Such a friendly atmosphere AND awesome burgers AND good beer selection. You HAVE to try the Poundies, you won’t be disappointed. Best part – our kids love it, too! The staff is the best, making us feel welcome and they are so hospitable.

Serious dive. Like smells like beer is soaked in the carpet. And the carpet is old, the tables are old, there’s a layer of beer and grease and who knows what else on the old chairs. And I must say– we went the Sunday afternoon/evening of Memorial Day weekend, and the service was okay, it’s a family spot. And we were with my husband and some of his friends so we were laughing and being loud and just wanted to hang out. And we could totally do that there! Plus have beer and some really really really good burgers. Like possibly some of the best burgers we’ve ever had ever. No seriously– in this outdated dive bar, in nowheresville Livermore! My husband went for it and got the Bronson and then for the rest of the night, while we walked around downtown Livermore looking for any place that serves coffee, all he kept talking about was how he wanted another burger. I got the regular burger, also delicious. They know how to cook ‘em medium rare and get a good crust on ‘em. If you can get through the dive-ness of it it’s a great lil place.

I like hamburgers and whenever I go to a new place to eat. I like to order the hamburger the server believes is the best, I had some bad experiences with some places but so far this is one of my favorites, I was with my mother and sister and they both enjoyed the food. I was very surprised to even my picky sister loved it here she had fish and chips. My mom had the steak she loved it, it was seasoned to perfection. The service was great and the server better then most places I been to.

Made a reservation online for this place for Father’s Day last Sunday. Received a confirmation email of the reservation and confirmation text. Upon arrival, they had no record of the reservation. Didn’t matter, was able to be seated anyway as the place wasn’t super full. They promptly took drink and then food orders but then we were presented with the check before we’d even received our food because our server thought we’d already gotten our food from the kitchen. This was really odd, I’ve never had this happen before. Everyone thought the burgers were good, the rest of the food was mediocre. I asked for a glass of water once, it was never brought out. They brought out a pitcher of water later, and I again asked for a glass, again it wasn’t brought out. I ended up having to pour water in my used beer glass after not getting a proper clean glass. No one ever asked us if we wanted a refill on beers and they were in a hurry to get us out of there even though the place was pretty empty at the tail end of our lunch. Service is poor and they really don’t care about their customers, at least from what I could see. Would not recommend.

Came in from traveling all day and found this delight of a grill/pub! The burgers were so fresh, flavorful & there was a great variety. Price was equivocal to the food purchased and if you come on Tuesdays and Wednesday’s, kids under 12 eat free! YUM! Skip the chains and head to this spot for a cold one and some great food! I should not fail to mention that the staff was superb.

Literally the best burger I have ever had. Be sure to try the sweat potato fries with Siracha ketchup too — and then wash it all down with one of the many cold beers!

Undoubtedly one of the best burgers you can get in Livermore California. The wait staff works hard usually in a Solo mission. The owner sits in front of the TV oblivious to the hard work his team puts in. It’s a shame that such a great location with a great setup can be brought down by it aging owner with no Drive. Even his grandson and Friends sit at the bar drinking for free. When someone speaks up about how hard the bartender’s work family members verbally attacked the customers. This is not the Livermore that I know. 38 years old I’m too old to step outside because I think the owner should take more ownership of his business. Still it is hard to beat the Bronson Burger exclamation point

