I was really very pleased with my recent dealings with Harris Funeral Homes. About a year ago we saw that my mother’s time was nearing and end and we did some research. My sister had been to about five places that she thought were nice, so she called them and we thought their costs were reasonable.
When the day came, it was very sudden and we were asked to immediately designate a funeral home. My mother had died in her apartment and would remain there until a funeral home retrieved her! We gave the police officer the name of Harris Funeral Home and they showed up in a very reasonable timeframe.
We dealt with Dave Cash, the manager, over the next several days. Dave was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, nimble, responsive, sensitive and easy to work with. I was talking to him several times a day on many details and he was always very accommodating. One of the days was his day off, but Sue fielded my calls and she was also most helpful and accommodating.
We bought the standard package and it was all-​inclusive and not out of line in terms of cost. And there was no nickel-​diming. In fact, at the end I was surprised to learn that they recorded the whole funeral service and I received a DVD. We were thrilled as the service exceeded our expectations and we were glad to have a copy of it.
My whole family was very pleased with the facility, and with the entire staff. I’m sure we will use them again as other members of our family move on to the next life.

We used Harris Funeral Home for my mother’s funeral services just recently. I cannot say enough good things about them. They guided us through this very sad time with such care, and made everything surprisingly smooth and effortless. The rooms are comfortable and inviting, and we were proud to have our mother’s viewing here. Providing memory boards and producing a really nice DVD of photos to play in the room and in the lounge was a great touch. Everyone we worked with was so accessible and kind, professional and efficient. It was a pleasure working with them.
