Very disappointed with the new owners and how they have taken a once good place to eat good brisket and is now serving nothing but fat!

The chicken and brisket are excellent! The chicken literally falls off the bone. But what I recommend as a dessert, the peach cobbler a la mode. It is way better than the pecan pie. I would also like to add that the service was excellent! We were very pleased and we will make the 35 minute drive, again.

Great freaking bbq! Friendly staff. Huge portions. Come hungry, leave happy, but try the peach cobbler before you leave because OMG!

BBQ lands toward the very bottom of my must-have-feed-me-now list which deflates my poor southern fiancé’s heart who is always ready to chow down on some pulled beef. I do however have a sometimes uncontrollable soft spot for french fries. Big Daddy’s offers YUMMY slow cooked pork and fresh cut onsite fries which means everyone wins! Ps. Be sure to try all three of their homemade BBQ sauces. Mixing them together makes additional tasty combos!

This place left a LOT to be desired! We came here because we wanted to try a local BBQ spot since we live in the area. I know good BBQ and this ain’t it! The sides didn’t even look all that appealing. The Mac & cheese had a weird orange pink color to it. It tasted like foam. It was so bad after a few bites we decided to leave and packed up the food to bring home to the dog. Everything lacked flavor… smoke and otherwise. We should’ve known better when we pulled up with one truck in the parking lot. I’m from Memphis. I know good BBQ. The BBQ at Whole Foods taste better than this place. If you want good BBQ in DFW, you have to go to Pecan Lodge or Cattleack. Rudy’s or Dickey’s is better than this place. I don’t care much for Hard Eight BBQ yet it’s better. People who said it was good apparently do not know good food. Those that like lackluster food will be the ones to keep them in business. People that know good food won’t throw money away here. The guy at the counter was nice tho!

I had pulled pork with baked beans and potato salad. My friend had the ribs, baked beans and coleslaw. The pulled pork was disappointing. Little to no smoke flavor. It was on the edge but hadn’t permeated the meat at all. Boring is the word I thought on my first bite. My friend really liked her ribs. We both thought the sauce was a little, well, boring again. Not great sauce. A bit too much vinegar. Potato salad was okay, a little dry and the coleslaw was, eh, ok. The baked beans were really good. If you are coming here for the baked beans, this is a 5 star bbq joint. But the rest of the experience was a let down. Sorry but I won’t be coming back.

I went there a month ago and ordered the family meal with ribs and chicken with mashed potatoes potato salad and baked beans. The chicken was dry and the ribs was nasty didn’t taste good either. The potatoes salad was bland and watery and the mashed potatoes were bland. The only thing that taste good is the baked beans. This didn’t taste like southern BBQ I don’t know what it taste like but I know it didn’t taste good. They even said the meal we ordered would be good for a family of five but could barely feed two people. I wouldn’t suggest or recommend anyone to order anything from this restaurant and just go to a cookout and get real BBQ not this imitation of BBQ.

Had the chopped brisket sandwich, green beans and okra with homemade ranch. It was very flavorful! The spicy bbq and homemade ranch were great, but I might have diabetes now haha. I was sad they were out of several meats, but that is how the BBQ game goes. Defiantly will make it a semi frequent stop when I am on this side of town. If you order anything besides the regular sandwich make sure to wear your big boy pants!

Beats all local chain BBQ joints. This place is not to be missed. And the owners are super!

Ate lunch here. I had the Brisket plate w/2 sides. Great flavor, with 3 types of sauce to choose from. Try the«Smoky» flavor sauce. I would definitely recommend stopping by to try it. Gets busy for dinner and weekends, so plan accordingly. As a side note, they sell smoked cheeses by the pound. I got to sample it, and it was awesome!

Pretty good food! However way too high! And! Like most places they make the HUGE mistake of going thru all the work of making good food and overcharging you a bit then shorting you on the one major component of bbq and that’s … THESAUCE!!! And to make it worse!!! They let you get all the sauce you want in the dining room AND! They even have to go cups for the sauce you can fill yourself!!! However if you call for a pick up order and say order three of the big sandwiches and specifically say I need extra sauce ! Not just one or two lol cups! Guess what ??? You will still get just two cups!!! Not enough for one sandwich! And to make it even worse!!! You get free ranch with your fries that you didn’t even ask for!!! If it were mustard or mayo I understand we all have that but it’s bbq sauce for bbq!!! It’s supposed to be the law that you have your own special sauce with your special bbq! Don’t kill your business just because your trying to save 0.19 cents on bbq sauce!!! Because I’m not the only one who won’t come back if they get home after spending $ 35 dollars for two sandwiches and fries and can’t get enough bbq sauce to go with yes you guessed it right THEBBQ!!!

Worst bbq I have ever been to. Dry flavorless chicken non existent service .Dont stop here run to Hutchins in Frisco it’s million times better. This place charges 14 dollars for half chicken and 2 very very small sides not worth the try.

Came in on a Saturday afternoon. Owner and family were really nice, genuine people. BBQ was awesome. So much better than any chain restaurants in area. Ribs are Memphis style dry rub. Brisket was melt in your mouth quality. Real French fries, homemade beans. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. Support local business and leave in a food coma.

The main course food is great(all new), I found the sides lacking though in flavor. Cole slaw needed more something, don’t know what. Ribs are out of this world, fall off the bone good. It’s a little expensive, however what BBQ isn’t? I treat myself to this place about Omar a month.

My wife and I come here often. A great little hole-in-the-wall bbq joint. I’ve had the brisket. Turkey, pulled pork, chicken and ribs. All were fantastic. When you ask for lean brisket, they actually give you lean brisket. The baked potatos are massive and the service is always friendly and fast. Now hat construction on El Dorado is about done, I expect their traffic to increase. And one of these days I will try their smoked cheeses. They look great! And as is the law in Texas, you can’t be a successful bbq joint unless you have Big Red on the fountain. They do.

I was very disappointed with the bbq. On Memorial Day, my hubby, mom(visiting) and I decided we wanted to get out and get some barbecue since the rain stopped us from grilling our own. Off we went to support a local business. We ordered chicken, brisket and pork ribs. The chicken was the best part of the meal. A bit on the dry side but definitely better than the other two options. We ordered sliced brisket only to get home and have chopped brisket(tiny morsels of meat just don’t look good in a container). Overall for the price we paid for the not so good meat, I rather venture into Frisco or McKinney for Hutchins.

I want this place to «make it», because it saddens me to negatively review a Little Elm business… but we deserve better. If you are charging for top notch BBQ… It has to be top notch. Brisket is the official meat of Texas. You cannot burn it and sell a charcoal tasting briquette and call it burnt ends. Please, Hire a real Pitmaster and let him fix what is wrong with this BBQ. It is still early enough to make this a great place.

This place is what great roadside BBQ is. Forget fancy plates and 5 star dining. This is about the food. I normally pass on ribs. This place nailed the pork ribs. Great flavor. While they didn’t need sauce, I always enjoy some on my ribs. They had a choice of sweet and smoky sauce and kept in a warmer. Second meat was the premium sausage. Great cook on both. For the sides, I had baked beans and Corn casserole. That corn casserole is not to be missed. Finally, just simple Texas toast. They are still in their opening stages but I’ll definitely be coming back.

Super friendly staff and very attentive. The owner was out there greeting customers as well making sure everything was good. I tried the ribs and pulled pork with a side of corn casserole. Only thing I would have wanted would be the fries to be crispier. Was also advised home delivery would be offered soon. That makes it a great option for some great food.
