Installation: First guy showed up late and told me it would take 2x as long as the person on the phone said it would take(everything was already installed, all they had to do was active the control box and test the zones). I had to leave for work so nothing got done. Second guy shows up and has no idea what he is supposed to do there. He also told me I would have to pay for the installation in cash. Service: They screwed up the alarm call order at least a few times but the alarm worked properly when needed. Cancel service: Told me when I signed up that I could cancel at any time and they would refund the remaining portion for the rest of the year(you pay up front for the year). When I canceled they told me there was a 2-month waiting period which makes no sense for a business like this — there is no incremental cost for them when I cancel(it is not like they are at capacity on customers and it is 1 in and 1 out). I tried to support a local company. Do yourself a favor and don’t make the same mistake.

I have nothing good to say about this company. We had a break-in in my condo building, so I wanted to activate the existing in-unit alarm which had been installed by M&R when the building was originally converted. I first contacted them on February 22nd and was told they would get somebody out right away, and it would cost $ 150 for activation. I even explained the situation and told them that, given the break-in and their status as the company which had installed the original system, that if they did a good job I would recommend them to my many nervous neighbors. They didn’t do a good job. After our initial conversation I had no contact at all from the company for two weeks, and had to contact them myself to ask if they still wanted my business. After several more tries we finally got an installer out to my place on March 19th — nearly a full month after I’d originally contacted them. After that I waited three more weeks before I heard from them again… when $ 250 was charged to my bank account. I never received an invoice or any other warning or explanation. I honestly expected the cost to be slightly more than their original $ 150 estimate, but is it asking too much for them to at least tell me they’re going to charge $ 100 more than I’d expected, and maybe provide a reason why? Do yourself a favor and do business with a company that actually seems to care about its customers.
