Really really good wine !! Bought about 6 bottles but the push for joining the wine club is really really persistent it kind of put us off. They constantly push membership and remind us of what we are missing out if we don’t join. Will be back to taste, but please tell your staff that pushing membership is kinda off putting. But the wine is delish.

It’s been very difficult for me to find a winery in Livermore that I really enjoy. Typically the wine is weak with any tannins but Darcie Kent brings some definite flavor to their wine. The tasting room is decorated in all purple, with purple paintings, furniture, even the dress code is purple. I blended right in with my purple sweater during our first tasting experience here. The woman pouring our all red tasting was extremely friendly and knowledgable which made the visit that much more worth while. My favorites were the merlot and cab but all of them were pretty good. We will definitely be back to try more of what the winery has to offer.

What a cute little winery! My friend and I went here for the first time this past Sunday for Holiday in the Vineyards. The building itself is very stylish and wine tasting can be done as a seated service such as in a restaurant. I was really impressed with this clever approach to wine tasting: seems like it would be a really comfortable way to taste at this winery even if it were really busy. The flights are $ 10 or $ 15 depending on what you choose, but they also allow you to build a custom tasting flight around your preferences, which in my case is Chardonnays. In total, I tried four Chardonnays here and bought a bottle of their most oaky Chardonnay, which is my personal favorite. There is an outside patio seating area that looks right out on one of their vineyards. It was one of the most beautiful and relaxing wine tasting experiences I’ve ever had. The inside of the winery is also very lovely with an appealing purple theme and the owner’s art displayed on the wall. I’m excited to go back here again with more of our friends.

A wino’s dream. Darcie Kent has some delicious wine, friendly staff, great scenery and clean bathrooms. What more do you need? Tastings were $ 10 or $ 15 depending on the list you choose. They let my friend(who really loves chardonnay-nay-nay) try their 3 different varieties, plus a few other wines for the $ 10 price. Needless to say, she was thrilled. Then we got a few more samplings since we were there for the Holidays in the Vineyards event! My friend got a bottle, and I’m sure we will be visiting again soon. The place itself has a cute little interior, complete with gorgeous Darcie Kent original art, plus a front yard with tables and a back deck that overlooks the vineyards. Seriously, what’s not to love?

Beautiful property that used to be home to the old cedar mountain winery. A giant eucalyptus tree at the foot of the property shows you the way in. Not only does Darcie Kent have great wine but it’s also affordable! They could charge way more because the wine is that good, but they don’t. The staff is super friendly, the tasting room is so cozy and relaxing and the view from the porch is one of my favorite views ever.

Love the wine, like the place but I am totally opposed to the political visitors that have pictures on the wall. Went for the wine and that is what is important.

Wow what a find! Honestly I have never been a fan of any of the Livermore wineries that I have tried. Until now. My last straw, I thought was Ruby Hill Winery and the lousy experience we had there. Last Saturday wife and I were out in the Livermore Valley looking at granite for our new kitchen and it was such a beautiful day I thought let“s try one more winery and see if we have any luck. Thanks to Unilocalers we found Darcie Kent. They do a sit down tasting with table service, and we were lucky enough to get Danielle, who took us through their portfolio of wines. Welcoming attitude, fantastic wines, and a great price point for the quality. Yes, we were so impressed, we joined the club right there and then.

Love this place! We’ve been there with friends, our kids and our dog. So relaxing. Everyone is friendly. We had the opportunity to meet Darcie Kent while she was doing a painting there. Absolutely lovely lady. This wine is my favorite. We joined the club about a year ago and we continue to enjoy it. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

My fiancé and I visited for the first time today, and we became members! The wines are AMAZING and so reasonably priced. We’re big fans of wine and this is the first winery at which we’ve become members. It’s just different from many, it’s not high-pressure, sales-motivated, the deals are amazing. We’re so excited about the upcoming events, and we can’t wait to visit again! Thank you to the staff at Darice Kent.

