Will never go here again. Brought a picture in of how I wanted my haircut. The woman ended up cutting it too short an did not hear what I was saying. One side was shorter than the other. the only one in this salon who has any knowledge of cutting hair is the owner Danny and Jim who left. They are only good for blow outs. I even tipped her. Now I know why it is always empty

I needed a new fix and decided to stop in for color. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I was treated with the best service. I was offered coffee, checked on frequently and most importantly, I wasn’t sold a false hair dream. We all know when dieng hair, it never comes the exact color as a picture, but what they did sure came close! I have never left a salon without crying afterwards it miserably trying to fix my hair at home. This was the first time I walked out ready to enjoy my day. I went from a dark brown/​black to an ombré. These guys really know what they are doing. They hair an eye for this type of work. Not only was I please with their service, the prices are fair and I felt like I was hanging out with people I’ve known for years. Awesome place!

Great little place. read the reviews on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. I’ve been looking for a long time for a good hair cutter. I set up an appt. with Daniel and he is great, cuts in a unique way. He listened and respected all that I said and then created a really nice haircut. I left there liking my haircut which is not my norm. I am going back for sure.

This is my first Unilocal review and I have decided to use it for Daniel Lynn Hair Salon in Little Ferry, NJ. I came in with multi colored highlights and tremendous breakage from being over processed and had chunks of hair that broke off to 1 inch in length. Naturally I am a level 3 (dark brown) and I had blonde highlights. I scheduled my appointment asking for either Daniel or Charlie. I requested a single process and foil highlights and the salon scheduled me with Daniel. When I walked in I was greeted by friendly staff and Daniel who examined my hair and saw the tragic breakage and multitude of colors I had in my hair. Daniel asked me what I had in my hair prior to the highlighting to assure there was no chemical processes that may have caused this damage. I explained to him that I had only color in my hair (no henna or perms or Japanese/​Brazilian straighteners). He asked me what I was looking to achieve as he continued to examine my hair trying to figure out what went wrong that could have caused the results I had prior to coming to Daniel Lynn Salon.
At that time I was greeted by Charlie (who is hysterical– very funny) and he too looked at my hair and was shocked that such damage occurred to my hair. You can tell that both Daniel and Charlie are very knowledgeable about color, chemical processes, and array of services. It was not a gimmick to obtain money for additional services — they are truly just aware of what is out there in the industry and are not trying to sell you anything!
Daniel mixed the formula and began to meticulously place each foil in my hair. He continued to monitor my hair to assure it was processing correctly and carefully checked to see it was not over processing.
Bottom line I walked out with even color throughout my hair — no additional breakage– and a wonderful experience. Thank you Daniel for fixing my hair and making it look like HAIR!!! The staff is very friendly and accommodating which makes you feel like you are at home. I now found my new go to spot as I trust my color in the hands of these professionals.

This is by far the best hair salon I have ever been to in 22 years. I found this salon through Unilocal and contemplated for a few weeks to make an appointment. My only regret was not making it sooner.
From making the appointment on the phone to walking out of the door after my cut was an amazing experience. Charlie was extremely welcoming from the moment I walked in the door, which automatically made me comfortable (I’ve felt very awkward and ignored at many salons when walking through the door).
While getting my hair washed, Charlie explained everything that he was using, which I’ll definitely be buying when I color my hair!
As far as the haircut, I knew what I wanted going in there, but because of how comfortable I felt with Charlie, I told him a few times to do whatever he thought was best. Many hairdressers are scissor happy and Charlie is definitely not one of them. My hair was uneven and had many split ends, but Charlie fixed that all with long layers and only taking a few inches off. He showed me how much he would be taking off before he started cutting my hair, so I already had an idea of what to expect. He explained the products that he was putting into my hair and also recommended some, but I didn’t feel like he was being pushy like I’ve felt at other salons, which will make me want to purchase these products next time I go.
I explained how in the future I wanted blonde balayage, but wasn’t sure how it would look because I do have a spot of hair that is growing back from brain surgery and he assured me that it would work and showed me the spot where he would start it so it would blend fine. Charlie was so filled with knowledge and I will be back sooner than I thought.
Overall, this was the best experience and I am so happy I found this salon.

I found out about Daniel Lynn salon last to last year while looking for a trustworthy place to get a haircut. I have long hair and I am extremely choosy as to who I want as my hair stylist. I was really impressed with Dan haircut. Since, then I have been a regular to his place. The staff is also really nice. I have never had any difficulty in getting my hair done. It’s the only place I prefer to go now.

I went here a few weeks ago to cut my hair which was already at my hips. Charlie was the one who did the cut and I can say that for once I didn’t cry when I got home from my haircut (I love my long hair too much). He left beautiful layers in my hair and the salon was very welcoming. I greatly enjoyed the service and honestly want to come back in the future. The only thing missing from my experience is that I expected a little massage during the shampooing as it’s the most relaxing part of getting a haircut. But besides that I really enjoyed the ambient. Charlie made me feel at home and we had a great time talking.
The pricing is also great as I got a wash, cut, and blow dry for $ 45 and I let him use some of his curling tools to get volume in my hair. I was a little worried as I didn’t examine my haircut before he curled it but after my first wash and dry to my very straight hair I could see the layers in them and loved it. I also recall him mentioning that they themselves test all the products before offering them to the client. It showed me how much they really cared for their client.
Overall, this has been the most enjoyable salon experience I’ve ever had!

