Working hard to bring the craft cocktail movement to Livermore. Authentic ingredients– great price.

I really like this place — good food, good drinks, good times! I recommend it to anyone looking for a place to hang out on a Saturday afternoon or evening.

This place is so hipster but their fries and drinks are amazing. I was only here for a short while(a round of drinks with friends) but I’d love to come back.

Great location, service, and ambiance; however, a bit pricey. $ 30 for two drinks!!! Didn’t try the food, but the menu had a good selection and some tasty sounding bites. We will be back in the near future to update review.

It’s worth finding this bar if you like something a little different. Great cocktails in a non-pretentious setting. The bar staff know their stuff and are very friendly. We went back for a second visit, which is unusual for us as we like to keep trying new places. So I class that as a good recommendation.

This is one of our favorite bars in Livermore. It has a groovy feel of the roaring 20’s. Their cocktails are all unique. We have had several items on their menu and all have been excellent. This place is really small so if coming with a large group you should arrive early or make a reservation.

Great selection of artisanal cocktails and nice place to go before or after the theatre. Particularly like the old fashioned selection, but I generally goal with the traditional version with an orange garnish and generous block of square ice. I’d like it if they could take some of the long tables out to remove the barricades and open up more space. Tips: Relatively small space and it gets crowded, so consider making a reservation. Free indoor parking across the street from Cream.

LOVE this place. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. The cocktails are delicious including all homemade ingredients and specialty spirits. They make everything in-house. The food is good, but mostly for snacking. The butternut squash wontons and deviled eggs are some family favorites. Great for a date or meeting for a quiet drink with friends. Speakeasy environment with a homey feel.

Swanky drinks and delicious bites? Sign me up. With a lengthy list of intriguing cocktails, old fashioned’s, and a uniquely decorated interior, The Last Word has to be one of my favorite late night gastropubs in the east bay. They have a wall with cool chalk graffiti that has changed every time I’ve been there, and a top-notch wall of spirits and beers behind the bartenders. There’s even a small couch-like area in the corner, where you can enjoy your drinks(and small bites too) with someone on a couch which makes for a more cozy setting than sitting across from them. With dim lighting and the warmth of the place, this place is perfect for your chill Friday night out, where you’re too restless to stay at home, but too laid-back to party. The drinks are yummy and the small bites are delicious, see below. HIGHLYRECOMMENDEDDRINKS: — Cucumber Gimlet: I’ve only recently acquired a taste for gin, and the cucumber gimlet is a beautifully green, refreshing taste of gin and classiness that I would strongly consider ordering again, if it weren’t for my curiosity to try the other cocktails. — Revolver: Bourbon, coffee, and oranges? Sounds like a NY breakfast gone bad, but tempting, yes it is. Try it for yourself if you’re a bourbon lover :) HIGHLYRECOMMENDEDPLATES: — chicken and waffle sliders: I don’t know what magical panko crust they put on their chicken, but it’s bomb dot com and if you’re going to eat anything at The Last Word, it better be this dish. portions come in three, but you can order a portion of four(charged extra of course). — carnitas tacos –lamb chops –charcuterie plate: if you like sweeter meats and cheese, this plate is perfect for you. My boyfriend isn’t fond of the sweetness, so he didn’t like it as much as I did, but this is a good two person plate to share. WOULDNOTRECOMMEND: –the chicken sliders: they arrived wet in the buns because the sauces were placed onto the buns too soon before it arrived to our table, making a sloppy wet chicken slider that wasn’t as great as it should have been. –the burger: the second time we came here, we ordered this, and the bun was wet also. 4⁄5 stars for ambiance, drinks, and small bites, but they could use some work in the plating department in regards to those wet buns. Nobody likes wet buns :( Will be coming back, but not too soon. The food menu is small and short, and I’m hoping to try new things! Until then, stay yummy!

