I have been a customer here since they opened, likely 10+ years. I have always looked passed the dirty dining areas — heck it’s ice cream right? Unique to my situation, I always order a banana blizzard with a little bit of chocolate ice cream dip — with a little twist– I bring my own Reese’s Pieces (since they don’t have them). I always make sure they are in a brand new package unopened — bringing open food would be wrong right? Tonight I received the nasty end of the stick from the Manager Jessica — instead of pleasantly stating we cannot do that — I got the whole health code thing. If health code was the issue, please take a look at the bathrooms and under the finger nails of most of the employees please.
I have done this no less than 30 times at this location without an issue. Ruined it if one long standing customer — likely is has been ruined for many more.

Boooooooooooo! This visit started with a long line. I put an emphasis on «line» because there appeared to be two. After waiting in the one that «seemed» shorter, we found it was the pick-​up line even though there was a register there. We got blizzards and ordered them to-​go. They didn’t come with lids and when we asked for lids, they smashed them on and got ice cream everywhere and didn’t even bother to wipe it off the sides of the cup. The service started off on the rude side but after we asked them to make the lid /​spilled ice cream situation right, they were more friendly and accommodating. With all the other ice cream shops in the area, I’ll check around next time before deciding on this location.

I ordered an ice cream cake online and it was ready and perfect when they promised. The counter staff wasn’t super excited to be there but it is winter in Denver and I can’t say I blame them. No matter what, though, a smile won’t kill ya…
It’s a Dairy Queen in suburbia. And that’s all I have to say about that.

Maybe I came at a bad time, but the line was long and only one person waiting on the customers. Poor staffing, but good ice cream.

I know there are recipes for the sweet treats at DQ. So in theory, if I order the same blizzard here that I order at my usual DQ, it will taste exactly the same… Not the case. They skimped on the banana cream pie powered that goes into the blizzard and it just wasn’t the same.
Full disclosure — I still ate it. :)
