Food is fresh and beautiful. Being the middle eastern food snob I am this is a hands down winner. Really more of a carry out… But GREAT carry out. Perfect!

Seriously one of the best restaurants we have ever visited! Stopped in on Wednesday for a light bite to eat before heading to a concert. The soup, salad and hummus were so fresh and delicious! It was so delicious, that we got up this morning and headed back over for BREAKFAST. They were pretty empty because apparently not a lot of people know that this gem is open for breakfast. Norma, Ida, and Sam went above and beyond to make us a fresh, hot and delicious omlettes, raw juice smoothies, and then they packed up dinner to go for us with ice packs to keep it fresh on our 2 hour drive home! We have never had nicer service, better food, or a more pleasant experience dining out, and we travel all over and eat out regularly! I HIGHLY, highly, recommend ANYONE to try it out! Try the hummus and pita chips, they are extremely addictive! And their salad has a light, fresh dressing you can eat by the gallon!

Had the fattoush salad with chicken breast and was very happy with my meal. Large portion filled with lots of fresh veggies and chicken tasted great. My husband had the beef with rice meal. Portion seemed small for the price and tasted like most other arab restaurants. Customer service was great and the pecan caramel bar was delicious(but overpriced). Restaurant was very clean and nice looking, ingredients were fresh.

I work in the same strip that tahini is in and I go there literally every day for coffee/lunch. Awesome hummus, really good desserts, and really good spinach pies. The beef pie is amazing too. Oh and sometimes they have pizza around lunch time which is cool. Their prices are pretty good. Coffee is really good. It’s all just really good and everyone is really nice just go there

First off just want to say thanks to Sam, for bringing quality food to the area. Fresh steaming hot food that never ceases to amaze me. I’ve been here five times. Enough to give a five star review. Lunch time is poppin with people. Good time to come in. If you’re looking for good food, just come here. I swear you’ll find what you want. Kafta chicken. Is perhaps one of my favorites, try it, the amount of juices that will dripping from this bad boy will make anyone want more. Fresh bread everyday, I’ve had some fresh from the oven, and some that are so so. Still great recipe. For you foodies. Come here. Don’t be scared to try something new. Even if you don’t like the style of food. It’s food. So eat it.

Good food, good people. Food is tasty and the place is cute. I loved my experience here. They charge for garlic which i thought is ummm OK. An old lady who runs this place is soooo well mannered. Absolutely so adorable. Also I wish sandwiches could have been priced less than $ 5

This place is awesome. I used to work down the street I miss this place a ton. Ate there every other Friday for around a year. Every time it was a home run. Never a bad dish. Never bad service. Prices reasonable. Big selection.

I was pleasantly surprised. The food: awesome. Really delicious. We tried the Tahini signature pita as well as the chicken schwarma over rice with a side fatoush salad and the lentil soup. Everything was really delicious and well seasoned. The chicken was tender and flavorful and the signature pita had fun textures like toasted pine nuts. The fatoush salad was really good and the lentil soup also great. 2 pieces of fresh bread were also included. The restaurant: even though we got it to go, the restaurant was clean, tastefully decorated, and seemed like a nice casual place to eat in The service: Friendly service, family owned restaurant The price: Perfectly fine prices but not what I would call cheap or a value. Hence, the minus one star. 11.99 for the chicken schwarma meal and 7.99 for the signature pita. Again, totally reasonable and worth paying for plenty of times again in the future, just not«awesome deal» level is all. The bottom line: Seemingly authentic, delicious Mediterranean food in a nice atmosphere with great service and reasonable prices. Go– I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Really delicious Middle Eastern food. I had the chicken shwarma meal with sides of fattoush and hummus. All were outstanding and beautifully presented. The only complaint is that there wasn’t really enough bread. We had a total of 3 sides of hummus and a side of tahini pesto, as well as a cup of soup that came with bread, for 4 people. We got 9 mini rounds, which are about 3 inches around. Divided up, 2 mini rounds per side of hummus isn’t really enough. Next time(and there will be a next time!) I would just order an additional side of bread. Norma(one of the owners) helped me out, and she was just great. She explained that they focus on freshness and quality and, based on the taste, I definitely believe her. They even use biodegradable containers.