Went in on Saturday. Drinks and food were decent. Service was lacking from a couple of the staff. We were met with a rude bartender, who was apparently the manager, we later discovered. We were taking off our jackets and getting purses arranged at the bar when this particular bartender told us to pretty much figure it out and to make sure we leave room for other patrons. There was a third joining us and so I told her we would but that there were three of us. Once seated she ignored us and another bar tender, who was great actually, had to take our drink order. When our third arrived he had a bit of an altercation with the bartender manager person. I’ll admit, he could have said please when he asked for a second beer but she didn’t have to school him the way she did in front of the whole bar. It was classless. She did it again a second time when he asked the second bartender and she heard he didn’t say please. It made all of us uncomfortable. I’m thinking the guy in our group, who we don’t know that well, was so uncomfortable that he got pretty wasted because of it. Some advice, maybe have a manager on staff who keeps order and doesn’t treat the customers like ish.

One of our favorite spots for a cocktail and bite. The staff is amazing and the drinks speak for themselves. You owe it to yourself to try this place and see for yourself. No review can do it justice. I love the classic Fitzgerald and my boyfriend loves the old fashion, revolver, spaghetti western and so many more! The burger is to die for! Literally the best burger in town! Also the chips and dip is fantastic. Cheers!

The address is wrong it’s 4270 not 2470 Great food good great service! Sliders were amazing! This place was very quaint! Very small not great if you have a large group unless the weather is nice and outdoor seating is available.

I was a bit bummed that they only had a brunch menu on weekends — I was looking forward to some of the things on their other menu — oh well. The Salad on a Flatbread was really good. Beer selection could have been more substantial but they made cocktails awesome like.

Service: 4⁄5 Stars Waiters /waitresses were Pretty attentive. Lost a star because they forgot about one of our food orders. But they are giving it to us for Free now because it’s their mistake for forgetting :) Drinks: Mint mojito: 5⁄5 stars I NEVER had a mint mojito where it’s ALLGREEN !! must be some kind of flavor syrup or something. But it’s good because I don’t like my drinks strong unless it’s a Shot. :) Food: Mini Cheese board: 4⁄5 stars Delicious !! Only thing that threw it off was the syrup that was under the cheese. Maybe it was honey??? Bowl of Fries: 3⁄5 Salty and not as crispy as I’d hoped it be. Bacon grilled cheese sandwich: 3⁄5 Flavorful. But wasn’t satisfying because the red onion jam takes away the cheesy flavor

Great cocktail selection! They’ve got them all written on the wall in chalk with the ingredients and some fun pictures. We visited on the 4th of July after fireworks in a large group, and they did a great job of serving all of us. We all got a few drinks and shared some sides of fries. The fries were addicting — crispy and well seasoned. Definitely enjoyed the drink I got — the southside. And, it was on happy hour for $ 5! Would order again! Excellent service and made sure to split our check up accordingly without any hesitation. Love when places will do this — makes paying so much easier! Although our group was a little loud that evening, the waiter didn’t miss a beat and kept us all happy. The Last Word is a little small, and I feel like our large group was lucky to have been seated so quickly. If in downtown livermore, it’s worth a stop by!

David David David We were a pain, but you(well done) dealt with our every want. This place is great super trendy but amazing. The staff is tits. And I don’t meaning that in a stacked lady bartender/strip club way. I mean the staff cares! If your drink isn’t perfect just ask. They want you to love it. They rule the roost of happy patrons. Well done this place. Well done :)

Craft cocktails at its finest! Seriously though. They have some amazing drinks. Access to some of the best liquor around plus everything else is pretty much made in-house(bitters, juices, etc.) equals a fabulous night of drinks and good times. I’ve only had the pleasure of trying the cocktail menu, but the food here sounds pretty fantastic as well. It’s definitely a place to sit back and relax and sip your drink. The service is great and super helpful. Don’t know what you want exactly? Ask your server or give them a descriptor about the types of drinks you normally like and they’ll gladly give you a suggestion for something you’re bound to like. They are well-trained to help you choose a drink! A definite go-to in downtown Livermore.

