The hostess greeted me with a fake smile and bad attitude who told me there was a 30 minute wait when there was no one in the restaurant. When I asked if there was another restaurant near by she didn’t want to answer my question, instead responded that there were restaurants every where, like I was some idiot.

I am absolutely in love with The Blackfish Café. My husband and I drive two hours to the coast every year just to eat here. The scallops are to die for. I adore the greeter Linda. She’s adorable and so sweet and she loves doggies! We will be there every year until they close it down! Love love love.

This place is absolutely amazing. Everything that comes out of the kitchen tastes like magic. We go to Lincoln city several times each year just so we can eat here.

My 2nd favorite clam chowder. Their fish and chips are fresh and excellent. Everything tastes fresh and prepared well, don’t leave with trying a dessert… they’re not made there but from another local business… delicious. don’t plan on getting a seat on any kind of a holiday or special event day at the beach… and I’d check their website to see if they’re even open before making the trip.

If there’s one reason to go to Blackfish, it’s their unique clam chowder. They made so light with nice clean flavors. I enjoyed it, in part because it’s different. And«different» means far better than the typical thick chowder loaded with potatoes, heavy cream, and fats with very little taste of actual clams. It was a nice surprise to see oysters on their menu. If you see kumamoto oysters on the list, go for it. It’s very refreshing with a nice buttery aftertaste.

This is my second visit here, this time with friends. We arrived at 5 pm, which is when they open. Were seated right away. For dinner we got New York steak. Soup of they day was also amazing. Overall service was pleasant. Clean restaurant, cozy atmosphere. Will return next time I’m back in this area.

Looked like a nice place to eat, rustic, yet clean, and it was. Inside is very nice, and the wait staff is pleasant and quick. As far as the food goes, not impressed at all, wife hated it. We both got the fish and chips, looked great when it arrived. The fries were cold, the coleslaw was dry, and the fish leaked so much oil, it soaked the fries making them soggy. The crust had a great flavor, too bad it was ruined by the grease. If only the chef turned up the heat on his fryer, it would have been perfect. Won’t be coming back any time soon. Too many other really good places with great fish.

The reviews do not lie, this place is amazing. We were there on a Monday for a late dinner. Service was superior and the menu has a nice selection of N.W. specialties. My husband had the special, which was a lamb shank served on top of an excellent pollenta. I had the Alder smoked salmon in a creamy, garlic loving, delicious pasta dish. Oh, we both started with the clam chowder, which is a great traditional recipe. They also have a nice sized wine selection.

Very few place places at the beach that have a combination of good food/service and the building isn’t falling apart or in the middle of a never ending remodel. Ordered the black rock fish with pasta and the wife got the assorted seafood plate. Really liked the food and setting of this place, will come again if in the area.

Was exactly what we were looking for. Good wine selections as well. My friend had the smoked salmon pasta and I had the potato gnocchi. Both were smashing good.

Great find on the Oregon coast! Best clam chowder we could find, fried oysters, fish and chips, panzenella; all fabulous. Helpful wait staff. Stop by, you’ll love it!

My experience was a solid 4.5 but my husbands was not. We started with the seafood pizza which was so fantastic. I would get that again in a heartbeat. The clam chowder was excellent, not too stiff and lots of great flavor. The caesar was pretty good, nothing special. I had the scallops and the bacon risotto which I really enjoyed. My husband got the steak, which seemed to be the only entrée you could get without onions. When his meal arrived, the steak was sitting on top of a sauce made of onions — that really put a damper on things. The rest of the meal was good, our server was great. I’d come back.

Wait staff was very pleasant and attentive in the beginning. Caesar salad was really small. Clam chowder was creamy and very tasty. We order the rustic pizza which was nice sized and tasty but alittle on the salty side, swordfish which was tasty and cooked very well, salmon special with gnocchi was a tad over cooked but very tasty. Noticed that all three entrees had walnuts. Candied on the pizza and toasted on both other entrees. Ticket times were slightly slow as we saw 5 people in the kitchen and all the tables weren’t full. Servers were very slow in checking on us but still very friendly as the room filled with other customers. Over all I’d come back. Just not blown away as expected.

We are visiting LC for a quick day trip and decided to get dinner at the Blackfish Café. Their good reputation did not disappoint! We had a great meal and everything was fresh and delicious. The service was very professional and good. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided on trying out a place new to us. We were able to get a booth seat. The restaurant is open and has a clean upscale air about it. We were wearing jeans but the employee’s made us feel comfortable. There was a large table who was celebrating a birthday and had school age children. They seemed very happy. We didn’t have to wait very long for our food to arrive. When it did it was large portions. Neither of us could finish. I definitely will be coming back to try the swordfish. Everything is so fresh and tasty.

We were ready for lunch after spending some time at D River State Park in Lincoln City. So driving further north, we visited for the first time on 4÷20÷15. This was in stark contrast to the previous evening’s dinner at Gracie’s Sea Hag in Depoe Bay. Bright, airy restaurant with featured artwork by Ben Soeby. Seated immediately upon arrival. Pleasant reception and wait staff. The food was outstanding — especially the depth of flavors! We started with two cups of the Clam Chowder. Our wait person was kind enough to just charge us for a bowl instead. This is the best clam chowder we’ve had thus far. Clams were plentiful along with celery and potato. The flavor and texture was spot on! The husband ordered the Fish Sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle on the side, plus cole slaw($ 9.75). This was essentially inhaled and washed down with a pint of Rogue Brewery’s Dead Guy Ale($ 5). The kiddo ordered the Clam Linguine with bread to sop up the clam broth($ 12.50). Very generous perfectly steamed clams and that broth was a knockout! He left half the entrée in order to try the Molten Chocolate dessert with ice cream($ 8). I snagged a bite and good quality chocolate was definitely used. I selected the Fish and Chips which also comes with cole slaw($ 11.75). Maybe the sea air increases appetite and amplifies taste buds, but this was really, really delicious. Perfectly cooked fish, spritzed with lemon wedge and no need for malt vinegar. I enjoyed the remoulade based cole slaw. Overall a terrific lunch(and dinner) find in Lincoln City — thanks again Unilocalers!

Bonne ambiance mais jétais étonné qu’il y avait si peu de plats unique de fruit de mer. Dommage.
