It’s been quite awhile I haven’t been back to this restaurant and its still as good as I remember! It’s nice place to have Sunday lunch where its not crowded, service is good and the food tastes delicious just a little pricey though! We especially liked the Crab Rangoon, Eggplant in spicy garlic sauce, Mongolian three ingredients, and Shrimp egg foo young. We also tried the Three seas delicacies, and Combination fried rice which were OK but not too crazy about…

I really love this place… My favorite dishes are the Jajangmyun and the Korean style sweet and sour pork. The service is pretty good too… even on a busy night. And if you call in with a large party they’ll make sure to have a table for you when you arrive. Bathrooms are clean. Major bonus.

The food is pretty good but don’t have the egg rolls they tremble. Also make sure you triple check your order and then check it before you leave if you’re ordering takeout as they tend to rush and forget your entry! When you call to tell them you’re coming back for it they won’t start making it until you’re there! Never again!

Came here with a large group of people. Maybe around 16+ people. Food is average. Most things are salty and soggy. We got the mapo tofu, cold jellyfish dish, tangsooyook(sweet and sour pork), cold beef dish, sweet sour shrimp, mixed seafood dish, baby bok choy with mushrooms, chicken wings, jjajangmyun, and jjamppong. Mapo tofu tasted like it was made with sriracha. Not impressed. It was one of the less salty dishes though. Cold jellyfish was my favorite. It wasn’t too salty. Just enough spicy from the mustard. Sweet and sour pork with sauce on the side. The pork was soft and tender, the crust wasn’t too thick. It was actually one of the thinnest crusts I’ve ever had. I liked it. Also not salty. Cold beef dish was the worst. So salty. The fresh cucumber and broccoli on the platter were salty too. Sweet and sour shrimp was soggy and salty. It would’ve been nice if it wasn’t so salty or soggy. The shrimp were pretty big. Mixed seafood dish was ok. Salty. Had an assortment of seafood. Idk. I didn’t hate it. Baby bok choy was ok as well. I would’ve liked this if it wasn’t so salty. Chicken wings were salty and really sweet. They came out cold and soggy. I’m used to chicken wings being crispy. I’ve had better. Some of the dishes had sea cucumber in it. It was previously dried and then rehydrated. Idk if it’s supposed to taste like that. I know the fresh one doesn’t, but it had a weird spoiled taste to me :/ I didn’t try the jjamppong, but I had a few bites of jjajangmyun. The sauce was sooooo salty, but the noodles seemed super fresh and had a bit of chew to it. I liked it. I drank 2 whole cups of water and a couple cups of tea throughout the meal and actually ate rice. Too salty. I didn’t get a lot of pictures because people started eating right away… but I still managed to get some. It looks like this place is pretty popular tho. It was packed. Service is good. They’re super fast.

Food wasn’t anything to rave about. I have been a few times in the past and I have been impressed. Tonight must have been an off night. Service is good. Very friendly. The complimentary tea is a huge hit!

This is a great Chinese-Korean restaurant. –The Mandarin Gan Pong chicken here is so tasty and crisped to perfection. I had to ask for an extra order to go, because these chicken wings are to die for! –The Three Flavor Hot Noodle Soup is also good. Not too spicy, with a delicious-tasting broth. The portion size for this dish is also huge, and you could definitely split this between two people. Great deal! –The restaurant is especially well-known for their ChaChiang Mein. Definitely order this dish when you come here. Service is good, and facilities are clean. Prices are typical for a restaurant.

Moved into the area a few months ago and wanted to find a go to Chinese restaurant and Great Beijing is going to be it! I was craving black bean noodles and after searching several restaurants around the area, this one had it! I was so happy upon finding out. I ordered: 1. Three Flavor Cha Chiang Mien(black bean noodles aka jja jang myun for you Koreans out there). Black bean sauce has tender cooked chopped onions, squash, zucchini and some pork bits in it. They tasted delicious like how they’re supposed to do. And the best part, they also came with sliced yellow pickled daikon radish; I was indeed ecstatic to find that out as many restaurants do not give out the radish. But since I think this place is Korean owned, they had it available. Must be a Korean thing to eat it with the radish. The noodles were nice and soft. I ordered carry out and they did the courtesy of separating the noodles from the actual sauce, loved it! 2. Lemon Chicken with RIce: This is usually my go-to dish for most Chinese restaurants. I asked them to separate the fried chicken breast pieces from the lemon sauce and they happily did so. Chicken was super crispy and lemon sauce was nicely sour and sweet with lemon slices garnished on top. I’m so glad to have found this restaurant. It’ll definitely be a staple Chinese take out place for me in the years to come.

My companion and I recently dinned at the Great Beijing. My companion had the Mongolian Chicken and I the Mongolian Beef. It was delish ! Dinner was served with a large bowl of White rice and hot tea. I’ve eaten at the Great Beijing in the past and it appears that I will be dinning there again in the future. The food is that good, and filling.

This is another staple for me and my family for 30+ years. My family particularly love the seafood chow ma mein, family style tofu and magnolia beef. When I visit with my coworkers during lunch, a big bowl of hot and sour soup always puts a smile on my face. I normally don’t eat pot stickers from anyone except my mom’s. Theirs are very, very good. Because I’ve been going there for years, I’ve gotten to know the wait staff very well. Everyone is friendly and provide great service. Highly recommended!

Serviceable at best. Nothing sticks out as great and nothing that truly sticks out as horrible. Everything is middle of the road and value doesn’t match the pricing.