I would like to say «thank you» to Bebe for giving me the perfect perm today. Bebe has extensive years of experience in hair salon industry. Dan and Charlie are very fortunate to have «Bebe» at their salon.

Today I got a haircut with Charlie. The salon itself is very relaxing and beautifully decorated, and the stylists clearly know what they’re doing. I just got a trim, but he got rid of all my split ends without shortening the length or layers. They have an endless supply of hair colors, and will pretty much do anything you want. I’m very happy with the cut, and I’m excited to come back for blonde highlights (once I work up the nerve). Also, for $ 45 a cut it’s a steal! Most people with that kind of talent and experience charge over $ 75. Thanks Charlie!

Yesterday was my first time ever dropping by in Daniel Lynn Salon. Luckily for me, it’s right around the corner where I reside. I’m sooo relieved, that I have finally found «the one» salon. I was assigned to Heather. And I’m glad I was. She is great at what she does. She gave me a bouncy blowout that I was craving. Woke up today, and it’s still full of volume. She explained to me about the hair products (which are fantastic) for example, one of the lines is called Angel which I loved. Very organic and does not weigh the hair down or make it look greasy. Afterwards, she also waxed my eyebrows. Heather will actually listen to you and talk about the shape of your eyebrows before she proceeds. She does not rush at all. She will help me maintain them for now on. And then she gave me the tour of the salon. Upstairs, that’s where they would do their waxing and spa related things. Very nice. Let’s not forget to mention the salon itself was very cozy and welcoming. Loved the décor. Very whimsical and fun. My visit was such a great experience for me. I have a wedding coming up this summer, this bride to be will definitely discuss the pricing of the wedding packages with CHARLIE soon. And I know Heather will be looking out for me indeed. So I found this place on Unilocal for my mom and I. We are going to wedding and it’s the day of and we had no appointments planned. It was last minuet we found out we were in the wedding so we needed our hair done. I called them and they were able to get us in on very short notice. Everyone was so great and sweet and they did an amazing job on my hair including my moms. I have a lot of hair too and they were quick. With all the curling and then styling it took a little over an hour. No one has ever curled my hair that fast. And the curls are holding! If you need your hair done for a special occasion then go here. I also saw they do makeup there and though I didn’t get it done myself others I saw were and it looked really great. Thank you guys agin for such a great experience!

Daniel Lynn and Charles are the epitome of customer service. One will never leave this salon unhappy; they would never let you! They are in the know of everything having to do with hair products and hair types. I am VERY difficult to please when it comes to hair cut and color. I was hesitant to give (yet another) salon «a try». But thanks to these Hair Gurus, I belive my hair has found a new home. For 6 years I was traveling to queens … I’ll now travel minutes from home.

This is my first time that I colored my hair. I am super happy. Thank you Danny and Charlie for the changed you guys did to my hair. I will definitely recommend Danny and Charlie. Came here once for a perm and Lily gave me PERFECT Beach waves in 1 and a half hours. My hair is beautiful! All this for only $ 65! The haircut was $ 45 (and it was optional but I still did it) and the gel and stuff was only $ 20. The service is SUPER Friendly. I mean the whole time I was like. I am in love will this salon and will come back for every occasion. This is a gem in Bergen county.

I just got back from here and couldn’t be happier. I had previously cut my hair at a different salon where it was left choppy and with no shape. I made an appointment for that same day, came in, was helped on time and was back home within an hour, that was great! Charlie did a fantastic job, he explained everything he was doing and listened to what I wanted. Their shampoo products are vegan and chemical free and the products they use for your hair smell amazing and leave your hair so soft. So happy with this place and it’s great that it’s so close to home. My new go to hair salon :)

Love Daniel Lynn Salon! They are all so pleasant! I go to the salon on a weekly basis to get my hair straightened with Lily. She does an amazing job managing my curls! For what I’ve seen, they all do an amazing job!

The guy who cut my hair did aaamazing (didn’t catch his name but has short hair, half highlighted). Even the blow out was great. He did it with such ease… no pulling or tugging and no direct hurtful heat to my scalp like other places. I got angles and layers and they came out beautifully. Cost was $ 45. Definitely coming back!

Where do I begin.
Yesterday I went to the worst butcher of a «hairstylist»
I had beautiful hair with great highlights but my reg. Stylist was overseas so in a last ditch effort to look pretty for our vacation,
I bit the bullet and went somewhere else.
3.5 hrs later my hair was Fried and BRIGHT SUNKIST ORANGE.
I was beside myself and contemplated wigs.
Whilst choking on tears and gagging from the toxic fume scented chemical plant pertruding from my hair, I started the process of researching salons Via Unilocal.
After reviewing the Unilocal about this salon I figured I had nothing to lose and they couldn’t possibly make it any worse.
Daniel and his staff were SO understanding and took me almost immediately.
Lilly worked on my hair. She did a three step process and my hair is stunning!!!
I can’t believe she actually got all that orange out of my hair.
She added oil based highlights and low lights along with a Glaze for the pieces not wrapped in foils. Its so natural looking and my hair is actually healthier!
Not to mention the wonderful exotic vanilla bean smell is just amazing.
I love this salon! It was SPOTLESS, aaccommodating and talented!
I even received a complimentary hand massage!
Thank you Lilly for making everything all better.
