Aura

The food is really good here, but the layout of this restaurant is strange. It’s very casual sports bar-​like, but small with small TVs over the bar. I have enjoyed the BLT-​avocado sandwich, smoked chicken gumbo, and smoked chicken tacos. The tacos were amazing! I saw the nachos and they looked great. Someone said they are a full meal, not really an appetizer unless you’re sharing. Great food, friendly service.

This was definitely not the dinning experience I had hoped for. It looks like a combination of a cafeteria and a sports bar, but very bland to look at (The only «decorations» were a couple of TVs over the bar area). The appetizer selection was unimpressive, and our food wad not cooked properly. The steamed carrots were still crunchy, the stuffed shrimp and the steak were both over cooked. My boyfriend’s Cesar salad had way too much dressing. And the waitress walked past our table several times when our drinks were low and when we commented about getting the check.
Not someplace I care to dine at again.
Oh, also there was a screaming baby; but that’s not really the resturant’s fault. Still annoying though…

This is a good choice for excellent food prepared with care. Excellent service. Décor and ambiance a bit techno cold but the food makes up for it all. Highly recommended.

Food was incredible, had the Cajun chicken pasta, very yummy!

I really wanted to like Aura, but they left me cold. The décor is very hip and modern, if a little austere. The menu is somewhat interesting, at least for Lincoln. The restaurant, however, lacks in menu execution and service.
I came here with my husband in June. For appetizers, we ordered the chips and onion rings. For an appetizer menu, I thought the selections were quite poor; nothing more than a bunch of different fried foods. Curiously, both the fries and onion rings were served with the same sauce, so they tasted pretty much the same.
For entrees, we both ordered salads. I ordered the warm bacon & spinach salad, while my husband ordered the steak salad. Again, curiously, the steak salad did not come with dressing (!). Overall, the salads were just OK… they seemed to lack depth of flavor and composition. My salad was essentially some baby spinach with a decent vinaigrette and a few pieces of bacon.
Overall, I probably would not come here again. They would have to improve much more for me to make the drive so far south.
