I SO love this place. If I lived in Lincoln, I would most definitely be a regular. However, I drive through Lincoln a couple times a year, and always make a point to stop here for a coffee or meal. I love that this is a local establishment, not far off the highway, and most definitely worth the very small detour. The coffee drinks are great. I appreciate that they have almond milk. I can’t recall if there is an upcharge for this, but frankly, that doesn’t concern me. The food is also fresh and delicious. I had the most amazing breakfast sandwich, jalapeño bagel, sausage, pepper jack cheese and shallot cream cheese. Ok, I didn’t say healthy, but it was AMAZING. I’ve also had the breakfast burrito, which, as a breakfast burrito connoisseur, is top notch. Bagel and Joe has a wide selection of organic salads, and they use high quality ingredients throughout their menu. Service here has always been fantastic, the staff is friendly and seem to have pride in what they are doing. Highly recommend, and continue to look forward to my drives to and through Lincoln so that I can stop here.

Loved this place! The salmon panini is divine! It has a bit of cafeteria feel so the atmosphere isn’t the greatest, but it’s the perfect place for a quick lunch.

Just updating a bit after being here quite a few times. Okay, I’m not trying to be a jerk here but I’m pretty over the menu. Ordered a Turkey Pannini and it was a squished flat cheese bagel with turkey slices in it and some wayyyyy too hot sauce and I think some cheese. That’s it. The bagels to me are just okay. Pretty doughy and a bit soft. The everything bagel just doesn’t do it for me, normally everything bagels are my fave. This one is too strong and too salty and the texture like I said, too doughy. The cream cheese options that they have are pretty good. Lots of different choices. Have tried the soups and really not impressed. Not flavorful or do not seem like they’re homemade. Also not sure why they don’t give you an option to add pickles to your sandwich. Since the sandwiches are pretty darn bland, it would help. Also, would be great if we could order melted cheese on our sandwiches and the option of toasted bread. Just really not impressed with the flavors of the food here. Also, please, I realize that some of the younger employees(the regular gals) are cute and that’s how they get most of their tips but the attitudes and sulky faces just bum me out so much I completely stopped going in. Still, I always give a nice tip but come on, I try to be friendly and happy and sure wish they would do the same.

Ate there once, got a prime rib bagel sandwich, or something along those lines.(Not sure if it has a specific«menu name.») was very tasty! The restaurant has a nice, relaxed ambience to it. I’ll be back.

My husband and I frequent B&J after church on Sundays. Great service, food, and coffee! Don’t let the line be deceiving, as it goes by quick!

One of the things about just happening in when your stomach growls is that you have no expectations but you are going to get food. Mission accomplished. They are clearly a coffee and bagel place and with that said, you can get them any way you want them. I opted for the breakfast burrito and was pleasantly surprised. For less than $ 8, I managed to score a burrito(not the biggest but sufficient) and a coffee. The place was packed at 9:30 on a Saturday with people from young to old. The menu was loaded with enough options to allow even the most discriminate tastes to find something to eat. Overall, not bad for the price.

I love the breakfast burritos at Bagels and Joe. They also have a great selection of other food there, salads included. Coffee is always hot and delicious. I can always find a place to sit and study, and it’s far enough away from campus that I don’t usually run into any one I know.

Our daughter just graduated from UNL this past weekend &10 family members drove in from Kansas for the festivities. We live in California and were coordinating long distance a celebration dinner & a brunch for Mothers Day. We were unable to find a brunch reservation for a party of 14 so we decided catering food to our daughters apartment was the best option. I stumbled across Bagels & Joes thru Google and the menu looked perfect. I placed the order online while waiting for 1788 students to get their diplomas. I received a confirmation call within half hour of submitting the order & was walked thru all the options, payment and timing of delivery. I was very nervous considering I’d waited until the last minute & knew if anything went wrong I’d have 13 people looking to me for answers. I received a call a the delivery man a few minutes before 1030 on Moms Day(delivery was set for 1030) announcing he was bringing up the order. The quiche was delicious & still piping hot, bagels fresh & sliced, fruit bowl was huge & not a single piece looked past due, pastry platter was everyone’s favorite, and even though I was unable to make up my mind on the types of coffee for the 2 carafes Joes came thru with two different blends a dark & medium roast when they could have easily just given me two boxes of the same type. The platters were beautifully arranged & wrapped up like Easter baskets, plastic ware, plates & cups, napkins, sugar, cream, etc all arrived with the order. When I tried to tip the driver I learned he was the owner & I had to twist his arm to at least take the tip for his staff. I was able to relax & chat with family & enjoy Mothers Day and everyone in attendance raved about how tasty the food was and best of all our Daughter was left with breakfast items for the next few days. Just a great experience all the way around. I highly recommend Bagels & Joes not just for catering, but for the quality of their food.

