendly and informative of what was in town.

I was, unfortunately forced to stay over-night last night in the tiny, «no horse» town of Lockhart, Texas. My only savings Grace was the Lockhart Inn located at 1207 S. Colorado St. From the moment I walked through the front door at 10:30 pm. I was met with friendly, Texas sized smiles. Clean, automatically pleasing front desk area. A fair market price of $ 55(tax included) room rate. Clean, comfortable and secure room. With a very comfortable queen-size bed. Freshly cleaned beadspread and a clean and huge shower/tub. This morning, the staff bent over backwards in helping to accommodate me with transportation to Austin, Tx. (There is zero bus service and zero taxi service in Lockhart, Texas) Bear, the Maintenace Manager taxied me 37 miles«one-way» back to civilization in Austin. This experience was made tolerable only by the staff and owners of the Lockhart Inn. A truely earned 5 Star review!