We stumbled on this place and decided to give it a try. The inside décor is beautiful and the artwork is by the winery owner. The purple accents are so pretty. We were seated outside and a staff member brought us our flights. We tried one regular flights one of the upgrades flights. I saw the price listing and was afraid it would be that great… the wines are all so reasonably priced compared to others in the area. Boy, was I wrong. …the wines were AMAZING. We sat with the beautiful vineyard in the background and sipped our wine on that beautiful day and absolutely fell in love with the place. We decided to immediately become members. They were even having aa 50% off sale for members on 1 list of wine so we purchased 6 with the discount. Such a steal! I can’t wait to go back for the next event there. :)

On our first visit to Darcie Kent, my mother and I loved this winery so much that we joined the membership right away. Five days later we came back with friends because we wanted to tell the whole world about it! Besides the numerous perks of membership(really, it’s an amazing deal), the superstar staff convinced us to be long-term members of Darcie Kent. We were served by Diane and Gregg on our two visits, and they were extremely knowledgeable about not only wine itself, but also the wine business in California. I learned something new and cool about wine from every conversation I had with Diane and Gregg. Also, they were such fun and down-to-earth people! Not a hint of pretentiousness here — now that’s rare. Highly recommend spending an afternoon here. One tip: pack something to eat! You’ll want to taste all their gorgeous wines, and it’s a better experience when your stomach is not eating away at you. Cheers!

This is my favorite winery in Livermore. I like it so much that I joined the club last time I was here. Wines are great and the tasting room is cozy and comfortable. When the weather is nice, they have outdoor seating and it’s really nice to sit and do your tasting outside.

Darcie Kent offers a relaxed tasting room with tables and sofas. There’s art on the walls and vibrant colors. There are two outdoor areas to enjoy wine when the weather’s nice. Pick your favorite spot and an employee brings wines to you one at a time. At other wineries this arrangement results in poor service, but at Darcie Kent our server paced our tasting really well. He was personable and was happy to spend a few minutes discussing each wine as he poured it. Price-wise, this winery offers some great bargains on cases and half cases of its lesser wines.

Came here for a friends bday tasting. It was really nice. Beautiful art work(one with actual gold in it) and a great atmosphere. The woman who served us was funny and sweet. Very enjoyable!

Consider this four and a half stars. Good wine and reasonably priced by Livermore standards. A very nice tasting room and friendly staff. I would put them a notch below Steven Kent or McGrail but a solid choice if you’re tasting in Livermore. Darcie Kent has been around a while but feels like an up and comer and having broken away from Concannon and The Wine Group, is one to get to know.

My friend is a member here and raves about it, so we checked it out together. Off the bat, the tasting room and winery are set in a pretty calming environment; there is a patio with some picnic tables and it’s facing the hillside. A nice plus because it felt home-y and relaxing, not uptight or pretentious like many other wineries. Wine was delicious; unique and with very distinct notes at the same time. I especially liked the Sauvignon Blanc that had the jalapeño and peppery notes! Needless to say, I became a member myself after the experience at Darcie Kent.

Shall we dance? On a bright cloud of music Shall we fly? Shall we dance? Shall we then say goodnight and mean goodbye? — Rodgers and Hammerstein, «Shall We Dance», best version by Stacey Kent Sidney Does the East Bay Wineries Part IX — The Suburban Portion Darcie Kent winery started as a small family operation in 1996 that was focused on small lot, single vineyard wines. they used to be located at Concannon Winery but at the beginning of 2013 they acquired the Cedar Mountain Winery and began renovating the property. I stopped in after I visited Concannon based on a Huffington Post article of 12 wines in Livermore you need to drink now(Darcie Kent’s Gruner Veltliner was listed). The tasting room at the new location can be a bit confusing to find as the entry is a sliding glass door to a home on the property. Definitely more signage is needed as I wasn’t the only one wandering around but a tasting room worker spotted me soon enough. The tasting room is, well, tastefully decorated with the paintings of Darcie. Livermore Impressionism might be the best description for her work as the main theme of the paintings seem to be the open spaces and landscapes of the surrounding area. If you like the cow pics I took at Harvey Bear County Park, there is a cute cow painting Darcie did that reminded exactly of the expressions I captured. The tasting experience is formal as one person will lead you through each bottle. Besides the above mentioned Gruner, Darcie is also known for making a nice Merlot and other varietals such as Sauvingon Blanc, Chardonnay, Bordeaux blends, field blends, Syrah, Petite Syrah and Cabernet. Prices are reasonable as befitting the area and the tasting fee is waived with purchase. The wines are balanced, very food friendly and are not the typical overblown wines that most casual drinkers like. The Gruner is indeed a lovely white that with French food two months later was an excellent wine to start off with. I also enjoyed the Merlot, again balanced and complex, and the other wines poured. The tasting is a bit overly formal and some travelers may not like that. The people who were wandering with me to find the entry door left after only a couple of glasses. I tried to get my server to laugh but there is definitely a script they follow here. However, I enjoyed the wines, the setting and the art work. They have seating outside so you can bring snacks if you’d like. A small winery with good prices and good wines! Recommended :)