This place is interesting. It’s Korean-owned but the last time we were here, our server was Chinese. That being said, it is still a Chinese restaurant, so you have your traditional Chinese dishes, then you have your Americanized-Chinese dishes. But, since this place is Korean owned, you will also find some Korean-Chinese food in there, such as the Korean version of sweet and sour chicken, which comes with a white sauce instead of a red sauce. We usually get the Chinese-style sweet and sour chicken and the Mongolian beef — very Americanized-Chinese dishes. They’re always good but clearly have a ton of MSG in them, as I always leave pretty much dehydrated. Service is usually pretty nice and prompt. We usually come back if we’re ever at the Grossinger Hyundai next door waiting for our car, but wouldn’t go out of the way to come back to Great Beijing.

I’ve driven pass the restaurant a few time we’ll and I’ve tried there food until now. My sister is visiting from New York and she felt like some Chinese food. So we stopped here and the food was pretty delicious and better than a lot of place I’ve tried previously. There shrimp in garlic sauce was very delicious and their chicken wings was good also. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends. In fact the food was so much I shared it with my aunt visiting from Tennessee also.

It was my first time here and I didn’t really have high hopes, and boy was I glad that I didn’t! I understand this isn’t California, but LA’s chinese-korean food is a lot more flava-flav than here or anywhere else in my opinion. My friends and I got Chachiang Mein(Jjajangmyun) and Hot Noodle Soup(Jjambbong). Jajangmyun was bland and not flavorful at all. On top of that, I was very upset that they used the wrong noodles too. How is that even possible?! However, the Jjambbong was surprisingly savory.(Warning: if you cannot handle spicy like me, do not get it.) The service was great and the workers were friendly.

Came in on Saturday at 4pm, the place was empty. We had sweet and sour chicken, shrimp with broccoli and Mongolian three. The sweet and sour chicken was a bit chewy and the shrimp was average. The Mongolian three which is shrimp, chicken and beef was excellent. We ordered it spicy so it had a kick to it. By the time when we were leaving the people started coming in and I noticed that people around us were also ordering the Mongolian three.

I can’t believe I never knew about this place, and I’ve lived in Chicago forever! I got the Jjiambong here and it instantly made my list for top three Jjiambong places in Chicago. The broth warmed my heart and soul and the noodles had to be handmade, they tasted so good. I will be back here again.

I think they should change their name to «OK Beijing» because I really can’t say that the food here is that«Great». I have to warn you that I’ve had some really awesome Chinese food in California, so it could be that I have higher standards for it. It could very well be the dishes that we ordered, but I dunno. It would be good for readers to note that this is a Korean-Chinese restaurant. Korean-Chinese food, or «Joonghwa yori», comes from traditional Chinese cuisine that was influenced by local ingredients in Korea. For example, in traditional Chinese cuisine, they actually don’t have the black bean noodles known as «Jja-jang Myun», which is a very typical Korean-Chinese dish. Enough of the history lesson, let’s move on to the review of the dish. Here’s what we ordered for our table: Tang Soo Yook /Sweet and Sour(beef): This is usually a pork dish, but we ended up ordering the beef version(I didn’t even know you could do that). This was my favorite dish of the night. Make sure to order the sauce separately! The breaded beef comes out nice and hot and crispy, and then you can either dip it in the sauce, or pour it over your meat. That way, you can control how crunchy or soggy you want it to be. Sauteed Four Greens: This is just a standard veggie dish with broccoli, pea pods, baby bok choy and asparagus in brown sauce. I always have to get some kind of veggie dish with my Chinese food to balance it all out. Three Seas Delicacies: shrimp, scallops and imitation crab sauteed with pea pods, black mushrooms, and bamboo shoots in white wine sauce. This was pretty good, though next time if I’m going to order from the Seafood section, I’ll try the Gan Pong Shrimp. Mapo Tofu /Hot Bean Curd?: We call it Mapo Tofu, I’m not sure which one it is on the American menu. It’s basically tofu with some vegetables in a hot and spicy sauce. I’ve had better mapo tofu… this one seemed kind of watery and not as much flavor that I usually associate with this dish.

I use to come here all the time with my family growing up and the one specific thing that always stuck to mind has been their Lo Mein noodles. I recently came back after more than a decade as I was in the mood for Lo Mein and was hoping it was just as good as I remember. I was right! It was! However, I will say that the rest of their food is just okay. It’s not great and it’s not bad just decent. The service is great fast and friendly and their prices are fairly cheap. I would just stick to the noodles; they’re so fluffy chewy and soft with a great taste!

This is the world’s friendliest Chinese restaurant! The owner recognizes my fiancé and calls him by his first name. The food is some of the best Chinese I have had. My fiancé swears by the Mongolian Beef. It is slightly sweet and is very tender. We decided to eat in the other day. Service was a bit disorganized since we were told to sit wherever we wanted. It took a few minutes to get menus and our server, but after that everything was good. Our server took the time to make a suggestion of a noodle dish since according to her the thing I ordered was not very good. They make their own noodles in house, and the quality shows.

We had a Mother’s Day weekend family dinner here, and I would say 3 — 4 stars, but went with 4 stars as it’s an exceptional value on the vast amount of food you get for the dollar. The large dining space was packed on a Saturday evening, and the space was loud. For $ 17.95 pp, our party of 6 had: — Pu pu appetizer tray — BBQ spare ribs, fried chicken, crab cheese rangoon, egg roll, beef satay, shrimp toast — Sizzling rice soup(a nice starter) — Mongolian beef(a nice dish) — Eggplant — Broccoli shrimp — Seafood and chicken with hand made lo mein noodles — Chicken in bird’s nest(not that great on the chewy bird’s nest) — Garlic sauteed fish(a nice dish) — Hot steamed rice Overall, a nice Chinese place for a group dinner.
