There is no point in making an apt because the facility calls people in the order they get there. Other quest facilities I have been to have a separate line for those with an appointment can move along quicker. This place does not which is frustrating to wait especially when you are fasting and have a newborn to nurse.

It’s 9AM and they’re already«1 or 2» hours behind, even with an appointment. Go elsewhere unless you really have no choice.

No need to fast when you go to this facility. Eat a nice big meal with your family, go to the waiting area and wait and wait and wait. By the time you get to a phlebotomist the 12 hour fast period will have elapsed and you’ll be good to go. My wife and I went in together on a Saturday morning at 8:30AM. The waiting room already had 15 to 20 people waiting. The receptionist is a clipboard sitting on the counter. We both signed in and that’s when time froze. After 20 minutes one person walked out and the first name was called since our arrival. They disappeared to the back room, another 20 minutes elapsed and another person was released by a different person. Before the worker could retreat to the back room a person ran up and asked how long it would be. Standard reply:“20 minutes”, but then added«we only have three phlebotomists on today.» So we waited some more and the Three Phlebotomist Staff cranked out a third blood drawn patient and the fourth name was called. So let’s see… That’s 3 blood draws in an hour, divide 3 into the 12 to 15 people ahead of us and you get a 4 to 5 hour wait and a blown Saturday. My wife looked at me with that«Let’s get the hell outta here» look and we bailed. I’d try this place again, but from reading the other reviews I saw that this is the norm so I’ll probably just go to the hospital and get it done there. I see why they have no receptionist. Anyone working there would have little to do and would be continually badgered by people asking how much longer. The clipboard and working phlebotomists are your receptionist. If you go to this facility bring some games, magazines, or other entertainment. You’ll need it!

Worst Customer Service ever… My doctor asked me to drop in and do fasting blood work. I have the paperwork and I drop in. Sign the log and sit down and WAIT!!! I waited and waited and waited and waited and waited. The lobby was FULL. No one was sitting at the front desk, no one came out and said sorry for the wait, we’re backed up, we’re short staffed, or we’re extremely busy taking care of clients who made appointments and the rest of you dummies that didn’t make an appointment can just sit here and WAITSOMEMORE!!! I said this was a fasting blood test so that means I hadn’t eaten. So after waiting for 70 minutes, I check the list and there are 5 people ahead of me, who also didn’t make appointments, and needed to be seen. I could not wait any longer for fear of passing out from hunger and needing to take my insulin. Whatever happen to folks coming to the lab, pulling a number, waiting for a brief period of time to have your number called and you labs completed??? So what Quest here in Livermore is telling me, is that if I don’t make an appointment I won’t get seen in a timely fashion. They are telling me that my time is not valuable to them. I could have driven to my drs office in Oakland, signed in, waited oh, 10 minutes tops for the lab tech to call me in, do my labs and been back home in under the 70 minutes that I wasted sitting in the Livermore location which is 5 minutes away from my home… hmmm! I feel sorry for those folks that come over do to labs because they are sick. The way you’re doing business now is horrifying. If you have nothing else to do and your phone is charged to 100% and you just want to waste some time, go to Quest in Livermore!

I seem to be the anomaly for rating this facility 5 stars. But with the two visits I’ve had there in the past couple weeks, I was seen before my appointment time. Each visit I had a different phlebotomist and they both were very kind and knowledgable. I was in and out each time in less than 15 minutes. I’ve been to other Quests(one in Walnut Creek and one by Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton) and the Livermore one is by far the best experience I’ve had.

This facility seems a bit unorganized and the staff seem completely bothered to be working here. When I walked in there was no receptionist just a sign in sheet and children were running around wild. A large customer came in and couldn’t even find a seat to accommodate her size being a healthcare facility you would think they’d make adjustments. Absolutely dislike it here, the vibe the staff give off is hateful.

I don’t mind going into Quest for myself. I didn’t have a great experience with my newborn babies in there. One of my babies was poked several times. It broke my heart. They could not get the blood out. They then after a few pokes warmed their foot. But as for me and my oldest child a teen they are great. I think the staff is very nice. They get better and better at what they do. So for adults and teens I give them an A+ for babies maybe warm their little foot ask your doctor for a warming pad so you don’t have the same experience.

Wow you can’t even make an appointment by calling, what about seniors who don’t have computers and need the most tests. Geez…

I have had two bad experiences with this facility and will not be returning. The first was for myself, I made an appointment and still had to wait a half an hour past that to be seen. The staff was unfriendly and seemed bothered by having to even be there. The second was with my newborn. He needed a blood test and because he is not two weeks of age he could not be around other people. I requested to wait in a room in the back and with an attitude I was told that they didn’t have anywhere for me to wait away from other people. He had to wait in the heat outside the office, and that appointment time passed, and left us waiting 25 minutes longer to be seen. When we were taken back, there were at least 4 empty waiting rooms that we could’ve waited in. The technician herself was very nice, the receptionist was once again bothered by even being there. I will not be returning to this facility.
