I stopped here while the hubster went to a nearby meeting. The location seems a bit on the dumpy side(gross bathroom: my biggest pet peeve). The service was quite friendly. HOWEVER, during lulls, the staff seemed to be shouting at each other despite the fact that they were standing only a few feet apart. As a result, the entire clientele(or at least those who were not smart enough to bring headphones – including ME, damn it all!) were treated to their entire vapid conversation, which was liberally peppered with f-bombs. This was really very annoying, since I had brought computer work. I wanted to bash my head repeatedly into the wall by the time my husband came to pick me up. INSIDEVOICE, PEOPLE! TIP: BRINGHEADPHONES. UPDATE – WARNING: the tables bite! The table legs appear to be thin pieces of industrial-grade metal. As I was getting ready to leave, I bashed my kneecap into the edge. Should you have a similar mishap, you may find yourself(briefly) wishing you had not been born. In my case, I stood up and nearly passed out.

I have a favorite Starbucks in Vernon Hills(I go there every day without fail) but was downtown shopping in Libertyville, so I stopped in. The barista was very friendly to all her regulars, and went about calling drink after drink but never mine. When I finally stepped up to the counter, I heard her tell a coworker to throw that one out because the lady never paid — it was my earned reward!!! Anyway, when I asked her about my drink she was rude to me and said she had called several times. I was sitting in a chair just two feet from her. She could have stepped around or spoke a little louder. She begrudgingly made me a new drink after I asked but never said a word. WORSTEXPERIENCE ever if you’re not one of their regulars don’t expect a friendly greeting.

I haven’t actually found a Starbucks location that stands out above the average chain coffee shop, and this location is no exception. It’s in the heart of downtown Libertyville so parking is a hit or miss because it is near several restaurants and adjacent to a dance studio. If you’re lucky, you can sip your coffee to the rhythmic thuds of a dance class above or the squeals of aspiring prima ballerinas taking a break with free water. There are a lot of windows with ample space to people watch — street view or interior. I do wish it would stay open. Little later. TBH, if you really want a great cup of coffee walk north on Milwaukee Avenue, across the train tracks to a coffee shop that starts with the letter H followed by the letters ansa.

Rude staff. Closed early. Turned lights out 9 mins before close at 7:51pm with eight patrons inside. Made a point to walk up to people at 7:56 and tell them they were closed. Totally rushed people out the door and were not at all friendly. One high school girl at 7:55pm tried to buy at counter and was refused and told to walk out. I’ve been here over 95 times in past 9 years. Tonight sucked. Truly I’ve never been to any Starbucks more than this one. I always come here because it’s a half mile from my house. The two staff members were careless and inconsiderate at the very end of night in the last 15 minutes before closing. I was there conducting a nice business meeting with soon to be Newlyweds about their wedding next week and other professionals on their laptops were working quietly when the lights went out nine minutes before 8:00pm. The manager here needs to have a nice staff meeting to remind the baristas who it is that pays for the $ 4 lattes. The guy who yelled closing time at 7:55pm like it was 2:00am in a drunk bar held the door open for over 3 minutes. I didn’t budge. I showed the guy my iPhone saying 7:58pm on my screen as he rushed us onto Milwaukee Avenue. He said«we close at 8pm. We are closed». I said yeah that’s in 2 minutes — and this was after he held the door open for 3 minutes being rude and staring at us to leave. Dude made me angry. And I’m sure that’s what Starbucks wants angry patrons.

Best latte this side of the Mississippi. I’m saying this particular location. A lot of times I go and they taste burnt but not this one, good job baristas, keep workin hard and keeping me awake! No need to get out of your car either, there’s a drive through. Staff is always friendly which I like, it refreshing to go to a place where people a genuine and care about what they are doing.

This is by far… my favorite Starbucks. The fact that it is a downtown store & therefore, has no ability to have a drive through, makes the staff focus on the face standing in front of them. Imagine… face to face. My drink is always correct & sometimes they start it before I get into the store. The staff is amazing & energetic always engaging the customers in conversation. The employees are truly the best part of this location. Many have been there a long time & work very hard. I hope the staff is well cared for by management and does their best to keep what is clearly a great team. Sometimes things are done right — this is a prime example. The only negative… sometimes I see customers in what is clearly their PJ’s & slippers. Yikes.

I love this Starbucks! It is always a good place to get my favorite summer drink– the passion tea lemonade! The staff is very nice and it seems very clean and busy. The only thing I would complain about it getting there. Depending on the day parking can sometimes be difficult.

Every time I come in here these days, it’s totally filthy. Garbage everywhere. Pretty sad– used to be my favorite hangout.

This Starbucks is kind of hidden and the sign is hard to find. So have a lookout when do you come here! I love this Starbucks it’s super cute in downtown libertyville it looks like. People were friendly and just the environment it just feels very cozy, family oriented, and they are quick. I think most Starbucks are fast but I’ve been to some that just takes forever with your order.

I was parched from all of this hot weather we’ve been having and the barista recommended I try the new Shaken Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade. It was delicious! I love this location! Downtown Libertyville is adorable… there’s so much to do, shopping, dining, wine tasting etc. The boutiques are affordable. Some of my favorites are the Forest Bootery II, Serendipity and Full DisClothesure, just to name a few. This is a great location for a mini girls trip. You can take the Milwaukee North line Metra here.