I’m conflicted… Like, a lot! Our server wasn’t horrible, but she almost sucked. Our food was decent, but there were a few mishaps along the way. I say it’s okay and I’m guessing we may give it another try… but we might not too. After helping the Lil move, we were all pretty hungry from the drive to the heavy lifting. I used Unilocal to see some highly rated spots around her new casa and a burger and fries just sounded on par for the occasion. I think we walked in the side door, but from where we were coming this was the closest parking lot and access. We entered in an entryway where the bathrooms were, which lead to the bar area. Crowded because of the Warriors in their playoff berth. We maneuvered our way through the loud basketball watchers and made a quick right turn at the old car and skeleton hanging out. The staff was busy behind a long bar area and really didn’t go out of their way to seat us or tell us what to do upon entering. We kinda just found a table that would fit all six of us. This should have been an indication of our meal would go. The service was slow and spotty. They had patrons and not a lot of servers, from what I could tell. We spent a lot of time waiting around, while also watching sports on a variety of their copious amount of TVs in their establishment. I’d list out what everyone ordered, but that would be a lot to deal with. So let’s start with the problems: Nachos — We ordered the pork nachos, because they were out of carne asada. When they arrived, they looked like they would be good. However, whatever salsa they put on top was ice cold. Not just out of the fridge cold, but ice, frozen(Elsa & Anna) cold! It made almost all of the nachos cold, because the liquid was all over everything. I even asked our server about this and she really didn’t have an accurate response to why it was so cold. Caprese Style Grilled Cheese — I can’t find an accurate menu to write the actual name, but it was basically a Caprese grilled cheese with a couple cheeses, tomatoes, basil, and reduced balsamic drizzled on the plate. The problem is, it came out 30 minutes or so after all the other food. We aren’t sure why, but by the time it came out, everyone was done with their meal. The server did comp this item, since only ¼ was tasted. J and I shared the It Ain’T Much if It Ain’T Dutch — Holland imported Gouda, beer battered onion wedge, bacon, BBQ, mayo, pickle. No substitutions! We shared this and the nachos. I asked for the BBQ may on the side. The burger was really good, the onion wedge was too much. It was literally a wedge of an onion, not onion rings. Too much onion, for sure. The melted Gouda was amazing. The fries were extra crispy and went well with the ranch. The kids cheeseburger was a good portion, even slightly large for a lovebug. The hamburger patties were seasoned deliciously, which meant that it didn’t need much to make the burger tasty. Dad ordered the special NY steak and it was okay. Decent flavor, cooked how he ordered it, but a little pricey for this spot. He also ordered the chocolate shake, but apparently they were out of chocolate syrup, so he ordered the Strawberry shake. He didn’t like the taste, said it was too fake tasting, just syrup and ice cream — nothing real about it. Thank goodness for the various amounts of sports on, or else we would have really noticed how long the food took and how poorly the service was. I’m not sure if our server was bad, just not aware of her time or her customers. We almost felt bad, but for the price point, service needs to be better. Use sports as a distraction and it isn’t too bad…

My husband and I tried out this place during one of our bimonthly date nights. There weren’t that many people at first around 6pm, but the place began to fill up as 7pm approached closer. By the time it was 7:30pm, The Rock House was completely packed despite it being a Wednesday night(the Warriors game most likely contributed to this). Service was not bad but you would have to be assertive about getting your tab or check. Only because there were only two people working and there was probably 30+ people in the room. California King($ 15) — Gigantic serving. Interesting take with the beer battered onion wedge. A bit too much bacon. Perfect amount of sauce. Mushroom Burger($ 13) — Enormous helping as well. Comes with your choice of fries. Tip: Check in with Unilocal and receive $ 5 off any menu item!

There’s only one Rock in Livermore and that’s the Rock House! I wanted a steak for lunch and initially went to place that also had a «rock» name. Left that place only to come across another Rock place. I was so upset with the quality of steak at Castle Rock, I left in limbo and wanted to rectify the mistake i made. So, went across the way, low and behold the Rock House«Rocked it». Don the Man from the Bar was so gracious and served up the best New York steak with garlic steak fries I had in a long time. Keep Rockin it «Rock House» From the Tesla Guy!!!

This is going to be a harsh review, but here’s the deal, I use this site as a guide when traveling and this is NOT a four star experience. Hopefully this will help balance the accuracy of this restaurant’s reality when dining here. Not many pro’s from my experience the one and only time I’ll ever make this spot happen in my life. I didn’t get sick from my salmon salad and the waiter who checked on us and took our orders were the only beams of light. That isn’t saying much when trying to enjoy a meal out. We arrived through the back door, which is fine it seems you seat yourself. We picked the only open table(seemed like a good sign) but it was dirty. So we waited by it for a bit before I grabbed the cleaning rag and finally cleaned it so we could sit. Another 5 or so minutes goes by before menus are brought over for us to review. The menu I saw online and what was presented was slightly different but no big deal. My menu was dirty with food bits from another diner, just sayin. We each ordered salads and water. Fairly simple order as it was late and we didn’t want a heavy meal before our ½ marathon the next day. My friend had one revision to her order and it took almost 15 minutes for the kitchen to add grilled chicken to a salad. When she asked about it one of the waiters felt it prudent to point out the chicken needs to be cooked. However her salad was sitting there and ready for who knows how long. I guess when the staff is too busy taking previous diners glasses of untouched wine from the tables and drinking it openly in the restaurant behind the bar it is too much to ask for them to do their job and actually serve customers with a little courtesy. Dirty, mostly rude staff, and disgusting habits not hidden from public. I’m scared to know what happens that we don’t see?! Never again.

