Von Maur

I really enjoy shopping at Von Maur. Their clothing selection is excellent as is the quality of brands. This is the place you want to go for men and women if you need to dress up for work, or for a dressy evening like a charity ball or fancy event. We have found all kinds of bargains here as well on the clearance areas which helps on the price. Otherwise, if you pay full price the prices can be a little high. That said, few stores in Lincoln have the kind of selection and top notch quality as Von Maur, so you get what you pay for.
The employees tend to know what they are talking about, and can tailor or recommend items based on your needs so do not be afraid to ask. That said, I have noticed if you walk in looking like you barely have two $ 1 bills to rub together, they won’t give you much attention. On the other hand, every time I walk in wearing a suit, I feel like they pounce wanting to be over helpful. I guess this is human nature and to be expected. I have gotten excellent service each and every time, regardless of what I was wearing.
Located at Southpointe Mall it is one of the biggest stores at South pointe and is worth a visit.

You can find some really good deals here however everything else is super over priced! I have purchased most if my formal dresses here and I’m glad to have purchased them on sale! The staff here also seems to judge you if you are dressed down and not wearing the latest fashions. I’m a bit plus sized and I was accused of breaking a zipper that just got stuck on a dress I tried on (and the dress was too big).
Overall staff is generally friendly and I love the discount shoe section. The store is pricy though. Store is always really clean and you can find really good deals.

I give Von Maur a zero for hiring ethics and decisions. I applied at Von Maur to work Part-​Time. I had a phone interview and that was over 6 days ago. I have been in Customer Service for over 25 years and have always excelled. Note: plus, I am not a millionaire, but I spend a lot of money at Von Maur.
I even referred a friend to apply there. Well, guess what? She got hired today, and she doesn’t even shop there. SO WRONG!!!
Needless to say… They have now lost a good customer, and a customer that talked abt Von Maur a lot. Well, not any more!!!

I have shopped at Von Maur for years and always had a good experience. Their clothing and shoe lines are very good high quality lines. Service has been very good too. Just lately however, I believe they have truly outdone themselves! I had some issues with a jacket that I had purchased there in the past. I had inquired if they had any knowledge of any local repair locations that could help me. They went out of their way to help me. It became evident that repair was not a financially reasonable option. Upon hearing that, they made me a deal that I could not refuse for a new replacement jacket! I was beyond pleasantly surprised to say the least! I mean, WOW, what customer service!
Von Maur is a place that will always be on my «go to» list! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I LOVE Von Maur. They have amazing clothes and the store is beautiful. I love to shop here. Prices are very high but if you shop the sale racks you can usually find things that are reasonable. I have found to the salespeople to be very helpful, unlike other «high end» stores where the sales people can be a little snooty.

I came to this store once and was not dressed up. I had my hair up and little or no makeup and not one person came up to me to ask if I needed help, even though they looked directly at me and made eye contact. I went in once more and this time I was dressed up and had makeup on, and my hair was done. I had about three women come up and ask if I needed any help, and what was I looking for today? I have never gone back in there because I thought that was so rude, like how I looked determined whether I could shop there.

I love von maur, the sales are great and they have the cutest clothes. I shop here for myself and my children. The sales people are always wonderful.

I do not think they are overpriced or that the sales people are rude… more neglectful than anything else. It seems Von Maur would like to be compared to Nordstroms. Ha, good luck! Nordstroms actually has sales people that seem to be there to do a job, not socialize. Von Maur has sales people that are there for hmmmm… not sure really, I guess to collect a paycheck?

For the most part everything is WAY overpriced. The sales people that have all helped me out have been quite rude as well. Maybe its just a coincidence but there are lots of places to buy quality clothes.
Von Maur’s one saving grace is that its clearance section is frequently updated and many of the brand name articles of clothing are marked down quite a bit.
