Great bar and great food. The staff is helpful and attentive not much else to say. Its a great joint!

The food here is not greasy at all — unlike much other Mexican restaurants — drinks are large and strong ! Everything is delicious! Needs more space for people waiting to be seated.

First time here and not our last! We had the combo meals and it was a great way to try several things at once. Hubby liked the rellino — potatoes was surprisingly good. Enjoyed it all. Can’t wait to come back to try more! Btw: the Corona-Rita is huge! Bring a friend to share or be prepared to exercise your liver.

Awesome Mexican restaurant! The food is dynamic and the atmosphere resembles that of somewhere in cancun. The rice in cheese sauce was cooked to perfection with heart shrimp and scallops. I will definitely be back

So we frequently come to this restaurant, for a while we came weekly. The service here sucks. Especially tonight… didn’t get chips and salsa till after our food arrived. That’s unacceptable at a Mexican restaurant.

Pros: Their food is amazing. Well, the chicken chimis are. Margaritas are delicious. Well poured. Cons: Sometimes their staff can be on the rude side. Most times they are not.

Good, consistent Mexican food can be hard to find, but this is one of the 2 Livonia Mexican restaurants that I like. Service is fast and friendly, chips and salsa are always hot and fresh, drinks are strong and tasty, and the fish tacos at killer. Seriously, I love this place. I love to see a local business doing phenomenal in this day and age! Parking can be challenging due to the other stores in the strip and the high volume of patrons during prime times. Try to come at an off peak time. Waits can get long fast! Come on your birthday for a fun time and a little treat!

We found this place by accident while looking online for something new. We hit the jackpot and have been back once more since then even though its a 30+ minute drive. The chips and salsa are wonderful. The margarita is Amazing. Tamales yummy!!! My only regret is i have been too full both times to order fried ice cream. Next time!

I’ve only had the chorizo burrito and it was very good. Hint of spice and very tasty. The salsa has a strong cilantro kick so if you don’t like cilantro like me then go for the cheese dip! My wife gets the fajitas and there really is alot. Maybe enough for 2 people! Very nice staff and clean overall. We have been there 4 times and it’s one of our favorite Mexican restaurants.

The ambiance of the joint made me feel like I was in a resort in the Mexican coast. The bar at least had that feel to it. The margaritas were very good too. The beer is cold and they have Modelo on tap. Yummy! Everything was pretty good except when our food arrives. They brung me something else that I didn’t order. I asked for the steak fajitas and gotten the chicken instead. That’s not a big deal to me. The waitress did offer to return the dish so the order can be corrected, but It’s not a big deal to me. What is a big deal is the food, our quacomole tasted very bland. The main event, same exact story. Neither did the fixins nor the salsa helped with the flavor. I guess I’m a bit of a snoot when it comes to Mexican food. Specially when your giant sign outside the establishment says AUTHENTICMEXICAN. This is more American than Mexican in my opinion. The service was top knotch, hence the extra star. Please tell the chef to taste his food. It’s rather upsetting, even for AMERICANMEXICAN standards. I’d rather eat at that restaurant synonymous to Shilly’s.

Great menu, not typical mexican with slop on plate. Homemade chips, warm Seperate salsa for each person. House Margaritas yummy, strong. Chicken chori– good, sweet from pineapple. U can tell that it is fresh, and very clean

I’m biased because I generally don’t like Mexican food. But I got a salad there. Ehhhhh. Husband ste some sort of skilley omelet thing and he liked it. Our friends swear it’s their favorite place. I’ll probably try it again an order something different. I’ll update.

My Dad recommended this place so we gave it a shot. We were able to get their private room which is nice if you are a big party of people. The server was very friendly and attentive and the margarita was pretty tasty. We had the fajitas, and they were good but not world changing. For a Mexican place in Livonia it’s not bad but it’s not super authentic.

Decent Mexican food for the price, but the ambiance of the restaurant is why I go back.

Oh my goodness… so good! I loved my shrimp fajitas, but I gotta say my hubs had a chorizo burrito and let me try a bite. Wow! I was completely eyeing his plate for the rest of the meal! Can’t wait to come back and try some chorizo again! We went at lunch time and it was super busy, but the service was awesome!

I only gave this 2 stars because of the service. The food is pretty typical of what you can get at other places. The waiter was great. However, the wait and other staff was awful. We waited over an hour and a half when we were told it would be a 45 min. wait. There was a family that came in after us and the father kept talking with the hostess and in 30 min they got seated. The father was rude and sat themselves before the hostess even took their buzzer or lead them to the booth. Over all it was not a good experience and we will never go back or recommend it to anyone. Find another Mexican place that has better staff and food!

I have mixed feelings on this place. For the most part it’s better than most«run of the mill» Mexican restaurants, but a lot of their seasonings seem just a little off to me. My biggest issues were not with the food but the general layout and management. The main(and only? I don’t know) bathroom is two stalls between both bars. For as big as this place is only having 2 stalls is cutting it close especially when the bathroom needs some tlc during high traffic times. My other issue with the place is that they don’t take reservations, which is apparently per management. Not even call ahead same day seating. We were told to arrive 20 mins to 30 mins before we wanted to sit down for dinner. We waited in the bar section: the total time our party was waiting was 45 minutes. We were a hinderance for foot traffic because we were a large party(14+). It seems like a bother to the staff and other patrons to not allow call ahead seating — especially for groups over 10. Once our large group was seated there was ample space for us, servers, and the guests around us. On the plus side the drinks were good and there is a large variety to choose from including a list of what’s on tap. The prices were average with some things being a great value and others being a splurge. Per a Unilocal recommendation we tried the chori queso, which was good but big enough to split with 5 or 6. Being one of the few sit down places along that strip I think it’s worth a stop in. I’m sure everyone would find something they want to try. Yum tacos!

Very good food, very reasonable prices. This place is always packed for a reason! Everything from the salsa, the chips, the appetizers(botana) to the quesadilla(chicken and shrimp are very good quality and well seasoned). Staff is friendly, and it generally comes to about 10 per person, definitely worth the price.

Excellent service the past two times that we’ve gone, in a two week period. Lunch on Friday-, packed— 5pm n Friday packed — even when we left at 7, still packed! Lol The food was much better than previous visits– for awhile here seemed to be several issues with correct orders, food prep and service– but these last two times– everything was great– Love the botana supreme(definitely enough for 2 – 3 meals) — lots of chicken and cooked perfectly. Love the suiza chicken enchiladas— the burrito grande is huge and enough for two meals — the steak and chicken cooked perfectly– just needs more cheese chips hot and fresh– salsa was weak and watery on Friday night, but today it thicker(still bland) but I add from the bottles on the table. Drinks are gooooooood! House margaritas $ 4 happy hour will kick your butt(, or I’m a light weight) perfect strong and yummy! $ 4 being the second best part of it. The tequila tropical delicious but $ 10!!! And I didn’t even have a buzz!!! They’ve made improvements so. Might put this back on our rotation
