We have been waiting over a half hour for 3 omelets. It’s 12:45 pm so it’s safe to say the breakfast rush is over. It would be excuse able IF it was a packed house BUT it isn’t.

A diner type atmosphere. The food is greasy, and delicious. The service for the most part is adequate. The building is a little chilly on cold days. The staff is friendly, and helpful. A Saturday morning staple in Lima.

So Lickity Split is open all night Fridays and Saturdays. As Lima’s only 24-hour diner, other than Waffle House, it draws a regular crowd of drunks and night owls. If you’re looking for late-night activity in Lima, this is the place. If you’re looking for politeness or safety, you’re in the wrong place. Come with an open mind and thick skin, because you will be mocked and harassed by the diners, especially if you look at all different. I had three«Hey, Adam Lambert!“s, one«Oh my God, Criss Angel!» and even a «Rock star, rock star, sing us a song!» before I even sat down. Also, seat yourself. Otherwise, you’ll be standing around for 15 minutes before having to ask for a seat. Then you’ll be told to seat yourself. As for the food, the menu is massive, almost to a fault. Lickity split has wings, burgers, breakfast food, ice cream, pies, sandwiches, chili, nachos, poppers, grits and even seafood. If you drunk friend has some odd food request, chances are Lickity Split has you covered, though I didn’t spot any ethnic items on the menu.
