Over an hour after promising to send a tow truck in 20 – 30 minutes, the dispatcher called me back to say no one was coming. The dispatcher wanted me to write down the number of another company that might be available. Well, being stranded on the side of busy Stanley Boulevard between Livermore and Pleasanton, I wasn’t exactly prepared to jot down a number. When I asked him to call for me, he did – he called a company in Concord that was unwilling to come that far. I was surprised that a towing company could be so cavalier about following through on a call for an emergency tow.

I got a flat tire today while headed back to work from lunch. I pulled over to try and take care of it, but I didn’t have the right lug wrench to take off the lug nuts. I was one exit away from work… what to do? Called my State Farm agent and asked if I had the Roadside Service option. I do? Might as well make use of it since I paid for it. Saved me the trouble of getting all dirty. Gordon & Son’s showed up about the time that they said they would(30 min) so I didn’t have to wait long. Took the guy about 10 min to swap tires for me. Plus, I didn’t have to fork out any money… they send the bill straight to State Farm. Don’t laugh at my dirty spare.