I really wanted a burger when we were passing through Livermore, so The Rock House came up when I searched and they have a mass of really insane burgers on the menu. Really dark and depressing inside; kinda dated. We got take-out. Club Sandwich: Not double-deckered or even cut in half, though was on big delicious pieces of sourdough and the turkey on it was real, not lunch meat. Burger w/pineapple: Unsure of the name, as it’s no on their online menu. My man found to be delicious. The meat they use for the patties is tasty. House-made potato chips: Delicious, but lacking salt Wings: Not enough spice, flavor, or quantity of sauce for our taste, though they were good quality wings and baked well. Side Salad: I ordered this with my burger, but somehow they thought I meant in addition to fries(which weren’t good), so I was displeased to find I got both. The side salad is $ 5 on the menu, but I got about $ 2 worth. The tarragon vinaigrette was flavorless. Over $ 40 for everything was way more than I wanted to pay, but whatever. I was full afterwards. Probably won’t be back.

My friends and I started coming to the Rock House to watch football on Sundays instead of our previous go-to spot in Danville that tended to be cramped with slow service. I have never received such friendly service at a restaurant! Our waiter saw our football jerseys and brought us to a spacious area with good views of all their TVs. The manager was also walking around talking to guests, and came by our table only to then give us the biggest table in the middle of the room after the previous guests sitting there left. Throughout our visit there he always went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our food. I got a Chicken Caprese sandwich and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of chicken they added. The bread was also thick and did not feel soggy with all the fillings. The pesto sauce used was flavorful and went well with the mozzarella and basil. A couple friends ordered burgers and were also super satisfied with both the amount of food they received for the price and how tasty it was. Even though we were new customers that just discovered this place, we always felt like regulars. I know we will be back to the Rock House plenty more times for football season again!

They have CAMPFIRESTOUT! When The Ale House FAILS to deliver my favorite beer, My boyfriend and I went on an adventure in searched of the Illusive Campfire Stout. We ended up at the RockHouse. Cool selection of brews, but I absolutely loved my Campfire Stout. We had a nice bartender/waiter, hit everyone at the bar, although there were only maybe 5 of us. The atmosphere was a little drab… kind of dark, 5 or 6TV’s had some the games playing which was nice, but for me it was not great feng shui in general [It’d be nice if it was a little bit more lively and open]

I have been comming here faithfully for a year or more and have always had fantastic food and service. But in the last couple of months it seems like the quality of food and the portions continue to shrink. I used to see the owner cooking all the time but rarely see her anymore so I believe there is no quality control comming out of the kitchen. I can’t keep track of who manages the floor anymore there seems to be a new manager everytime I go in. But I will say this my friends and i are loyal so we will continue to frequent this establishment hoping it improves again soon.

I saw such great reviews on Unilocal,so I had to try this place. I arrived around 8pm on a weekday, and it wasn’t that crowded. I ordered the Alamo with garlic fries. I was so hungry, so I felt like the service was suboptimal. Waiter service is nice and everything, but I felt like he was a little distracted so I was a little impatient. As for the food, it’s good but I wouldn’t give it four stars. The burger is okay, it’s not as good as other burger places. The garlic fries aren’t bad. It’s probably not a place I’ll return to.

This place is REALLYREALLY good. I thought there wasn’t a must go to place when you go to Livermore until now… This place is amazing. If it were closer, I’d seriously have problems. My GF and I were heading to the outlets for a day of shopping but we needed to eat first. Since we started making our own burgers at home we haven’t gone out to eat burgers in a while. We decided to try out this place and we were not disappointed. Food: 3⁄3 Yeah, it was amazing. I got the Dutch burger which I believe is named after the sauce witch is some kind of garlic aoli? Don’t quote me on that. But man it came out and it was delicious. Buns-just a vessel to hold everything together but it was just right. Barely thick enough soak up all the juices, but not taking away from the burger. Patty– cooked amazingly well. Seasoned very well and tasted like it was never frozen. It was awesome! Bacon– Usually, the bacon takes away from the rest of the burger because of the extreme saltiness, but not in this birger. It added texture and a slight saltiness to otherwise mostly sweet burger. There were other elements of the burger as well, but it’s kind of a flavor bomb in your mouth with every bite. I highly recommend it! The fries!!! Amazing! I opted for the garlic fries and man, they were good. Usually garlic fries are soggy or just not fried very well. These fries are amazing. I think my gf actually preferred the fries over the actual burger but she also really liked hers. Service/atmosphere: 1⁄1 As we walked in, we were greeted with someone who we later find out is named Don. He told us to sit anywhere and was very friendly when taking our order. The atmosphere was great for me. It’s actually a sports bar, so there were tvs all around and had different sports on. If I lived in the area more often, I’d probably go watch the warriors here. Value: 0.75÷1 For the two of us I think our bill came out to around $ 34 after tax and tip. For what we got, I was extremely satisfied. I was full and we had fries left over to heat up later that day to eat! Overall, would I come here again? Almost a must if I’m in the area. The burgers and fries are delicious and the the atmosphere is just what I like. Good service and delicious food. What more can you ask for?

