I went here for a chemical straightening of my curly hair and a cut. I was very excited and Andrew shared my enthusiasm. He was very concerned with making sure I was comfortable throughout my 3 hour appointment. I was offered different amenities to help me feel comfortable and always felt attended to. Andrew took time to make sure I knew all of my options with my hair and ultimately did a fantastic job! I loved it here and feel that I have found my new salon home! Thank you Andrew and the rest of the staff for making my visit here feel like a pampering! I will be coming back for a color treatment in about a month or so!

Have been going here for a few years and possibly have now gone for the last time. Very high staff turn over… I’ve had so many different stylists this last year… when they call to confirm it’s often «well, so and so is no longer here but I can schedule you with someone else who is so great» Last night I had an appointment scheduled almost two months ago. I was never advised that they were now having some special night for a new product and were VERY over booked. I was moved around like I was in a factory or on an assembly line. I also wanted a new hair style and showed stylist a few pictures of what I wanted… the finished product didn’t resemble my request at all but I said it was fine as I just wanted to get out of there. I did give her a Christmas tip as I have had her before and she is very nice, but I am very disappointed in my «new» style. I feel that as long as I am just getting a trim of the same style it isn’t a problem, but a new style is just beyond her capabilities. I even mentioned to the stylist that I would forgo the haircut since she seemed to be behind «schedule». I really didn’t want a rush job but she talked me into staying by saying she would certainly not rush my new hair cut. The other problem could have been that a friend of the stylist, who showed up late for her appointment, was waiting, sitting in the chair next to me giving the «evil eye» that I was still taking up space that she wanted. I was VERY uncomfortable and that’s why I just agreed that the cut was fine… I really needed to get out of there.
I have had great experiences at this salon but I think things have changed there so drastically that they have lost the personal connection that I once felt. For those reasons… I’m done.

I’m so glad I found this place! I went today looking for a change and while I wanted something I never had, I was terrified. I know I’ve said it nefore, but Lexi is just amazing!!! She has so much patience and needs it when dealing with someone as indecisive as me. haha. She suggested something which wasnt too drastic but enough. I was super nervous but I love it! I keep looking in the mirror. I try to take pics but they honestly don’t do it justice. Lexi knows her stuff. Also, I didn’t make my appt with a cut bc honestly, i didn’t think i would need it. Then, this morning, i figured while i was there, have it cleaned up. Lexi was booked, so Jenny took care of me. She was super nice too & listened to what i wanted. I’ve only been here a few times and everyone makes you feel like you’ve been coming forever. I highly recommend this salon

This review is for my haircut from the summer, my recent blowout and for the work Andrew and Jenny did for my sisters wedding and bridal party.
Haircut by Jenny: I have to say I have a lot of hair and the hair I do have is incredibly thick. Jenny did a great job taking my hair and adding in layers that make it so I can jump out of the shower and run to work. It takes me too long to do anything to my hair in the morning so she perfected my hair so that I can just run out the door and not worry that my hair will be an utter mess when it dries.
The blowout — I had my blowout by Jenny and my sister got a blowout by Jill. Both women were extremely attentive to us. My sister and I both have a lot of hair and my sister in particular has incredibly long hair. They both worked their magic and us both feel very special for my sisters rehearsal dinner. I don’t think I’ve ever just gotten a blowout but I would do it again with this salon.
Bride and bridal party — Andrew and Jenny made their way to our parents home early (7am) on a recent Saturday. Their demeanor was great and happy to be their, which was appreciative considering it was going to be a long day for us. Andrew and Jenny did an up do for the bride and down dos for 4 bridesmaids. My sisters (bride) turned out perfect — it was a romantic sides wept up do with a vintage feeling curl sweeping one side of her face. The brides hair stayed all day and night and even into he next day. I had a downdo of curls and pulled back in a half up half down way. My hair was parted dramatically to one side and it was cross-​crossed in the back. Came out great.
In the end all 5 women loved their hair and it came out how each of us envisioned. There were only happy tears that day and Andrew and Jenny did their part to make it such a special day.

Best hair salon for color and cut. Andrew is a first class guy. He’s by your side the whole time, as the owner, that’s rare. You’re taken care of from the second you walk in. Everyone is polite, everyone smiles. Drinks and beverages offered. Couldn’t get better staff. They make you feel like you’re their first concern. Quality products. Great feel about the place. Just overall great experience. Andrew is the best. Thank you for making me feel brand new again and again. I feel like a million bucks when I leave there.