Outstanding food, huge portions and fantastic service. I had the Shwarma sandwich combo with fattoush and lentil soup. Everything was amazing and very fresh. This will be my new Mediterranean go to! The owner was very appreciative of my visit. Finished it off with a delicious chocolate biscotti.

I am relocating from out of the area and love that great Middle Eastern food is so refill available here. Tahini is a great example. I had the signature pita and it was fabulous. So big I had to take my sides home for a snack later on. The Tabouleh was very fresh and tasty and the red pepper humus is outstanding. I will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes.

Update-my sister says the sandwich she ordered that was so good was the Mujadera, which is stuffed with lentils, rice, caramelized onions, lettuce and tomato. Absolutely wonderful, especially since I am not a fan of lentils!

EXCELLENTFOOD! Seriously delicious chicken and salad dressing, made fresh to order. Did not love the price tag vs. the portion size(again, Sheesh wins in both categories) but the owner was super friendly and I did not leave stuffed, which, in hindsight I guess I appreciate. Would like to try it here again and get some more variety.

Tried this place today. Had the lamb kafta and was not impressed. I think the biggest problem with my dish was, it was cooked on the flat top griddle instead of the charbroiler. Whenever you are cooking meat, using a charbroiler makes a HUGE difference taste wise. The service was great and the place looked clean. I will be back to try it again.

The good: Food here is delicious. Definitely. Fresh baked, homemade, top notch quality. Well flavored. There is no denying the love and care they put into things. Service is friendly, no glitches to speak of. The bad: The portions. Definitely lunch. Not ever James sized. Garlic dip is NOT a side item, sorry. Hummus sure, baba yeah, garlic dip– NO. I need freaking garlic dip and by sacrificing another side choice to get it the overall value plummets here. Overall: I like it a lot for a place to go with my mom. Perfect luncheon for ladies. Still pissy about garlic dip counted as a side so not as frequent a stop as it would be otherwise.

Tahini has become my favorite go-to dinner spot after work. I eat dinner there at least two times per week. This area was really lacking a good Mediterranean restaurant until Tahini opened up. Tahini is a great family owned restaurant/bakery with excellent food and great service. I love how clean the restaurant is and how fresh and natural the ingredients taste. My favorite dish is the chicken shawarma meal over rice with a choice of two sides. If you are looking for fast, fresh, flavorful Mediterranean food in the Northville/Plymouth/Livonia area, Tahini is the spot to go.

Taking over the spot previously-occupied by Caribou Coffee, Tahini is a family-operated Middle Eastern restaurant. The skies were growing gray from the impending storm but the mood indoors was warm and sunny, a mood set by the welcoming owners. Tahini offers a variety of: salads; starters like hummus, garlic and yogurt dip; pita sandwiches; flatbreads; fresh-baked pizzas and Middle Eastern entrées in a fast-casual atmosphere. In addition, the refrigerated case offers yummy goodies, while shelves are loaded with meat, cheese, spinach and za’atar pitas and several tempting desserts. For lunch, I had the beef shawarma plate which was accompanied by a small salad and mezza, Mediterranean salad and baba ghanoush, respectively. The shawarma was nicely flavored on a large bed of rice. The baba ghanoush had a smoky flavor and nice texture while the salad was incredibly tasty. The latter two would have been perfect as entrées on their own, as delicious as they were. What stood out was the gracious staff/owner at this restaurant. They noted my curiosity and shared with me a sample of the za’atar pita and Tahini pesto, each of which had a distinctive and memorable flavor. I felt like an honored guest while enjoying the hospitality of this lovely family. I will definitely return.