Came here with a group of friends and overall, we had a good experience. We were a little surprised that they didn’t seem prepared at all for our reservation for our group, but thankfully the place wasn’t busy at all on a Wednesday night and they had plenty of room to seat us. We got some appetizers(poundies and calamari), which were pretty good but a little pricey in my opinion. I ended up ordering the mushroom burger, which was pretty good. Decently sized, nice and greasy, what you’d expect from a burger. A couple of my friends got the Farmers Daughter(fried chicken sandwich) and I’d have to say I’d order that if I went back as it was absolutely huge and they enjoyed it.

So, we stopped here on a whim about 6 months ago. We were craving burgers after wine tasting and this place was recommended by the wine staff at a local Livermore winery. It is kind of a dark bar-pub-like place in the corner of a strip mall. Unassuming, and we didn’t expect much, outside of the recommendations. OMG! It was freaking amazing. We had a «The Gonz» burger(cream cheese, jalepenos, and bacon, jalepeno aioli) and a «It ain’t much if it ain’t Dutch» Gouda, BBQ, bacon, beer battered onion rings)…both we fan-freaking-tastic. In fact, the Gonz was probably one of the best burgers I ever had in my life(and it wasn’t the day-drinking wine talking). We raved and raved and raved about this place to where we couldn’t wait to go back. So, our next trip to Livermore wineries, we made sure to stop for burgers again. However, the burger we loved so much was no longer on the menu. We asked our server about it(forgetting the name, so we only gave he a description) and he looked befuddled. He said he was only there two weeks and had no clue about the old menu. We were sad and disheartended. This burger was EVERYTHING! So, the server brought out an old man from the kitchen. I don’t know if this guy was the owner, the cook, or came with the building. But, he knew EXACTLY which burger we were talking about: The GONZ! We told him they HAVE to bring it back. He said he would see what he could do. If they bring that burger back into rotation, I will up my review to 5 stars, It was THATGOOD! PS…(Oh, and the pub fries are pretty bomb as well). Try those out if you aren’t ordering burgers, which already come with regular fries.

Another out of town soccer weekend brings us back to this establishment. Great food and service. I called on a Saturday night to make a reservation for 20. We were greeted by Garrett who was setting up our tables. The cutest man«Barney» the owner brought us house made potato chips and a mayo/malt vinegar dipping sauce complimentary. Very nice, Thank you Barney. Drinks and orders were placed separated by 5 families. Everyone seemed very satisfied with their food. Jailhouse Rock burger didn’t disappoint the hubby. I ordered the Pub Fries!!! Glad I did, the braised beef, gravy, and white cheese fries unbelievably delish. It’s on the shareables but could be your meal with the house rock salad made with the yummiest goat cheese and spring mix, walnuts and cranberries-balsamic dressing is awesome! Our party brought own bottles of wine and that was fine. The Ace Pear Cider was served icey cold in a frosted glass. Light and refreshing two pitchers later. Eat here.

Holy moly, Rock House’s burgers are unbelievably delicious. BF and I ordered the following: –The Bronson(Medium rare beef patty, Smoked pork belly, sliced cheddar, cilantro, onions, tomatoes, bbq sauce, & Jalapeño aioli) –The Bronson is definitely a meat lover’s burger. The burger was delicious, but I personally don’t care for meat overload combinations. The pork belly was great — fatty, savory, and amazing. I’d imagine the pork belly would be presented as pulled pork, but nope, it was 2 thick moist slices of pork belly. Insert mental image of drooling mouth here. You really can’t go wrong with the Bronson, but I would advise it’s a mouthful of meat. –The Surfin’ Cow(medium rare beef patty, pineapple, bacon, sliced cheddar, tomato, Sriracha ketchup, & lettuce spring mix) –The Surfin’ Cow was probably my favorite between the two since there were different flavors working together in each bite and moderate amount of meat, veggies, and fruit. The pineapple added a sweet and refreshing touch, the bacon added a pleasant crunch, and the Siracha Ketchup added a flavorful mild heat. So fracking good. –Garlic Fries — It wasn’t packed with garlic chopped pieces, but I didn’t mind it since I did not want garlic breath. –Sweet Potatoes Fries — Basic, crispy, and good. However, the portion was small compared to the garlic fries. Additional Things I enjoyed: –We asked to have the burgers cut in halves so we can sample each burger with ease, and they had no problem doing that for us. –The patties were cooked to true medium rare, just the way I love it. –friendly consistent service — our waitress was always checking on us, making sure we were fully supplied for our meal. Overall, I enjoyed my food and will definitely be back if I’m ever in the area.

