Karisma Hair Salon

I had Naty the stylist. She was great, she spoke very good English and told me about heat damage. I haven’t had a touch up in months and she blew out my roots. My hair feels amazing and soft. I bring my own products so I can’t tell you about the salon’s products. I did notice they use Keracare shampoo and conditioner.

I must say I had an amazing experience at Karisma. Naty was great, just like my girl back in Harlem. Will definitely be back! I am very picky and Karisma salon met all of my expectations!

I just moved from NY and was so nervous that I wouldnt be able to find a good Dominican salon like at home. 3 great washes, and able to blow dry impeccably by hand as I don’t have the patience to do rollers is what I thought I would never find. Luckily for me, after trying 2 salons prior (3 times a charm!) I found Karisma and I fell in love with Naty! I highly recommend her to anyone, no matter what texture your hair is she has the hands for them.

Absolutely loveeee this place!!! Been coming here to get myy hair done for 12 yrs! My mom has been coming for 15 yrs. Any (annie) is the best stylist there! Shes quick, professional and sweet! She always does my hair exactly as i want! I would never go anywhere else!

Dominican Disaster — This salon appears to cater to a Dominican/​Spanish-​speaking clientele.
My hair stylist was Ana — she goes by Anny. I asked her for blonde highlights. I specifically told her I did not want my hair to be red. So what did she give me? — nothing but red, red, red. When I complained, she told me to wash my hair twice — and presto-​chango — my bozo-​the-​clown red hair would magically turn to blonde! Well guess what Ana-​banana, after 2 regular washes, 6 clarifying washes and 1 lemon wash, my hair color is still bozo-​red.
She obviously has no knowledge of the coloring process and which colors to use for intended results. When I got home and saw how awful my hair looked, I called and demanded my money back. The owner, Juan, gave me a hard time. I kept calling until they finally agreed to return my money. Now, I’m off to Sally’s for a bottle of color corrector and lots of reconstructor. Anyone know an experienced (and not an experimentalist) colorist in the Atlanta area?

Just so you know I’m rating this based on the eyebrow threading done by Jabin. I haven’t had my hair done here at all, I already have a Dominican Salon that I use. Jabin does a great job threading. She’s quick and will make any touch-​up you may point out to her. I recommend her to anyone looking for a good place to get threading.