This review is well over due, as I’ve been going to the Andrew Stevens Salon and having The pleasure of Andrew taking care of my hair for YEARS…
To start, everyone at the salon is super friendly and very accommodating. From the call to schedule an appointment and speaking with Tania, to walking in for the appointment, it’s always so warm and welcoming. The ambiance in the salon is perfect for a moment of beauty, and being offered not only water, but coffee or even wine is so awesome.
I am the kind of person that was/​is very hesitant of having my hair done, even just a trim would make me worry, and I didn’t feel that way with Andrew. He has always given the most honest opinion and has always done above and beyond what I expected. No matter what cut and color I would want or even just had an idea of — they are always amazing (I’m not one to do the same cute or color every time.) I always feel so beautiful after he’s finished and I would highly recommend his salon for any kind of service; even for some quick curls for a night out.
I’ve recently moved to Colorado and although I know I’ll need color before being back in NY; I’ve already scheduled an appointment to see Lexi in December when I return for the holidays.
They are by far the best salon I’ve ever had the pleasure of going to regularly and I’m so grateful and thankful for all these years of service.

Andrew Stevens is a true professional and master at hair design. He’s clearly a very hard working guy, because every detail about the salon and the experiences I’ve had here have been a perfect 10.
I don’t need to show a picture of what style or color I want to Andrew, he can piece it together based on how you describe it. He really concentrates on your hair while he colors or cuts it, and what stood out the most to me was how lightly he touches your hair. I swear, I could barely feel that my hair was being handled throughout the entire appointment.
Andrew’s really kind and easy going, and talks to you throughout the appointment. He also remembers everything about the conversations you had at your last appointment; he pays you very close attention.
Apart from the salon experience, the hair color and style is like something from a fashion show. It did not surprise me when I learned he used to do hair for music videos and runway models. His prices are also very reasonable, especially for a salon owner’s rates.
I’ve been getting my hair done here for two years and each experience has been top notch. I recommend this salon over any other.

I have now been here 2 times and had 2 different hair stylists and both gave me exactly what I asked for the chairs at the sink are specially made and recline in a special way as to not hurt my neck or back I strongly suggest you check them out I have never been more happy or confident in a salon :) my only tip is to ask for pricing ahead of time as some stylists have different pricing then others they also only take tips in cash :) enjoy !!

Took my girlfriend on such short notice before a wedding. My mother also goes here. Very personable place. Everyone here seems very happy.

Andrew has been the only person allowed to touch my hair for the last 6 years. I followed him from two salons and I was so happy when he called to say he was opening his own salon right by my house!
Andrew is the best, but my mom and sister have had their hair cut and colored by several other girls in the salon– and they always love the results. Andrew and his staff are all wonderful people — there is no one I dislike there.
The décor is awesome as well, and they are always offering water, drinks, and coffee from next door.
They also offer manicures, facials, and makeup… I haven’t had any of this done (well, a free makeup session once because Andrew is awesome), but I’d love to in the future!
I am a regular here and I hope I always will be. :)

After getting not-​so-​great hair cuts at barbershops for 10 years, I decided to try a salon. I tried a local chain first and was disappointed with the result so then I tried Andrew Stevens. Christopher cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it (which never seems to happen) and it was definitely the best hair cut I’ve had in years. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommended.

I have a weird attachment to my long hair and I do not trust people cutting it so I put it off as long as I can. Here it is the end of October and I have not had any kind of hair cut since last March. I really needed to find a local place that I can trust with my naps.
I did a google search and of course there are a ton of salons all over the place. So how am I supposed to pick one without my precious Unilocal reviews to guide me? Well I was particularly drawn to one google review that mentioned a salon very nearby where they serve complimentary wine. My search was over.
The décor is hip and attractive. The inside is clean and has a great vibe, I felt very relaxed. What sold me on this salon however is the staff. Alexis was the one to assist me and she was absolutely awesome. Very personable, experienced and she listened to what I wanted and at the same time made friendly recommendations. I will definitely recommend this place and be a client here simply because I was treated very well.
Customer service is everything when it comes to business. I could also tell that the other staff just seemed happy to work there and cared about the people they were assisting.
My hair came out perfect — still long but healthier than before. She didn’t push any products on me and because of that I *would* consider buying a product there. The price was surprisingly fair for such a great experience. I now look forward to getting my next trim in the next few weeks.
