Simply put not enough servers, cooks, bartenders and anyone else needed to run a restaurant efficiently. Food is average Be prepared to wait and wait.

I had been excited about this dinner for over a week. Knowing they changed to prime rib didn’t bother me I thought it was a smart idea because my family cooks it on a yearly basis and it is easy to feed a ton of people. IN this case that did not work out. Our reservation was at 8pm and we went to bar to find a couple who was also angry and left because they were never helped. I can say Lynn did try her best but not once asked what kind of wine just poured and handed glasses to everyone. Not thinking she was charging because we DID not get a choice in the matter. At the end it was a different story. Finally between 8:30 and 9pm we were seated to have a salad that was on a dinner roll plate, not all of the guests at our table received a salad and not one proportion was the same. We had to get up and get our own bread, we never got any water. WE never had one waitress and the whole restaurant had been served main course and was getting dessert before we ever got our main course. Which was cold, lacked salt and never had a choice in how rare I wanted my prime rib which was WELLDONE. We never received butter for lobster or for our bread. I was also never made aware that couples received a discount which in a review I read about this same evening they didn’t know either. I also never received a dessert and was charged $ 148. Just finished NYE dinner and it was the worst dining experience I have ever had. They were wildly overbooked, completely confused, minimal staff that had no idea what was going on. No one mentioned prices or what our meal options were. We had to request drink menus, ask what they were serving, ask if they had appetizers and the list goes on. Not one person checked on us when we got our meal. Food was cold and mushy. 30 minutes to get salt and pepper. We think they served a dessert course but no one ever mentioned it so we never got it. Bill took 45 minutes to process. All of this and we paid $ 400. Applebee’s would have been a better alternative. And a day later we just looked at the website and saw grilled steak(not prime rib) advertised along with Champagne, dessert and a chocolate fountain. It also says $ 110/couple and we were charged $ 120/couple. So we were overcharged and half of the advertised meal not even offered to us. Wow…there are no words for how bad this was. Almost seems like we were deliberately duped.

When you pull into this place, you are sitting in a gravel lot with an industrial storage building. There is a sign in front of this building for the restaurant, but no other evidence that you found the right location. In the distance you will see what looks like an apartment building — this is where the restaurant is. There are two signs on this building — one is for some residences, the other for a winery. After wandering around this building, we eventually located the bistro. By the time we found the entrance, we were about two seconds from giving up. The restaurant was almost empty. There was a single person in evidence — she was the hostess and also our server. The food was acceptable, just not first rate. This is a real problem given the price tag here. At these prices, one expects impeccable food prep and service. One also expects a well lighted parking lot(preferably paved), and a certain amount of ambience. None of that is in evidence here.

Four of us had dinner at the TreeHouse Bistro last Friday. The presentation was was first class. The boys each had the large filet and it was the best beef I’ve had in years. We couldn’t finish our portions and my buddy is 6 foot five and muscular. The scalloped potatoes served with the filet were delicious. The girls each had salmon and loved it. One serving was with a great risotto and the other with asparagus lightly breaded in a tempura batter. The wine list is extensive and there are many wines served by the glass. The atmosphere is as good as it gets around here but the acoustics need to be improved.. The service was fine. John

Welcome back Tree House! I have been back to this place twice since their reopening. Both times I encountered great service and exceptional food. It’s nice to have such quality dining so close by and certainly glad the owners decided to rebuild after the devastating fire. I read the previous reviews regarding their re-grand opening. They were odiously overwhelmed and not everyone had a good experience. I highly suggest a revisit, you won’t be disappointed.
