H and S Food Distributor’s

Now this is my dirty little secret and you are to tell no one! Swear!
When first entering Lititz, for the first time the H and S Food Distributor’s can really throw you off, because it reads Sturgis Pretzel Outlet on their sign and it is one big building with a huge lot. Hubby swore that had to be the Sturgis Pretzel Factory, but I had my doubts. (full disclosure, I am not sure if it read Tom or Julius Sturgis and whether it said factory or outlet, we’re going back soon so I will write it down and change this, but my sales receipt does say H and S and Unilocal already had the business listed as such).
Driving through the town of Lititz reassured me as we passed the pretzel factory. However, and this is where that little secret comes in that can save you big bucks! H and S is a distributor for many brands, Martin’s chips, Tom Sturgis and many others. Chips, cookies, pretzels, crackers, mixed snacks, candy and all at unbelievable low prices.
I grimaced at the prices in both the Pretzel Factory and Wilber’s, even though I did leave behind quite a bit of cash, but I would have bought so much more if the prices were a bit more friendly. Wilber’s buys Sturgis pretzels at H and S to mound them in peanut butter or caramel and then dip them in their own dark chocolate, they sell them at high prices in both Wilber’s and Sturgis, but here you can buy them for a song.
With all the pretzel factories and potato chip makers in Pennsylvania, we are known as the snack capital of the world and the majority is located right here in Lancaster and York county.
Many locally and famous brand products are sold here and when leaving Lititz drop your hard earned dollars here, you get so much more bang for your buck oh and do grab a bag of Kay & Ray’s dark potato chips, made by Martin’s, they are so addictive. Just make sure you save me one bag!
