Or as my fiends and I call it, The Snack Box! This is one of the best spots in town for a few beers. It’s along the creek, has a fire pit, and a back patio in the creek. The only downside is that the service is slow sometimes.

My first time going was not a good impression at all! Getting a drink took a long time as the bartenders chatted and talked rather than serve. Very unorganized! Then to top it off, after closing my $ 12 tab I realized the next day that my card was charged $ 35. I waited a week to dispute the charge to make sure it wasn’t a pre-authorization amount that would drop off. NOPE! My bank said there was a $ 1 pre-authorization and the $ 35 was the final settle charge!!! Stealing my money is not cool! I won’t be back!!! BTW, there is no phone number to try to talk to someone about bartenders stealing from customers but it said it was no longer in service! Classy place you guys are running!

Easily one of my top 5 spots for a drink in the city. I am here a couple times a week almost year round. So let’s get down to it. What to expect — It’s a garage themed bar with a hint of Johnny Cash meets Bad Religion. What does that mean? It means it’s appealing to most types of folks. What is to drink — Well if you’re coming here for a solid prohibition style cocktail… abort mission. You will find VERY basic mixed drinks and beer here. If you want a cocktail walk 100 yards over to Middle Fork in the same complex. Prices — Very reasonable at times… they don’t exactly have a set price for things I have found. Sometimes a Miller High Life is $ 2 sometimes it’s $ 3 or $ 4. No consistency but who cares, it’s a bar. Parking — huge parking lot, you can fit a bus in here if you get there earlier enough. Patio — amazing patio in the warm months with a nice view of the Town Branch creek(river?).

Love this place so much! We are here at least once a week and know all the staff at this point. The owners are really great people who know what they’re doing. Rotating food trucks are awesome! The beer and shot specials are unique in town and a great deal.

I will never go to the break room bar again. The bartender insisted that my ID was not valid, though it was. So, I showed her 7 other forms of ID, ranging from credit to debit to insurance to university cards. She insisted that I was lying and breaking the law. Because of that I will never come to this bar. This shows that the bartenders are either not trained or are trained to deny people service that they do not like. Whatever the case, the service is beyond unprofessional and should review the state ID laws, considering I would have had to have stolen a wallet and sewn someone else’s face onto mine to have been lying.

Great bar!!! The bar tenders are great! Such a fun environment! Everyone is so nice and accommodating! Big bearded hipster is the best bar back ever he was so nice and helpful! Played great music and had such fun!!! Who ever says otherwise was probably drunk and mad bc they were cut off! We were treated great and will definitely be back! Closes at 12 which is earlier than bars downtown but they were very polite and let us know they were closing and let us buy drinks at last call! So great!

I’ve never posted a review before, but feel like one is needed now. I’ve never been to a place that made me feel more disrespected. It seemed like a decent bar at first, but the hipster goon bouncers make the entire evening uncomfortable. They try to be threatening from the start, which is funny as they are obviously just over grown douche bags(hint: being a big fat ass with a long beard doesn’t make you tough… being a «hipster» pretty much makes you a wuss). They seem to think because they are big, they have a right to behave in a threatening manner… My group of 4 spent around $ 300 at the bar buying rounds and tipping over 25%, over the course of a few hours. No one in our group was acting out of line. The fact that the bouncer, who also worked as a bus boy, was a jerk every time he came to clear the table was enough to make anyone uncomfortable. The fact that he turned the juke box down to an inaudible level two songs into the $ 20 worth of music I’d just paid to listen to, was enough to make anyone mad, but his«f’ you, it’s last call» response, when being asked«what gives?»(it wasn’t last call until after my selecting my music and buying another round) is reason enough to write a review… warning… I mean, telling any potential customers, that don’t mind overspending(and over tipping) to hang out in a place that obviously doesn’t appreciate your business, this is the place for you… If you have a full drink in front of you, $ 18.00 worth of music in the juke box, and have been a good customer all night, you should be treated with respect and gratitude, not ignorant disrespect and someone trying to run you out the door no less than 10 minutes after buying a round and feeding the juke box… I most likely won’t be back, as I like to spend my money where it is appreciated.

The Break Room is a good time and a great place to relax after work. Laid back atmosphere, friendly bartenders, corn hole, picnic tables, food trucks and Crank and Boom nearby – not much more you can ask for on a weeknight when you want to relax with a beer around fellow adults(as opposed to younger UK folk, who tend to stay further in towards downtown). The crowd is an eclectic mix of tattooed artists, bourgeois urban family-types, hipsters, Harley-Davidson aficionados and young urban professionals after work engaged taping their own personal episode of «Girls» or «Entourage.»(People watching is a lot of fun here.) Drinks are meh and slightly pricey. The Break Room is nothing I’d go out of my way for, but a place I’d be often if I lived nearby.

It’s a super laid-back place with such a mish-mash of clientele that it’s interesting just to see who shows up. I felt like I was attending a keg party down in the hills, but in a good way, not a bad way. There are plenty of places to hang around outside on all sides and just enjoy the night and some beer. The actual place is small, though, so come winter it might be less accommodating if it gets crowded.

Sari and I came by for a cold beverage and whatever food truck was here tonight(which turned out to be Rolling Oven, ). The bar and interior is small. Service was fast and friendly. We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze coming off the stream. There’s a deck with chairs and tables, picnic seating and a fire pit. Parking is ample, patrons and staff were friendly. The Break Room is a great place for a good weather afternoon or evening!

In the hot location of rustic distillery district. It has the rough edgy feel. A very hodgepodge collection of people. If you are a craft beer fan and want a biker bar feel. This is a must see! Food truck pull up to the front door. The inside is a bit small but plenty of places outdoors with the back deck over the creek. Also have a fire pit where people hang at. Walking distance to a brewery and a amazing ice cream shop.(bikers need ice cream also)

This place is awesome I must say I was skeptical walking In but how do you beat a outdoor bar with a fire pit, live music, friendly people and a food truck. Definitely a great summer time bar with alot of history around you in the area.

Nice place to hang out with friends. The porch by the creek is definitely a perfect location for a casual hang. However I take one star off because of the mosquitoes. My feet were full of bites when I came back.

Cool little place with a lot of outdoor seating and a real wood fire pit. I’m not a big drinker but they appeared to have a full bar witch limited seating inside but all open air and a back deck near the creek. The water was in a Gott or Igloo water cooler of sorts so that was a drag for me as it was empty and had really small plastic cups but I was only there to be social so I didn’t drink anything. Check it out!

Johnny is the man, the myth, the legend, and the owner(he owns Side Bar also). I have to say this is a great location off Manchester Street. Kind of away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. It is tucked away and far enough off the road to be peaceful. There is a great view of the stream and a lot of parking. That is win win in my book. They are dog friendly which is rare in these parts. The bar and bartenders are all great. I really enjoy sitting out on the deck here and taking in nature while having an ice cold brew. It really is a great addiction to Lexington Pubs. If you want to find a place just to chill and drink, check them out. The last time I was here, they were getting ready to show a drive in movie outside on a blow up screen. How freaking awsome is that? Stop in and have brew. Check out Johnny’s handwork.
