If you want to avoid the rush and crowdedness of Flushing, this is the spot for some good authentic dim sum. When you drive by this place on the Horace Harding expressway you will probably think less of this place, but damn this place has some of the best dim sum dishes around(comparing to flushing or Chinatown). Parking in the rear, but can get crowded during weekend brunch times. About 30 tables that are for groups or couples. Coming here on a Sunday at 2pm. fresh steamed dimsum in the carts are still coming out non stop from the kitchen. Lots of dumplings, rice rolls, beef balls, beef stomach, spare ribs. Service is fast and quick. Waiters and push carters are very attentive. Prices are affordable, about $ 2 — $ 6 per dimsum dish depending on size and speciality. Can’t believe I spent $ 40 on dim sum here for two people with tip, but well worth it.

So there’s nothing really special about this place other than it offers dim sum in a convenient place away from the madness of downtown Flushing. They offer only standard dim sum selection. There’s nothing fancy offered here like some other places such as Asian Jewels or Lake Pavilion. If you come on the weekends, the carts come around more often. Be prepared to wait as people run around in a frenzy to get people seated. Dim sum is also offered on the weekdays, but only 1 lady goes around. It’s a slow process and you have to wait forever to get food. It sucks but like I said, it’s better than going to downtown Flushing. I added a star since there’s parking in the back(good luck finding a space on the weekends though). Also, most of the cart ladies here are friendly and speak English, unlike some other places.

Sunday morning brunch w family. 4 stars was for service, food was ordinary, so only 3 stars. 7 of us stayed longer than usual maybe 2 – 3 hours instead of 1 hour bc we brought a small birthday cake. They brought plates for us and never rushed us out even though there were short lines of families at the door. The ladies tried to explain the dishes to me, luckily my mom in law understood them. They continued to bring lots of tea and explained that the bamboo dishes were charged as a large size and I think the small white dishes are small or medium size. Lots of parking in back.

Here with the family for dim sum as you can see the kids loved it and so did the wife and I. We also had sesame chicken and shrimp. Fun eating. Location is great right off the LIE made it easy for us to get there from where we live and the parking in the rear made that a nonissue. Recommended by an Asian coworker and Otis a great recommendation. Also went to the market next door. Will definitely go back.

Excellent dim sum but the health grade ratings aren’t always good and often read pending. We have stopped going and started going to Northern Manor instead. If it was cleaner we probably would have continued to go for dim sum.

I’ve been to several dim sum places around New York, and this joint does not measure up to some of the other ones that I have been to. The up side was that it was opened very early so I was able to eat before heading out. The selection was slim. One of my favorite things to get at dim sum is the fried dough wrapped in a rice roll. They only had two plates of those, so I didn’t bother to wait for more to come out. Also, this is the first time I have seen cold egg tarts. Maybe I’m just not used to it, but I prefer the normal hot ones. I want to come here and try their regular food. I came too early last time so wasn’t able to order things from the menu. Hopefully, my experience will be better next time.

This is my go to dim sum place on the weekend. It’s easy to park and a supermarket next to it. The food is decent. Service is getting better these days.

Good food and service, many choices. However some parts of the restaurant can be dirty and dim sum hours are very hectic dining in and taking out.

We had previously come here near opening time for dim sum for the mandatory stop after each visiting to the(nearby) cemetery. This time, we were looking for a place in the suburbs not too far from the funeral home that had parking and could handle a flexible number of patrons in line with our Chinese custom of inviting anyone at the funeral home or at the end of the burial to join us for a meal. Four of us had dinner Wednesday night to try the dinner menu, and to negotiate the remaining meals. Also, my wife speaks just enough Toisanese to make herself understood with«Sam», their best English speaker. Fortunately Unilocal’s listed interrupted hours with afternoon closing shift between 3:30 and 5:00 pm are wrong, as we needed a meal between viewings ending at 4:30 and restarting at 7:00 pm, plus a meal after a return from a burial in Upstate NY sometime on a Friday afternoon. It ended up, we had two tables of 9 or 10 at about 5 pm on both nights, but it was a quiet time and they could have handled more if necessary. They also knew after the Wednesday discussion, not to use the normal pink cloth napkins, but white paper napkins, in line with Chinese custom. As for the menu items, our son likes salt fish(Hom Nguy), so we tried a casserole of salt fish, chicken, and eggplant on Wednesday. We liked it so much that we had it also on Thursday. We had the shrimp, walnuts, and broccoli dish on Thursday, and the double lobsters on Friday. We had white rice on Thursday and Yang Chow(they spell it differently) Fried Rice on Friday. We should have had boiled chicken on Thursday, we didn’t notice it on the menu, and my wife prefers fried chicken anyway, so we had a whole fried chicken at each table on both Thursday and Friday. They don’t serve it with shrimp chips, which most people don’t eat anyway. On Friday, we had a pumpkin soup with fish maw, which we liked. We also had beef chow foon dry fried, one of our late Mother’s favorite dishes. On Thursday my wife had given them the menu for Friday minus the count of tables, and asked for red bean soup for dessert. He said they don’t do red bean soup in the summertime. We called in our table count and estimated time of arrival as the funeral bus neared the Throgs Neck bridge. The Friday meal came quickly, and at the end, included red bean soup, as well as orange slices, also served on the previous meals. Someone said the red beans were undercooked; I imagine in the wintertime they just have a big pot of it cooking continuously. Total cost was under a thousand dollars, less than if we had chosen a set menu, but we could control for allergies(I can’t eat mushrooms). On Friday I had offered a bigger tip, but only accepted $ 70.