Well well well! Went here with my friends for them to grab some appetizers. I had already eaten, so I joined along and decided to Unilocal to those that are interested in trying this place out! The food looks phebomenal! I was thoroughly crushed that I had eaten before we got here because it all looked amazing! My friends(6 of them) ALL loved their apps. The sausage bites were good. The chicken and waffles looked amazing!!! Oh my, I can’t wait to get my hands and tummy on that dish! I also heard great things about the chicken sliders. AND, they also ordered two desserts. Bananas foster and these Italian doughnut type things. Both were a little rich. I’m More of the savory type of eater. **update!!!*** Ate here last night! Had to change my review to five stars. This place is so good! I’m just in love with their menu. The chicken and waffles were the perfect combination of sweet and savory combined. The squirt of sriracha is the perfect kick. Also ate their spicy pork taco. It was three dollars(kinda pricy for something gone in two bites). The pork was flavorful and yummy. Also, a salsa verde/guac salsa was its topping… to die! I changed my stars because of the food, but I was a tad disappointed with their customer service. I had to ask for more water and flag down my server bc he wasn’t coming around to help. That was the only part of the experience I didn’t like! Can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu!

Got taken here yesterday for my 21st birthday! It’s across from Bankhead, and next to Paxti’s. It’s pretty easy to miss since there is one small door; but inside it’s cozy and decorated in an «olde fashioned» kind of way. And with good company and my first«Fitzgerald», I can easily say I had a really good time. I’m not a fan of sweet drinks at all, but this one was pretty refreshing and tasted a little like grapefruit(although there was no grapefruit in it). They have a drink with grapefruit, and even one with cucumber! But for now I have to add them to my repertoire in the near future. Our server was really nice :-) he had a cute little kid following him around; adorable! Very attentive and the drinks came out fast. I’m really digging the suspenders everyone is wearing here! Pretty swanky — good vibes. Drinks are on the expensive side, of course. But they seem to be worth a try. I’m glad I did :-)

I’d never been here before. The people inside always looked like they were having fun, though, and my friend swears by this place, so today, after dinner at the Riata, we came here to give this place a try. Let’s list off some of the deets: The staff is very friendly. It’s crazy busy inside so sometimes it takes a while for them to get back to you, but considering the number of patrons inside(and some of them were very demanding) I think they did a pretty good job about checking in. The cocktails are done Prohibition style, everything is made from scratch and they use high quality alcohol for the drinks. They are on the pricey side, though. My friend and I both ordered one of the specialty cocktails and they were $ 11 each. I had the Boothby originally, which is a Manhattan with bubbles, and my friend got the«Bobbing for Mescal.» My Manhattan was too strong and my friend didn’t realize that the BfM was going to be chock-full of cinnamon, so we ended up swapping drinks. I described the«Bobbing for Mescal» as, «It’s like someone accidentally left their apple pie in a glass of booze, and was like, oh wait, I found the pie. But it’s dissolved now. Oh well, bottom’s up!» We ended up ordering some appetizers as well, even though we were still pretty full from our dinner. We each got a plate of bacon wrapped dates. THEYWERESOFILLING, OHMYGOD. Apparently my friend meant for us to share a plate, but I was kind of tipsy by that point because I bobbed for my Mescal too quickly, and I said, «Oh, I’ll have one too!» as the waiter was walking away. LOL, whoops. They dropped one of my friend’s bacon wrapped dates and gave us an extra plate of three dates to make up for it, which I thought was incredibly sweet. Neither of us had room for the dates, so they ended up coming home with me in a little box along with the remainder of my own dates. I can safely say that three of those dates didn’t make it through the night: they were too delicious for their own good. I liked The Last Word. It gets crazy busy at night so you might have to wait a while to actually get a seat, and usually you’re squeezing into yours as soon as someone leaves so that can be a little awkward. It’s not cheap, but this isn’t the type of place I’d come to all the time– it’s more of a special occasion type place, like for a girls’ night, or a big date, or a birthday. I’d come here again!
