I would probably rate the service as ‘Horrible’, but I couldn’t get service… so I’m not sure. We arrived at this store at about 6:30 on a Saturday evening. We wanted to find and buy some nice men’s cologne. The escalator to the upper floor was broken, but that wasn’t a terrible. thing. What irks me is that we stood, paced, and basically loitered in the men’s cologne department for over TWENTY minutes. No help was around… we couldn’t even find anyone to help on the upper level. We’ll try Nordstrom’s and see if they want our money.

This is absolutely the was Macy’s I’ve been in my whole life there rude and slow. I would never return to a Macy store again ever.

Beautiful clothes and accessories, but a little pricey. I’m willing to put up with a little clutter at JC Penney’s to save a few bucks.

Everyone here is incredibly nice. The shoe saleslady was especially helpful. She deserves a medal considering how many times she had to run to the back to find the right size for me(in addition to the five other people there that day). My feet are small, so it is hard to find the correct fit. This Macy’s orders the right size for you and ships to the store if they don’t have it in stock. They also tell you about the sales deals and offers great suggestions. The Mac cosmetics department was also very friendly. Normally, I feel a bit uncomfortable when buying Mac products in store because of the sales people. The girls at this store are very down to earth and offer up great suggestions. I was looking for a specific color of lipstick, and they were able to match me with the right shade. Overall– amazing customer service. It’s one of the reasons why I love to shop here so often.

Macy’s shoe department at Southwest Plaza: The selection is eh to so-so, but the service I received today was outstanding and I got a great deal to boot!(Go ahead — groan.) In spite of a lackluster spread, I found a fabulous 5″ BCBG peep-toe plat that I could go on and on(and on) about, but I’ll wipe the drool off my chin and just get on with the review. I know the shoe-peeps work on commission, but they don’t always provide the best service(see my other shoe dept. reviews if you’re so inclined); today, however, I was treated like a princess and left quite satisfied. As far as the store as a whole, it’s pretty bad. In fact, the whole mall is pretty bad. Really bad. All of it. Even the Gap. They don’t even have a Strabucks. Okay, I’m done. So — five stars for the service I received today and one star for the store — an average of three.