This is a great hang out bar and gill for Livermore regulars. The wines and beers are reasonably priced and there are plenty of choices. The folks running the place were very Livermore like, meaning small town friendly and somewhat folksy. The farmers daughter fried chicken burger was huge and the slaw was tangy and excellent. I had the Alamo burger and it was very good. The peanut butter burger was unusual and very good as was the fish and chips. The mac and cheese also gets an honorable mention. The owner’s mother came out near the end of our visit and handed out cupcakes. Now who does that?

After waiting over an hour for fish & chips, a burger, salad, and macaroni and cheese we finally asked if our food would be arriving soon. If not we wanted our bill for the sodas. Suddenly the food appeared on the table with icicles hanging off the chips. Our food had been sitting on the counter for a very long time. Apparently the table, with ten people, who arrived after us ordering beers was more important than a small family. I guess they felt like serving beers would get a bigger tip? We told them to take the fish and chips back and they brought a new plate in less than a minute. So someone else now had to wait for their food. The owners wife asked my daughter if she’d like her macaroni heated up in the microwave. Are you kidding me right now? Really? We could have bought frozen macaroni at the store and had our dinner in five minutes or less. Who tells a patron they will heat their food in a microwave? The only saving grace here was they did give us a discount on our meal(most went straight in garbage) and a coupon for a future visit. It will take some time for my memory to fade enough to come back and use the coupon.

Food is really good here but the service is hit and miss. I am sitting here as I write this review and no one has approached me for 40 minutes to ask me if I would like to order some food! THANKGOD, I have a HELLAHOPPY from Altamont Brewery in front of me !!! My leprosy is in remission(just kidding!) — so there is no reason to not to take my order! The bar area is half empty now during second half of RAIDER game so maybe I will be saved before I starve from lack of food. Eaten here dozen plus times — by far the worst experience with service! How I miss SARAH!

We had not been to the Rock House in years. After reading a few of the Unilocal reviews, we decided to give it a try. Note that my review is of the bar and grill, not the restaurant next door. That place has the absolute weirdest floor plan ever. We were pleasantly surprised. It was remodeled at some point, it is huge, although the old car in the lobby is a little weird. I would have given 5 stars, but there is a funky bar smell– probably the carpeting needs to need cleaned. The food was so yummy, that the funky smell didn’t bother me enough to turn me away. The service was fabulous, everybody was friendly and knowledgeable. The burgers are not frozen here, they are a fresh grind of their own mixture of several cuts of beef. You can really tell the difference when your burger is fresh. The beer was very cold, not just cold, very cold. Yes! My husband ordered the Rising Sun burger, complete with a fried egg, ginger & jalapeño jam; it was the bomb. He devoured it. I had the Drive In burger– your basic cheeseburger with their own classic sauce– juicy burger, crisp lettuce, toasted bun. So good. Much better than First Street Alehouse burgers. After many years of driving by the Rock House Pub, we will stop more often. They have interesting salads and sandwiches. The chef embraces her own creations and her love for a delicious burger is evident! If you want cookie cutter food, go else where. You won’t be happy here. The chef actually gets to use her mind, what refreshing change!