There are several reasons that I love Bagels and Joe. Obviously the food– great selection of bagels and they are just the way I like them. Non– processed tasting cream cheeses– all sorts of kinds. Great wraps, great coffee. Here’s the deal though– for four years I was in charge of ordering catering for meetings at work. I could ALWAYS depend on Jon and his team to get things perfect. They pay attention to detail, always on time, beautiful presentation and orders are always correct. I have had nothing but great experiences with them. And shoots they are local, people!

Pretty good. I was not blown away, though. The breakfast sandwiches come with a pre-cooked egg patty, and not with a fresh egg. Otherwise, the bacon was crispy and the bagel was alright. The coffee was adequate, but nothing special.

I have on occasion, enjoyed the delicious sandwiches served at here. I’ve never been disappointed by the for nor the service. Bagels and Joe is also the only decent restaurant in that area of town short of a full-on sit down service or buffet. Why only two stars then? They are rarely open when its time to eat! I would love to give them my money, but they just don’t seem to be interested. I am continually confused, and frustrated, by their oddly early closing times. I don’t understand why a restaurant would close just before the weekday dinner device gets started or at 2pm on Saturdays. Similar shops, such as Panera and Braeda, are open well into the evening. I don’t live or work near the establishment, nor does my commute pass near the area. I do, however, often have errands after work in the area. Just this afternoon(a Saturday) I wanted to stop by for some late lunch in the early afternoon. I didn’t realize it was just after 2. As I tried the door, another customer drove up as well. Upon seeing that the doors were locked, the lady in the car immediately pulled out of her parking spot and left. I would love to eat here more often, but I’ll just have to find other places that are actually open for business.

I used to work close to this place and every friday I would look forward to going to Bagels and Joe. Good coffee and an excellent selection of carbohydrate goodness. They also serve some really good cream cheeses to put on your bagel.

Great Coffee drinks. Excellent service. Breakfast sandwiches are basic and pre made, bagels are average. Lunch menu looks amazing, will have to come back.

Great place to either grab a quick bite to go or sit and visit with a friend. Coffee is excellent as is the food, all for a reasonable price. Although this is a bagel shop(with great bagels), they also have an extensive menu… including a surprising quiche(served with a salad). Highly recommend.

I needed a coffee shop to work at for a day while waiting for a friend. This place is as good as it gets. Clean, nicely decorated interior(not overbearing), and plenty of open tables(at least on this Wednesday). And fairly fast, free wifi(ask for the password at the counter). The staff is truly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The food and coffee are excellent, and all reasonably priced. I ate breakfast(bagel) and lunch(panini and salad) here and both were nothing short of fantastic. If you’re going to stay for a while, save your cup, refills are only 25 cents! It’s rare to find a coffeehouse(in the Midwest) that’s this good at these prices. Bagels & Joe is really a gem. If I find myself back in Lincoln, I would not hesitate to come back here.

Bagels & Joe is great, not least because they actually sell lox. Do you know how freakin hard it is to find lox in Lincoln? It’s hard. Insert inappropriate metaphor here. They also sell plain and flavored cream cheeses, breakfast and lunch paninis, pastries, and coffee. They ALSO have live music once per week(friday nights). There is free wifi if you(like me) want to nurse your huge bagel for a couple hours while studying or «working.» The staff is very friendly, they will act as a waitstaff if you need them to, and the coffee refills are a quarter. The place does fill up on weekends(this kind of clean, friendly, cafeteria-like space is old people catnip) so get in early or take it to go. I come here as often as I can, and so should you.
