I’m loving the new trend of hip, minimalist, modern hotels/motels that are popping up everywhere. In the same vein as the adorable Spruceton Inn and The Graham and Co. hotel/motels in the Catskills in NY, The Linconville Motel brings a similar facelift to simple and stylish lodging to the coast of Maine. We stayed in one of the ocean view cabins and it couldn’t have been more adorable or comfortable. They definitely invested in what’s important — the plush bed and high quality linens. No Ikea TP paper thin sheets or hard springy mattress here. We had a deck outside our cabin facing the sunrise over the ocean, and there was a pool for the summer. Our room had just what we needed, a record player(huge record, book and game selection in the main cabin which also had several cozy hang out nooks and tea/coffee), a light up globe, mini fridge and well appointed bathroom. Definitely simple rustic chic — just what we wanted for our Maine road trip. Plenty of amazing restaurants nearby for breakfast/coffee/lunch/dinner/dessert.
