My daughter started eating their fabulous potato soup since she was only 2 years old, and she is 22 now! Their food makes you feel loved and cared for! The owners are kind, passionate, and truly care about each and every customer. My daughter tells me going there brings out childhood happy memories back, and I agree with her. If you are looking for a cozy, inviting Restaurant with delicious healthy food then this is the place for you. I call it home of love not a Restaurant!!!

Stumbled into this place in Lexington. It’s attached to an Antiques Gallery, of all things. Makes it a cool place to tour, though, either before or after lunch. Food is good. Menu seems to change daily. It’s clearly popular and seems to have a clientele, but the wait wasn’t unreasonable. Soups and sandwiches, home made pies, too. Liked it. Recommend it for good, homestyle lunch, reasonably priced. Great atmosphere.

I found this place yesterday walking on my way home. I had to stop and take a peak. Yes I ended up buyind a sandwich and a side with a drink all for $ 8.95. It is small inside but alot to look at while waiting or eating your lunch. The prices range from $ 6.95 to 8.95. You can sit inside or outside. While your waiting for your food you could go into the antique place to take a look. This deli is located on the side of the antique store which is in a huge old church. Overall it was a very nice place.

Great place to grab a sandwich and drink. Sit in the park and enjoy people watching.

Hated to see this historic place empty and closed last weekend. seemed to be the last little sandwich shop in downtown Lex., which hadn’t been«remuddled» maintaining a genuine feel for the time period it was built. WHAT A CONCEPT. If only the town could see the gems it has, unfortunately most are being either razed:(or gutted into generic 90’s loft-style places– boring and ultimately very replaceable. With sadness I see another Lexington small downtown business that can’t keep up with the Jones’ i.e. WEBBS, as we refer to THEMAN here.

For more than twenty years Courtyard Deli has been located on Cheapside. Several years ago, Cheapside was blocked off from traffic and the 5th3rd Pavillion was created, targeting the bar scene. Now Cheapside consists of bars and the pavillion, the home of the popular summertime series, Thursday Night Live. Now they have drove this staple Lexington deli out of the area. Their last day in this location will be 12÷31÷14. They will then be moving to their new location in the Heritage Antique shop in February. On an average day, you would find it packed with downtown workers, attorneys, court staff and other regulars and you will hear the owner call by name. I’m glad that they have that fan base and weren’t completely driven from downtown. I think that the new location will be better, especially for those of us who don’t work in the heart of downtown. I think that the parking will be a better situation too. The food is all deli like, mainly consisting of sandwiches, soups and salads. I have to admit that I’ve only been here once, and I can attest that the cobb salad was excellent. It wasn’t huge, but it did fill a plate and the fact that it came with bread and a choice of a side, made it a big meal. I chose a soup which apparently rotates, this day I went with a white chili and I have to say that it was some of the best white chili that I’ve ever had. Sorry if that isn’t available when you check it out. The salad, side and a fountain drink for around $ 10. I don’t think that’s a bad price for a meal downtown. I’ll be back… to the new location at 351 Church Street.

A chicken salad sandwich, ice burg lettuce, side of pickle with«cream of tomato» soup with 16oz drink ran me 9.50. My hubs got a gyro which turned out to be the same chicken salad doused in «tzatziki» dressing with black olives and cucumbers side of pickle and 16oz drink also 9.50. The soup turned out to be hot pizza runny pizza sauce. Very acidic and not impressed by flavor. Quick friendly service.

Took advantage of the beautiful weather today for my 1st trip of the year to Courtyard Deli. It’s my favorite lunch spot downtown and I eat there often, but I’m loyal to one dish. I get the #1 Smoked Turkey Sandwich on the Rosemary Foccacia bread. The combination of flavors with the turkey, cole slaw, and rosemary bread works very well together. I usually get just the half sandwich and I get the red bean and corn salad for a side. The only downfalls to Courtyard are how busy it is during lunch(great for the business I know, but the wait makes for a short lunch hour for me) and that they don’t serve Coca-cola products anymore. The staff are always friendly here and they know a lot of customers by name which is always a great

I had lunch here today, it was mediocre at best. The downsides were that I was the only customer in the place, and still had to wait 15 minutes for a corned beef on rye with potato chips, not exactly the hardest thing on the menu to make. Also, the menu said they served kettle chips, but what I got were just generic wavy-cut potato chips. Ten dollars and change for a cup of unsweetened iced tea, a handful of generic potato chips and a simple sandwich seemed like a little much. The sandwich was okay, but the bread was pretty crumbly. As for upsides, the staff was friendly and welcoming, the décor and atmosphere was warm and inviting, and they had an adequate selection of hot sauces(I’ve got to give some credit to any place that keeps two bottles of sriracha sauce by the register). I’m not in a hurry to go back, which is sad because it’s pretty close to my workplace, but if I’m in a rush for lunch at work I might be back.. .but I’ll try something else.

Had an excellent lunch at Courtyard Deli today. Chrissy made a Shrimp Diablo soup that had just the right amount of spicy heat. I got a second side — red pepper cheese grits which was very, very good. THISIS A GREATPLACEFORLUNCH.

I don’t really like this place but my boyfriend loves their brisket sandwich and one of the chicken soups. They are very unique and have lots of menu items, but I feel like they throw random ingredients into stuff just to be different, and the flavor profiles don’t work well for me. So I feel like a jerk when I go in with people and then order something and totally change it. But they’re accommodating, so that counts right?

I used to eat at the deli at least once a week when I worked downtown. This speaks volumes, because I get tired of places very easily. The selection is ever changing and everything gourmet quality. It definitely beats Panera into the ground with sandwiches. These aren’t your typical sandwiches, you’ll have ingredients on your food that you see in the corner of the supermarket that only culinary school dropouts go to… and you’ll love it. It’s overflowing with people around lunchtime and the hours are very limited and the menu changes so often that you’ll establish a favorite and then it won’t be there the next week, but those are my only criticisms.

Courtyard deli is a good place to go for a quick lunch. They have a pretty good assortment of sandwiches and salads, and always have different specials to try. Be careful though, because they get busy right around noon during the week. Some of their dishes are really good, but some of them are below average. I enjoy most of their sandwiches. I had a shrimp po-boy there that was excellent — the shrimp were large and not overcooked, and it came with a really nice tangy sauce on a yeast roll from Sunrise Bakery. They also have a lot of different sides to try, however, I have found a lot of them to be pretty mediocre. If possible, I would sub a small soup.