Whenever you walk into a Chinese restaurant and over 90% of the patrons there are also Chinese, that’s a good sign you’re in the right place! That’s always the case when I eat at Pine Court for dim sum. As someone who grew up on this kind of food, I can tell you it rivals that of more established Asian communities such as Flushing and Chinatown. Try to get there early on a weekend morning though. Anything after 12noon, and you’re almost guaranteed a long wait! So if you’ve got a hankering for some good old-fashion Chinese dim sum, definitely pay this place a visit.

My family and their friends come here almost every weekend for dim sum; sometimes I reluctantly tag along. The food here is decent but I noticed that the taste and consistency has degraded a bit over the years. Don’t let my last statement deter you though; the food is still pretty solid(especially for a location outside of Flushing). Another thing to note is that they do have a huge parking lot in the back. Definitely check this place out if you are looking for some decent dim sum and want to avoid the crowd and headaches in Flushing.

Pine Court is a solid choice for dim sum. I’m not saying the dim sum is that amazing but it’s not bad. In all honesty, I don’t find dim sum in New York to be amazing at all. However, if you’re looking for the full cart experience without the insanity of Flushing; good place to go. Easy parking, right off the LIE and you can get your food shopping done at NY Mart right after.

Nothing different or special about the actual food for dimsum but what’s great is there’s(almost) always a table right away, or just a 5 – 10 min wait and parking is decent with the lot. It’s quite big for Long Island and not crowded. They’re friendly too. Besides the norm, they make a good chive dumpling and egg custard bun.

For people wanting to stay clear of the Flushing area wanting decent Chinese food, this place may not be the best you’ve ever had but dare I say it’s worth trying if you are trying to stay closer East outside of the circus shit show that is Flushing Chinatown on the weekends. Their dim sum is a few notches above maybe decent and my recent dinner experience was also surprisingly good. It looks small but does hold large-ish groups comfortably.

Small dimsum place outside of Flushing. The upside is there is parking in the back. This place is right next to an Asian mart so on typical shopping days(ie Saturday), parking is limited. The dimsum place is small compared to Flushing counterparts and the choices are limited but not as limited as I thought they would be after reading other peoples reviews. There’s still a good 20 or is different dishes and perhaps more that I didn’t see. Typical standard dim sum. Nothing bad but nothing special. The service is sh! t. Period. If you want anything you have to really grab someone attention and ask for it. They will not take care of things for you. So yes, every tea refill, every empty dish that needs to be picked up, every plate filled with bones, every cup that you want etc… All service related things you have to make a good effort to actually get their attention in order for it to be taken care of. I don’t mind but this is just a heads up for all those who want to come. It does become a hassle after an hour of doing so. Unilocal has it that this place takes reservations, however that is false. They do not take reservations, even in cases of large parties. We actually made a reservation for ~12 people for the inside room and when we arrived, the room was given to others…

Dim Sum Review: Pros: –Decent dim sum in the Douglaston area –Relatively quick to be seated –Tons of parking in the back(This was the biggest +++) I avoid flushing solely for this reason. Cons: –Small Dim Sum place. I think the cart ladies have a hard time maneuvering around. There were times where I just got up and went over to them. I couldn’t starve my niece and nephew. =) –Lacks variety in terms of dim sum compared to Flushing alternatives.

For a Sunday brunch, this is one of few places in Queens with 1) parking, 2) seating for 2 ppl. Not bad if you want to avoid Flushing crowds and the noise and are not coming with a group. Spacious enough to enjoy your dim sum without feeling hounded upon. They don’t have much variety of dim sum, besides the typical expected chicken feet(which I think needed more flavor), ha cheurn(shrimp in rice noodle), shu mai, har gow, etc.

Pine Court — popular for its location, both Queens and Long Islanders can meet up here easily. Its conveniently next to a chinese supermarket but both the Supermarket and Pine Court have a reputation amongst asians for being unclean. Prices are great. The food at Pine Court is great but also loaded with MSG. Dim Sum cart pushers are in fact, a bit pushy themselves. I would still continue to come back because of it’s location but given the option of any other location, I would choose the other. * Google maps puts you in the wrong location. Look for the complex with New York Mart Chinese Supermarket.

Dim sum review. This is perhaps the only dim sum restaurant in all of Queens that doesn’t require that much waiting and does not have any issues with parking because it’s not smack in the middle of Downtown Flushing. Food: the dim sum items that actually made its way to our table were actually quite good. The problem is that there may be a bit of mismanagement at this place because the food simply doesn’t come out fast enough, nor is there enough variety. Service: not that great in the sense that this place is slightly mismanaged. There were empty tables but we had to wait, which is very odd for a Chinese dim sum restaurant. There were also issues with the dim sum service(above). Try not to sit near the tables by the front door because the dim sum comes out from the kitchen, which is near where the rear entrance is! Décor: there are televisions, but who’s watching?