Burger + beer at the Rock House = a recipe for a good night. I loved their beer selection– it’s great that they support local breweries! My friends and I shared several pitchers of their Hella Hoppy(WOW, does this beer pack a punch. Luckily we walked there hah.) and a burger each. Their burgers are ENORMOUS. Unless you’re out of your mind starving, I recommend sharing with an amigo. I had the Bronson and nearly passed out afterwards, I was so satisfyingly full. That smoked pork belly is everything. Amurca! I also love that they are dog-friendly. Thanks for making sure our pup had adequate water throughout dinner :)

The Rock House is the real deal. Ok, it’s not downtown, but it’s run by people who know beer and food. We’ve been there several times(thank you Unilocal for the recommendation). The beer selection is really good. They tend to feature local beers which is really good, but they always seem to have one I haven’t had yet. The folks there are what I call«beer folks», they are laid back, know their stuff and are generally fun to see. It’s worth it just to stop there for a cool beer or two. But, what about the food? A beer place needs good food. And guess what, they have awesome burgers and other goodies. In the few visits we’ve had, the food has always surprised us at how good it is. They take the time to cook it right. It’s not some processed meat sandwich. It’s a nicely prepared meal. I’ve never walked out of there thinking it was just ok. It’s always been, wow… what a nice meal. Here’s a hint, try the specialty ketchups. I really like the curry ketchup. Will I be back? Heck yeah. This place is great. Good job folks!

If you want a chill place to watch a game and grab a beer then this is probably your kind of place. Want a killer Burger? Eh. not so much. I had really high hopes for the food after seeing the amazing pictures and reading the rave reviews, hell I didn’t even mind the prospect of paying $ 15 for a Burger yet when it came down to it both my Husband and I left wishing we had gone to Five Guys. My Husbands first disappointment came at the Beer list as there was nothing he really liked. Granted he is a bit of a picky drinker and we had to laugh at the fact they import Boddingtons. This is what we call the Hershey’s of Beer. Anyhow, we order our Burgers plus a portion of Pub Fries to start as we hadn’t eaten in around 11 hours( ). A good sized portion with a huge amount of Garlic(love!) and chunky bits of Meat. Both of our Burgers arrive and they also come with Fries. I kind of wish they had the Burgers a la carte as there was no way either of us were going to eat them too. My Drive Through Burger ) was a good size. The bun was fresh and I enjoyed the mix of Lettuce, meat itself was thick yet lacking seasoning. My Husband also confirmed that his Burger lacked seasoning too and opting for The Rising Sun( ) which was supposed to be spicy with Sriracha Ketchup had no heat at all, I tasted some of the ketchup and have to agree. Our server was attentive and kept our drinks filled throughout,. *TIP* Check in the the Unilocal app for $ 5 off. One check in offer per table.

Came here after a long day of outlet mall shopping. Good bar food, nothing crazy different but the portions are big. Ordered the fish and chips, fries were really good, fish was huge but the bread in was kind of weird. Just solid and super crunky. Group ordered burgers which both claimed were good, and a chipotle salad which she said was okay. It’s nothing fancy but was good for what we needed.

ARRGGHH. I so badly want to give The Rock House a 4th star but I just can’t. While I still really enjoy the food, the service and atmosphere have yet to improve. Last night I ordered the Poundies($ 10) and they were decadent and delicious. You really can’t go wrong with house made potato chips topped with braised pork and other goodies. Unfortunately, the issues outnumbered the quality of the food: –BUGS. I killed two bugs at my table. Unacceptable. And, with the dimly lit room, who knows how many more of them were buzzing around? And I don’t even want to think about one landing in my food and me eating it… –Service. It took way too long to get my beer. I flagged the waiter down after a while and he said they had to change the keg. Okay, that’s fine, just inform me! –Cleanliness: One of the first impressions of a restaurant is the menu. Warped, paper menu? Please no. From now on, it’ll be to-go orders only. Darn.

Rockhouse still has good burgers, but a recent visit left a bad taste in my mouth. I decided to come on a Sunday afternoon a little after 1:30 thinking I’d just miss the lunch crowd, but it was packed! I ended up having to sit at the bar. No one acknowledged us for 15 minutes so I decided to say something and it took another 15 minutes for someone to come and take our food order, which was one drive thru burger. I waited almost 45 minutes before flagging down another person because within that time, there were a bunch of burgers that sat at the counter and very few of them were brought to tables. And it really shouldn’t take that long to make a burger. So a staff person checked for my order of my one burger and it never got made. He quotes«it’ll take 5 more minutes». Guess what happens 5 min later?! Still no burger! Here’s what really left a bad taste in my mouth, the guy offers me a Rising Sun burger that was just chilling on the counter for the longest time because the kitchen staff made an extra one that no one ordered. That wasn’t the burger we wanted either so we waited, and waited til our drive thru burger finally came. We spent a whopping 2 hours waiting for our one burger to be made and took almost 5 minutes to devour the plate. I won’t even explain how long it took for someone to give us our bill… there was so much miscommunication going on and I still can’t believe I wasted an entire afternoon here.
