My Jeep Wrangler was on it’s last leg, so I was thinking about getting a used truck. One day I was out with my wife and noticed that this lot had a decent amount of trucks there, so I decided to stop and take a look. It was a Sunday, so I didn’t expect the place to actually be open. However, the owner came out to greet me and let me sit in one of the trucks. He immediately started asking me about payments and where I wanted to be with them, telling me he was a «finance man». After telling him that I had just started my search and mentioning where I thought I would like to be on payments, he proceeded to tell me how the trucks I was looking at were out of my range, but brought me into the office to see if he could «work something out.» When his numbers didn’t seem right to me, I expressed doubt. To make a long story short, the guy talked to me like I was a complete idiot. I am a calm person, but I became so upset with how he was talking to me that I actually stormed out of the building. Not too long after that, I went right down the street to JW Auto and bought a nice used truck, in comparable condition to one of his trucks for way less, without the hassle and disrespect. After talking about this with a family member, I found that he had similar problems there. Hopefully the man who runs this operation calms down and stops being so confrontational, because the lot and vehicles seem like they are in good shape.
